Feeling scared, powerless, or anxious in healthcare settings doesn’t just trigger a child’s emotions; it can create traumas that impact treatment success and that can have a life-long impact. Starlight’s aim is to transform children’s health through better experiences, by putting play at the heart of every child’s healthcare.
Evidence shows that play in healthcare can reduce anxiety, fear and even pain; it helps children engage and prepare for their treatment and cope better with procedures; it minimises trauma and contributes to a better experience; and supports children to have some sense of agency and control in an environment where these opportunities are limited. Play can also reduce the number of attempts to deliver treatment, the need for sedation and the need for repeat appointments. Prioritising children’s right to play in healthcare results in healthier, happier children who are involved in their own healing and recovery as well as more efficient treatment and care.

Role Overview
Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and have played a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.
With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity cover needed until around May next year, this 9-month fixed-term role exists to lead, develop and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level. Immediate responsibilities are for the Starlight Health Play Awards a key stewardship event in October; and the development of a Royal Palace Event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Starlight likely to be in November. There is also the opportunity to shape the Starlight Event Strategy, with the development of a new event building on the success of our Newbury Race Days and the development of our biennial activity with the Blenheim Ball Committee.
This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running. Working closely with the Starlight Team and Committees, you will bring leadership, strategic judgement and outstanding project management to ensure Starlight events continue to excel in reputation, income and supporter experience.

Brief role description:
The Head of Partner Management role is responsible for leading on and strengthening
relationships with parkrun's corporate partners (external) both in the UK and globally. This
role involves maintaining and developing partnerships through regular face-to-face
meetings and communications, identifying opportunities to enhance revenue and value, and
ensuring partners align with parkrun's strategy. The role exists within the Commercial &
Fundraising team supporting global staff to ensure best practice across parkrun Global
partner footprint. As a senior staff member you will work with various teams to execute
successful partner campaigns and deliver partner’s rights. You will also support and on
identifying new sponsors and opportunities with corporates to increase revenue to parkrun.
Main responsibilities:
● Working with local partnership managers, manage and grow relationships with
parkrun’s global commercial partners ensuring strong collaboration and mutual
benefit.
● Develop parkrun’s account management processes and documentation globally with
an aim to be world class, using KPI and objective planning, data to measure
performance and ensuring regional partnership managers successfully achieve the
objectives of partners in their region.
● Create, manage and implement campaigns on behalf of partners, monitor and report
on performance of these campaigns and ensure the delivery of contracted rights.
Ensure best practice from these campaigns is shared across the parkrun territories.
● Work with Global Head of Commercial & Fundraising to identify, negotiate and on
board new partners and take a lead on renewing contracts with existing partners.
● Explore innovative ideas to enhance the rights offered to partners and identify
opportunities to increase value. Lead on exploring how parkrun can work with the
corporate sector; identifying opportunities that drive income not only from rights but
alignment with parkrun’s charitable mission.
● Build and manage a small, fast-paced, high-performance and collaborative team that
champions parkrun’s partners and their work.
Stay up to date with industry trends within the sports and charity sector, engage in
sector networking, and ensure parkrun adopts best practices in sponsorship
management to maximise partnerships and maintain a competitive edge

About the role

Over the past 12 months, SOS UK has laid the foundations for a new relationship fundraising programme. During this period, an Interim Head of Relationship Fundraising established a strong pipeline of prospective partners and supporters, developed a suite of partnership propositions and engagement materials, and built relationships with organisations aligned to SOS UK's mission.
Alongside this, SOS UK is launching a new Development Board, bringing together leaders from industries facing key green skills shortages alongside young people helping to shape the future workforce and sustainability agenda. You will join at a pivotal moment, helping to deliver the first phase of this newly established fundraising programme. About the role
Reporting in to the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor, the Church Engagement & Fundraising Officer is a proactive fundraising and church engagement role.
You will be out in churches and communities across London and the home counties, building new relationships, strengthening existing high-value support, and inspiring churches to give, act and pray with Christian Aid.
You will identify and approach prospective churches, pick up the phone to book meetings, speak confidently in church services and local gatherings, and make compelling asks that lead to increased giving and deeper engagement.
This is a remote team to facilitate post holders to be proactively present in local church communities. Much of your impact will come from being out and about: visiting churches, meeting clergy and volunteers, attending local events, speaking at services, and building relationships face to face. You should expect regular travel across London and the home counties, including some evenings and weekends.

Main Purpose of the Role
The Head of Partnerships and Networks provides senior leadership for EHCVS’s partnerships, networks, and income development. Reporting to the CEO, the post-holder strengthens the voice and connectivity of the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) and develops new, sustainable income for the organisation and the wider sector.
The role focuses on growing corporate funding and business partnerships, developing Hounslow Giving (the borough’s place-based giving scheme) in partnership with the Head of Volunteering, and encouraging collaboration and consortium bids across the VCS.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Funding and Income Development
• Lead the development of corporate funding, sponsorship, and business partnerships to generate sustainable income for EHCVS and the wider sector.

About the role
As our first dedicated Fundraising Officer, you'll work closely with our Partnerships & Development Manager and small income generation team, helping to grow and diversify the funding that sustains and scales our mission.
This is a hands-on, varied role with real scope to develop your fundraising career in a fast-growing charity. You'll support the income generation team with day-to-day fundraising activities across multiple income streams, with a focus on trusts and foundations alongside corporate partnerships, high net worth individuals and individual giving.
You’ll be:
- Preparing funding applications and grant writing: researching, developing, and submitting high-quality applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate funders, drafting compelling proposals that bring GoodWork's impact to life
- Prospect research and pipeline management: support with identifying new funding opportunities and maintaining accurate records of all fundraising contacts, applications, and deadlines, and helping to monitor income targets and reporting cycles
- Relationship management: supporting with building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with current and prospective funders
- Funder reporting: managing reporting cycles and producing accurate, engaging impact reports that demonstrate GoodWork's value to funders
- Events and engagement: supporting the coordination of funder engagement opportunities and events
- Cross-team collaboration: working across the GoodWork team to gather impact data and programme insights that strengthen funding applications and reports

What we're looking for
We're looking for an ambitious, motivated fundraiser who is driven by GoodWork's mission and ready to take ownership of a varied and impactful role. For this role, we’re looking for someone with at least a year's experience in a charity fundraising team, with exposure to trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, high net worth, or community fundraising.
- Excellent written communication and grant writing skills: a proven ability to write compelling, persuasive funding proposals and funder reports that translate complex information into clear, motivating narratives, with strong attention to detail
- Analytical skills: confidence working with data and numbers, including the ability to pull together impact information and basic budget figures to support funding applications and funder reports
- Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders and colleagues at all levels
- Strong organisational skills: comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and reporting cycles, and taking ownership of your own workload

- Salary: £33,280 annually with 4% employer pension contribution.
- Hybrid (London), 3 day/s a week in-person with the team at GoodWork HQ, Warren Street.
- 25 days holiday per year (pro rated), plus Bank Holidays and additional leave during our annual Winter Break between Christmas and New Year.
