The Opportunity
This is a new and significant appointment for SWT UK. We are looking for a Director of Development to develop and lead our UK fundraising strategy – taking ownership of income generation across all streams, donor communications and supporter stewardship, and managing a team of three talented fundraising professionals.
Our individual supporter base is large globally – growing in UK – loyal and deeply engaged: many give through our elephant adoption programme, which connects them directly with named animals in our care. We are now ready to build on this engaged supporter base and develop it into a structured individual giving programme – with mid-level giving pathways, major donor cultivation, systematic stewardship and deeper philanthropic relationships. That is the central challenge and opportunity of this role.
We also have active corporate and trust relationships, a legacy programme in development, and real potential to grow income from European and international funders. The Director of Development will take ownership of all of this – hands on and strategic in equal measure.

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income.
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.
Hybrid working

We are a small team, looking for a part-time Fundraising Assistant to work alongside our existing Fundraising Officer, with a focus on engaging our donors and supporters and acting as first point of contact for many of our fundraisers, alongside maintaining accurate records and administration that keeps our fundraising running smoothly. About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated fundraiser to develop their experience across events, individual giving and community fundraising within one of the UK's most respected charities.
Working closely with the Senior Development Manager, you'll help deliver a varied portfolio of fundraising activity, including challenge events, community fundraising initiatives and supporter engagement programmes. You'll play a key role in stewarding supporters, coordinating fundraising events and ensuring all activity is delivered to a high standard and in line with fundraising regulations.
The role offers excellent exposure across fundraising disciplines and would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple projects and delivering outstanding supporter experiences.

Salary: £37,000 / €44,200 per annum, depending on location
Location: Fully remote, UK or Ireland, with occasional travel for team meetings and sector events. This will be around twice per year and travel will be paid by the organisation.
Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per week, worked flexibly between 7am-7pm UK/Ireland time

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.
The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.
