Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 139 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects.
The Role
In this role you will:
- Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Time & Talents’ Community Programme and volunteering offer, ensuring activities are inclusive, responsive to local need and underpinned by strong safeguarding, participation and partnership working.
- Develop meaningful volunteering pathways, including corporate volunteering, embed community voice in programme design and evaluation, and contribute to organisational sustainability through effective budgeting, reporting and fundraising support.

You are an experienced community professional who believes in the power of people coming together to support one another. You bring a mix of strategic thinking and practical delivery, with experience developing community programmes and supporting volunteers to thrive. You are organised, collaborative and confident managing staff, volunteers and partnerships.
You are comfortable working in a busy, community-led environment, balancing day-to-day delivery with longer-term development. Most importantly, you share our commitment to inclusion, participation and community voice, and are excited about helping Time & Talents grow its impact as we begin delivering our new organisational strategy.

This role is 21 hours per week, with flexibility for regular evening and occasional weekend working.

The role
We are looking for a Weekend Assistant to join our Hornsey shop team. You will help the shop run smoothly, provide an excellent experience for customers and donors, and support our fundraising targets. This is a responsible role where you will take ownership of the shop on shift, help drive shop performance, and ensure income is maximised while delivering excellent customer service.
About the role
- Take responsibility for the safe opening and closing of the shop during your shifts (keyholder duties, with full training provided).
- Deliver friendly, inclusive, and professional customer service to everyone visiting or donating.
- Play an active role in maximising shop income and sales so the charity can continue delivering its services.
- Process donations: sort, quality-check, price, and merchandise stock to maximise sales.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and visual merchandising on the shop floor.
- Operate the till, handle cash, and follow agreed procedures.
- Support and work alongside volunteers, helping them feel welcomed, valued, and confident.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in line with the charity’s policies and values.

We are looking for a Head of Charity to lead TVAP to achieve an increased impact in meeting the expectations and needs of our visitors in the ever-changing SEND environment. Working with the Board, the Head of Charity will strategically review the current landscape, new opportunities and funding possibilities to best support our visitors.
Our new Head of Charity will:
- Review the strategy and develop a multi-year implementation plan
- Maximise TVAP’s impact and reach in the community through a focused service offering
- Lead the organisation externally with key stakeholders

We are seeking someone with proven experience in a senior leadership role, who brings:

The Role
As Deputy Shop Manager at our shop in Ilkley, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
Specifically, you will:
- Play an active part in running our shop in Ilkley, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
- Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.
- Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.
- Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment.
- Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).
- Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
- Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.
- Experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will take lead when the Community Shop Manager is away, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service. The Programme Manager will need to work closely with the Advice Service Manager to support the Specialist Advisors in working alongside the generalist advice provision. The Programme Manager will oversee the Active Bystander Programme as well as the expansion of new and existing programmes, including developing personalised packages for departments and an attractive offer for external partner organisations.
Have you got demonstrable experience of working with individuals who have experienced one or more of the following: sexual violence, harassment, gender-based violence or domestic abuse? Have you got an understanding of the impact of sexual violence and sexual harassment on survivors, and how to support them with a trauma informed approach?
