About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.
Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role
The Development Director (Philanthropy) provides strategic leadership across Impetus’ philanthropy and stewardship portfolio, with responsibility for relationship management, renewal, growth and selected new business activity. The postholder will work with high-value funders, including corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
In 25/26, the Philanthropy and Partnerships team generated £11m in philanthropic income, alongside £2.8m in pro bono contributions. The Development Director will play a key role in delivering Impetus’ growth ambitions, supporting the increase in philanthropic income to £14m by 2029.
Working closely with the Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the role will translate the fundraising strategy into clear stewardship, renewal, relationship-growth and selected new business plans, ensuring strong donor retention, high-quality engagement and sustainable growth in high-value income.
Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the postholder will oversee the donor lifecycle across the philanthropy portfolio, with particular focus on strategic stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and the effective transition of selected prospects into long-term donor relationships. They will personally lead and support significant six and seven-figure donor relationships and selected funding opportunities, while working with colleagues to ensure the philanthropy pipeline, stewardship plans and account management disciplines are strong.
Working collaboratively across the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and with colleagues across the organisation, the Development Director will ensure a joined-up approach to donor stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and selected donor acquisition, maximising income, partnership value and long-term impact within the agreed fundraising strategy.

The Assistant Finance and Operations Manager is a new role for The Christie Charity (Charity) and a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to work for a fast moving, growing organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take ownership in the finance team for day-to-day transactional processing for The Christie Charity group. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of charity and commercial finance. The postholder will act as the first point of escalation for transactional matters which cannot be readily resolved by the Finance Officers and as a key point of contact for routine finance queries from external third parties. The Assistant Finance and Operations Manager will be an important day-to-day user of the Charity's finance and purchase-to-pay systems and will take a lead operational role in ensuring these systems are used consistently and effectively. The postholder will support Finance Officers and wider Charity colleagues with system and process queries, monitor compliance with agreed financial procedures and identify recurring issues or opportunities to improve processes. Upon joining The Christie Charity, day-to-day financial transaction processing will continue to be delivered by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust during the initial months of the role, therefore, the postholder will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their finance team to ensure seamless operations and continuity across the Charity group.
These functions are anticipated to transfer to the Charity group with the postholder taking ownership of these responsibilities within the first 3 months in role. The postholder will be expected to work autonomously to ensure the smooth transition of activities to the Charity.

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction to rebuild their lives. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Recovery Community & Therapeutic Service Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our Recovery Community and Therapeutic Service.
This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week and is fully onsite at our Shoreditch hub. There is some flexibility around how the hours are worked across the week, although ideally Friday will be included as a working day.
This is a key leadership role bringing together therapeutic support, aftercare, peer-led activity, volunteering, training and community engagement to create an integrated recovery journey. You will ensure that people accessing SCT's services have opportunities to strengthen their recovery capital, build supportive networks and progress towards greater independence and wellbeing.

About you
We are looking for someone with significant experience of leading services within recovery, social care, community development, housing, health or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of addiction recovery and the challenges experienced by people affected by homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
You will be a confident and collaborative leader with experience of managing people, developing programmes, building partnerships and delivering measurable outcomes. You'll also bring strong organisational and communication skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice.
Above all, we're looking for someone who can inspire others, develop strong services and help create an environment in which people in recovery are active participants in their own community.

The role is based at Hautbois, right in the Norfolk countryside. Flexible working may be possible where it suits the business, though some evenings and weekends will be part of the job given the nature of a residential site. The centre isn’t easily reached by public transport, so a car and full driving licence are essential for commuting and the occasional meeting further afield.

Summary of Main Duties and Objectives of the Job:
· Assist in managing crisis response and advocacy teams.
· Provide case oversight and ensure adherence to advocacy standards.

Support the Group Manager to :

· Build and maintain relationships with commissioners, funders, and community partners.
· Support the professional development of staff and volunteers through supervision, appraisal, and training.

· Lead safeguarding practice within the group, ensuring robust policies and procedures are in place.

About you
We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.
The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.
