Trauma Recovery CIC is a female founded not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to providing vital support services for victims and survivors of trauma. Founded in 2020, our mission is to build a safe, supportive, accessible, and sustainable service for the community.

Butterflies Lived Experience Community is an integral part of Trauma Recovery CIC, bringing together people with lived experience of sexual, domestic and/or relational trauma to form a community that supports each members ongoing recovery journey.

Every member of the Butterflies team has direct personal lived experience of sexual, domestic and/or relational trauma and use their own courage to support others to connect with theirs and use this to fuel their recovery.

The team consists of level 1,2 and 3 Lived Experience Facilitators, Volunteer Ambassadors who come together to support community members and develop the service on a co-production model. 

The Level 3 LEF Role

Our Level 3 LEF role requires a Social Work qualification and registration.

As well as facilitating groups and key working, Level 3 LEF’s take responsibility for:

• Completing initial appointments with new community members to ensure that the team has a good
  understanding of their support needs and that they can be safely supported through Butterflies LEC.

• Mentoring and supporting the Level 1 and 2 LEF’s and Ambassadors

• Working with community members, team members, Trauma Recovery leadership team and partner
  organisations to develop the service.

• Facilitating the understanding trauma programmes

• Providing reporting data to Trauma Recovery CIC Business Operations Lead and working with them to complete
  reports for funders and funding/grant applications.

• Co-chairing the Lived Experience Forum

• Contribute to the newsletters, social media, attend events to promote the service (at times this may require
  attending events outside of usual working hours).

• Ensure that all team members complete required admin accurately and in a timely manner and processes are
  followed.

• Highlight concerns about team members to the leadership team, identify ways to support the team or team
  member and offer the support.

Our ideal candidate

• Is someone who has walked their own recovery journey, experienced therapeutic support as part of this and understands the benefits on both a personal and professional level of therapy and group support.
• They will be a qualified, registered Social Worker with relevant social work experience of co-ordinating a service, mentoring team members and working from a systemic perspective.
• They will have experience of completing risk assessments, keeping records and using software and systems to do this effectively.
• They will be able to communicate and connect with people from a variety of backgrounds, understand their individual needs and work creatively to meet them in way that supports recovery.

Job Title – Project Management Officer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities Include:

The Role

You will play a key part in engaging our community of supporters, from marathon runners to monthly donors to guests at our bespoke events. You’ll lead on mass‑participation challenge events, support the development of our membership/regular giving programme, and help plan and deliver creative, impactful experiences that bring supporters closer to our mission. Core Responsibilities

• Support the Account Manager in maintaining and progressing a pipeline of stakeholder and client relationships, ensuring consistent and timely communication

• Attend client and partner meetings alongside (or on behalf of) the Account Manager; take live notes, capture actions and send clear follow-up summaries to stakeholders

• Track delivery of all agreed actions with the Account Manager, flagging delays or issues proactively

Role Overview

Mothers’ Union is seeking a talented and organised Communications & Publications Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality written communications across the charity. This role will play a key part in shaping and sharing our voice through articles, press releases, media engagement, and the management of our two publications.

Working closely with the Acting Director of Communications & Marketing, the postholder will help ensure that Mothers’ Union’s mission, faith, impact, and advocacy work are clearly, professionally, and consistently communicated to members, supporters, clergy, partners, and the wider public.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career communications professional with strong writing skills and an interest in faith-based or charitable work.

Key Responsibilities

Writing & Editorial

·Researching, writing, and editing articles, features, and news stories for internal and external publications.

·Drafting press releases, media statements, briefings, and opinion pieces.

·Supporting the production and editorial coordination of Mothers’ Union newsletters, magazines, and other publications (print and digital).

·Proofreading and ensuring consistency of tone, style, and brand voice across all communications.

·Assisting with the development of case studies and impact stories.

·Maintain an up-to-date bank of FAQs, accessible to all staff members, to respond to regular queries from within and outside the membership.

·Update a PowerPoint quarterly with briefing notes for colleagues and members speaking about MU externally.

Media & Public Relations

·Supporting proactive media outreach and maintaining media contact lists.

·Responding to media enquiries in coordination with the Director of Communications & Marketing.

·Preparing briefing documents for interviews and public appearances.

·Monitoring media coverage and compiling press reports.

·Identifying opportunities for earned media coverage to raise awareness of Mothers’ Union’s work.

·Creating resources to help members connect with local media such as draft press releases and how to write engaging news stories.

Publications Management

·Coordinating content schedules and deadlines for the charity’s bi-yearly Connected Magazine and the annual Prayer Diary.

·Liaising with contributors, designers, printers, and external suppliers as required.

·Ensuring all publications meet brand and editorial standards.

·Proofreading external collateral for teams across the charity.

·Assisting with distribution planning and stakeholder communications.

Administrative & Team Support

·Managing the Communications and Marketing inboxes.

·Supporting campaign delivery through written materials and briefing documents.

·Assisting with communications for events, exhibitions, and key initiatives.

·Managing incoming communications requests and scheduling workflow.

·Attending team meetings and contributing ideas.

·Supporting cross-organisational communication projects as required.

·Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences including clergy.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Job Sumnmary for Director of Charitable Impact

As the Executive Director of Charitable Impact at Bowel Cancer UK, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our mission: ensuring that everyone with bowel cancer is diagnosed at the earliest stages, receives the best possible care and that more people survive the disease and thrive beyond their diagnosis.

You will lead the charity’s research programmes, policy and influencing, patient services, healthcare professional education, and health information functions. You will ensure these programmes deliver measurable impact on early diagnosis, equity of access, and better outcomes for people with bowel cancer, particularly focusing on reducing health inequalities and addressing the growing incidence of bowel cancer in people under 50.

Working closely with the Strategy & Insight unit, you will embed robust evaluation and evidence into all our work and lead the development of new patient-facing services and digital innovations – including the use of AI – to expand our reach and improve outcomes.

Stopover provides the only female-specific supported housing for young women in Brighton & Hove and West Sussex.
