As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you’ll help deliver engaging face-to-face and telephone fundraising campaigns to grow Dogs Trust’s supporter base. Working in our Public Fundraising team, you’ll play a key role in helping us care for thousands of dogs across the UK.

What does this role do?
As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you will: 

• respond to public enquiries, complaints, and donation updates related to face-to-face fundraising, ensuring all communications reflect the Dogs Trust brand, tone, and procedures.
• liaise with fundraising agencies to monitor campaign performance, resolve incidents or complaints, and ensure all campaign requirements are met.
• support quality assurance by reviewing mystery shop reports, visiting fundraising sites or agencies, and providing feedback to improve performance.
• assist with administrative and campaign support tasks, including managing fundraising materials, handling database queries, and helping with copy and proofing when required.

This role is being offered as a fixed term, family leave cover contract until December 2026. Interviews are provisionally scheduled for 22nd May 2026, and will take place on Teams.

We are seeking a Legacy & In‑Memory Fundraising Officer to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of legacy and in‑memory fundraising across both charities. This is a vital role focused on growing sustainable long‑term income while providing compassionate, sensitive support to donors and bereaved families.

The Shakespeare Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Fundraising Assistant to join our Income Generation team and play a central role in supporting the Hospice’s fundraising activity.

This role is the first point of contact for many of our supporters, helping to ensure every interaction with the Hospice is positive, responsive and meaningful. Main Purpose Of The Job:

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

Events Planning And Delivery

· Oversee planning and delivery of our community and corporate events including the Golf Day, Race Across Oxfordshire, the Business Breakfast, HOxStock, and the Thank You event.

· Liaise with venues, suppliers and contractors to ensure all events are well planned and professionally run.

· Manage all event communications, from invitations, registration, to event day and follow up, ensuring an excellent support journey throughout.

· Manage and plan event day activity at third party challenge events.

Community Fundraising

· Support the Partnership Fundraising Manager to steward employee fundraising activities e.g. bake sales, Giftmas collections etc.

· Oversee the administration linked to community fundraisers, including updating the database with communications and monitoring and managing fundraising materials.

· Support community fundraisers to use and register on third party platforms e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse, providing encouragement and tips for securing sponsorship and funding.

· Ensure timely and professional communication and interaction with community supporters, and prompt thanking of fundraisers and donors.

· Take responsibility for responding to/redirecting all emails to the shared fundraising inbox.

· Undertake other relevant duties, supporting the Fundraising and Communications team as required.

 Specific Tasks 

1. Event Coordination and Logistics 

• Support the planning and delivery of the Annual Community Summit, working closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, Director of Fundraising and Communications, and wider team. 

• Coordinate logistics for in‑person and online events, including venue liaison, catering, accessibility arrangements, equipment, travel, accommodation and schedules. 

• Ensure event details are accurately published and updated across relevant platforms (website, CRM, communications channels). 

• Manage registration processes for all events and ensure attendees receive timely, accurate joining information. 

• Support the organisation of regional meet‑ups and workshops, ensuring venues, facilitators and resources are in place. 

2. Administration and Operational Delivery 

• Maintain clear and accurate administrative systems, including event checklists, timelines, risk assessments and evaluation forms. 

• Track planned expenditure and ensure costs align with budgets, escalating issues where necessary. 

• Prepare and maintain event collateral (slides, handouts, resources, signage), ensuring accessibility and brand consistency. 

• Provide administrative and practical support during events (both online and in person), including setting up webinar sessions and coordinating pre and post event meetings internally. 

3. Stakeholder and Supplier Management 

• Liaise with venues, suppliers, speakers, exhibitors and partners to ensure high quality event delivery. 

• Develop positive working relationships with internal colleagues to ensure a joined-up programme across support, communications and scientific teams. 

• Provide excellent customer service to participants, responding promptly and sensitively to enquiries, access requirements and logistical questions. 

4. Community and Engagement Support 

• Collaborate with Support Team colleagues to ensure events reflect community needs and priorities. 

• Support the promotion of events through the Communications Officer, ensuring timely provision of copy, event information and updates. 

• Encourage and support attendance from families, young people, professionals and community partners. 

5. Data Management, Monitoring and Evaluation 

• Ensure accurate data entry in CRM systems (eTapestry or similar) for attendee lists, engagement tracking and follow up actions. 

• Collect and analyse feedback, producing short evaluation summaries to inform future planning. 

• Track attendance, trends and logistical improvements, contributing to quarterly reporting. 

6. Risk, Compliance and Quality Assurance 

• Support event risk assessments and ensure compliance with safeguarding, accessibility and GDPR guidance. 

• Ensure that content and delivery meet Action Duchenne’s quality standards and reflect the needs of families affected by Duchenne.

Person Specification 

Knowledge & Experience 

Essential

• Experience organising in person events from start to finish for over 300 attendees. 

• Experience liaising with suppliers, venues and speakers. 

• Experience with CRM/data entry, with close attention to detail. 

• Experience organising and hosting remote events. 

• Understanding of hybrid events. 

Desirable

• Experience in the charity sector. 

• Knowledge of Duchenne or similar life-limiting conditions.

Headway UK– the brain injury association, supports thousands of people every year. Every 90 seconds, someone is admitted to a UK hospital with a brain injury. Brain injury can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. The Fundraising Team raises critical funds and awareness so that everyone affected by brain injury has the support they need to live well.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a central support role across the Fundraising Team, providing high-quality income, operational and stewardship support, with specialist activities for corporate, community and events fundraising.

You will:

• Be the first point of contact between fundraisers and Headway UK, helping to build initial relationships.
• Ensure effective income management working closely with the Finance Team.
• Help deliver supporter stewardship, welcoming and thanking our community, challenge events and individual supporters.
• Support the Corporate Partnerships Manager, helping with our Corporate Membership and building our new business prospect pipeline.
• Attend key events, alongside the Events Team, including at the London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon, Great North Run and our Annual Awards.  
• Represent Headway at community events, ensuring our supporters receive the best possible experience.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of delivering and leading major donor fundraising, membership schemes, corporate partnerships as well as securing significant funds from Trusts and Foundations.

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for implementing the charity’s fundraising strategy to increase our fundraised income to support all areas of our activity. This will be achieved by connecting donors and supporters to our mission to delight and unite communities through the power of live performance and participation. 

The charity has ambitious plans for the future. We will continue to invest in the beautiful Theatre Royal Winchester. With the absence of Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, we will be transitioning to a new structure and funding model for future Hat Fair festivals. The Fundraising Manager role will be vital in:

About Us:

At York Road Project, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness in Woking. We believe in harnessing the unique strengths and potential of each individual to create a pathway towards stability and independence. We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to join our team who can support our Fundraising Manager to secure charitable income essential to the delivery of our services.

The Role:

As our Fundraising Officer, you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to deliver our fundraising strategy. You will help deliver annual fundraising events; bid to corporate supporters, trusts and foundations; and build strong relationships with community organisations and individual donors. You will be part of a fantastic team, dedicated to making a real difference in defeating homelessness.

We are looking for a passionate and adaptable individual, who can support the Fundraising Manager across all voluntary income streams, from formal bids to fun community events.

This role is especially crucial as our charity’s need for fundraised income has risen significantly in the last three years - as result of the increased cost of living, and reduced support from the local authority. Despite these challenges, York Road Project’s work remains immensely valuable to the local community. As an integral member of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Administrator will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the centre, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s.   

As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.  

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.  
 

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as some local travel.
