Role specifics
Stewardship:

Monitor and help deliver the multi channel supporter enquiries process, ensuring response rate is in line with CALM’s SLA and fundraisers are directed to the appropriate support.

Proactively support fundraisers, when directed, throughout their journey, to support with the effective planning and delivery of supporter activities.

Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required.

Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.

Support on the maintenance, optimisation and creation of relevant pages on the CALM website.

Support the fundraising and Marketing & Communications team to identify supporters we can profile and champion by regularly checking fundraising pages, social media and event registrations.

Support the Social Fundraising Manager with ad moderation where required
Operational and administrative support:

Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM

Act as first point of contact for individual donors via email, phone and post, processing office donations and completing payment runs to the bank.

Support retention activities, including upgrade, reactivation and loyalty journeys.

When relevant coordinate mailing logistics (briefing agencies, checking proofs, managing print and fulfilment)

Fulfilment:

Work with the Product team to maintain the supporter merchandise online portal, reporting on sales of merchandise and managing kit restock and reordering processes across fundraising.

Act as the main point of contact for the relationship with our fulfilment partner, managing enquiries and escalation issues.

Oversee stock management, ensuring our supporter store availability reflects current stock levels and being responsible for co-ordinating timely restocking.

A rare opportunity to step into a fully established role with a full handover. This role also includes providing daily assistance in the running of the prison library and of library outreach including facilitation of activity groups.

Action for Conservation is a UK grassroots charity using innovative approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. In 2019, we launched our flagship Penpont Project on a 2,000-acre estate in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales. The Penpont Project is the largest intergenerational nature restoration project of its kind in the world, aiming to demonstrate how youth leadership and ambition can advance nature’s recovery at a time of acute ecological crisis.
We are currently looking for a Community Tree Nursery Coordinator to join the Penpont Project and run our Community Tree Nursery, growing trees from native tree species, including trees of conservation and heritage value, through collaborative learning and community-building activities. The focus of the role is as much on intergenerational learning and community engagement as it is on the processes of tree rearing and producing trees for planting out across the landscape. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with good knowledge of tree planting, growth and care, and a passion for working with young people and communities. We have an exciting opening for a full time Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser within our friendly and supportive Income Generation Team, based at our site in Farnham, Surrey. This role will see you working with a variety of businesses, large and small, local, national and even multinational companies across our catchment area. You will be helping companies to understand the impact of their support, using stories to engage with contacts at all levels and helping to support them with events, challenges, sponsorship and volunteering. About You
A successful Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will:
- Have experience working within corporate charity partnerships or a commercial business development/account management environment with transferable relationship management skills
- Have the ability to work in a busy team, managing conflicting priorities and be adaptable to changing demands on your time
- Be a natural people person with strong communication skills to engage with a variety of corporate contacts at various levels within organisations on the phone, face to face and in written communications
- Have excellent presentation skills and present themselves professionally
- Have experience working with supporters/customers/volunteers to deliver exceptional service and support, with a solution-focused approach
- Be confident in managing your own time with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Enjoy building effective relationships with colleagues as part of a lively team
- Have a flexible approach to working hours as the role involves some evening and weekend working and be prepared to travel across the PT catchment area to maximise fundraiser support

This is an exciting role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The government has just published a UK wide cross-government child poverty strategy, and made some historic commitments to reduce child poverty including scrapping the two-child limit and expanding free school meals in England. However, there is more to do, and this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to monitor the impact of these changes and influence policy makers and parliamentarians to ensure child poverty is high up the agenda.
We are looking for someone with a track record of communicating complex policy areas in an accessible manner to a range of non-specialist audiences. You will have knowledge of parliamentary processes and the different advocacy levers that can be used to influence change. You will enjoy working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions, working closely with colleagues across the organisation as well as externally.
In addition, in a senior policy officer we are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing CPAG’s policy and research programme, including leading the delivery of research projects, helping to shape our press and campaigns work, and contributing to the development of future projects including fundraising.
You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues.
The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, sharing analysis and expertise as part of the DWP’s review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of the green paper on the changes to disability benefits.
