The Role
This is a key role in ensuring that we continue to secure the resources we need to provide our vital services and activities for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants in South London. As Fundraising Manager for SLRA, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our fundraising strategy, building relationships with donors and exceeding fundraising goals. We are predominantly funded by Trusts and Foundations and you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding this funder base, while helping to diversify our income streams in order to ensure that established services and activities are sustained.

As an Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, this is a fantastic entry level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. and you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events the Schools Triathlon. You’ll gain hands on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. A big part of your role will involve delivering fun and engaging school assemblies, encouraging pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Expected travel: Regular travel to London for staff meetings and other areas in the UK. Evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given. Expenses for travel and work outside working hours will be given according to our policy.
Other requirements: Must have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle. Will be required to complete DBS check.

This varied and rewarding role is ideal for someone with experience in community engagement, fundraising, supporter development or public-facing relationship management. Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising team, you will attend and organise community events, deliver presentations and educational outreach activities, develop supporter pipelines, and help create meaningful experiences for donors, volunteers, schools, businesses and community groups.
