Responsibilities of our Surveyor:
- Manage a designated portfolio of properties, delivering repairs and maintenance as required
- Be a property expert for colleagues across the estate, giving high levels of service and support.
- Oversee property works in alignment with retail and operations managers within agreed SLAs
- Assess property issues and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate records across estate/FM databases and cloud-based systems
- Provide advice on retail/commercial lease acquisitions and disposals
- Liaise with agents, landlords, neighboring occupiers, solicitors and local authorities
- Procure and manage contractors, ensuring they are vetted and all work meets H&S legislation
About the Estates and Construction team:
The Estates and Construction team manage a wide-ranging and diverse portfolio that reflects the breadth of the estate. Within the region covered, the portfolio includes purpose-built cat adoption and homing centres (both freehold and leasehold), a network of leasehold charity shops, multi-pen sites, and a small number of residential properties. Occasionally, surveying expertise is also required for matters relating to legacy properties.
What we’re looking for in our Surveyor:
- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification
- Current membership of a professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB, IWFM
- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Working Knowledge of retail/commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals
- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience
- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k, including financial controls as EA or CA and contractor management
- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties
- Strong Microsoft Office skills

We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking a part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in Crisis Skylight London.
You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times.

About the role
The Therapeutic Services Project Manager will lead on performance monitoring and reporting to funders ensuring robust data governance, GDPR compliance and to inform service delivery, development, survivor engagement and organisational performance. This role is critical to embedding a culture of data-driven decisionmaking, using performance monitoring to support high-quality service delivery in line with sector standards and quality assurance frameworks. You will be managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team who provides a blend of both long-term and short-term support to people experiencing multiple levels of disadvantages and interconnecting needs. Modelling a psychologically informed approach, you will manage a team who develops and builds relationships so that every person gets the support they need to move them away from their experiences of homelessness. Through a compassionate and adaptive leadership and management style, you will enable creativity, and professional curiosity, strengthen resilience, and team well-being to be able to meet the different needs and aspirations of the people we support. With a working knowledge of housing options, health inclusion approaches and social care entitlements, you will be both strength-based and solution focused, maximising and developing partnerships internally and externally to enhance service provision. Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)
Location: The GAIA Centre (Lambeth, London)
Salary: £29,701.36 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern is 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Occasional late early shifts: 8am-4pm or late shifts: 1pm – 6pm on a rota basis to cover duty (approximately 2-3 days a month). Flexibility on how the hours is spread across the week within these times.
The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:
· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.
The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

Job Purpose:
The Head of Operations at Skillway oversees all operational aspects of this arm of the charity, ensuring the successful delivery of all our educational programmes. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and day-to-day management, including student recruitment and retention, staff oversight, fundraising, and partnership management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social impact and committed to improving the lives of vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management and Delivery
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training in woodwork, metalwork and other crafts.
• Ensure the training meets the educational and personal development needs of vulnerable young people.
• Monitor student progress, providing support to overcome barriers and ensuring high-quality, impactful learning experiences.
• Develop new initiatives and adapt the existing training programmes to meet the evolving needs of students, schools and the community.
• Develop a long-term strategy for the growth of Skillway.
• Set and model high standards for the staff team, volunteers and students.

• Oversee the preparation of funding applications and reports for donors and grant-making bodies.
• Maintain financial oversight, ensuring effective use of resources, monitoring expenses and reporting financial performance to the Board using Quickbooks as the primary accounting and reporting tool.
• Improve branding and awareness of Skillway and its aims and purpose.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, schools, community groups, donors, and business partners.
• Represent the charity in public and at events, advocating for the charity's mission and the importance of vocational education for vulnerable young people.
• Ensure the charity’s work is widely known and respected in the community.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Implement systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of Skillway’s work.
• Gather feedback from participants, staff, and stakeholders to assess programme effectiveness and make improvements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Trustees, funders, and other stakeholders on the charity’s impact and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within the charity or education sector.
• Background in vocational education, youth work, or a related field, with a focus on supporting vulnerable young people.
• Experience in leading and managing a diverse team, with the ability to inspire, support, and develop staff.
