About The Role
The Head of Risk Management & Insurance is a senior leadership role with significant influence across the organisation, reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer and working closely with the Executive Board, Board of Trustees and Audit & Risk Committee. You will take ownership of the organisation’s approach to risk, insurance and business continuity, providing the expertise, assurance and constructive challenge needed to support confident decision-making at the highest level. About the role
Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary.You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the East of England region, which includes Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. There will be occasional travel around the East of England Region, and you may be required to travel at short notice for face-to-face meetings.
About the team
The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteer caseworkers in the East of England, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Regional Casework Manager and a Regional Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare support in key areas such as disability, benefits, mobility, mental health support or local authority provision. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the East of England would be valuable.

The Campaigns and Mobilisation Manager role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced campaigner to lead Scope’s campaigning and mobilisation work. We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader who can develop impactful campaigns, inspire people to take action and ensure disabled people’s voices and experiences are at the heart of everything we do. The role will play a key part in helping Scope deliver social change and create an equal future with disabled people.
Permanent, full time (35 hours a week)
Location: Here East. The post-holder may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as travel and stay away from home occasionally.

The role
Working as part of the Policy, Research and Influencing department, you will lead Scope’s approach to campaigning and mobilisation. You’ll develop and deliver long-term campaign strategies, build support for our campaigns and work with colleagues and external partners to maximise our reach, influence and impact. You’ll also lead and develop a high-performing team and help strengthen campaigning capability across the organisation.
You will:
· Lead and develop Scope’s campaigning and mobilisation strategy, ensuring our work is ambitious, evidence-led and focused on creating change for disabled people.
· Manage and develop a high-performing Campaigns and Mobilisation team, creating a supportive, inclusive and ambitious team culture.
· Work with colleagues across Scope to develop and deliver campaigns that support our strategic priorities and objectives.
· Ensure campaigns have clear objectives, measurable outcomes and effective evaluation to maximise impact and learning.
· Build strong relationships across Scope to increase engagement with and support for campaigning activity.
· Develop partnerships and networks that increase the reach and impact of Scope’s campaigns.
· Identify new opportunities, trends and approaches that strengthen Scope’s campaigning and mobilisation work.
· Represent Scope externally with partners, coalitions, stakeholders and the media where appropriate.

· Strong political awareness and understanding of the environment in which charities campaign and influence change.
· Experience acting as a spokesperson with the media or external stakeholders.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Youth Worker to join our team. Based at Oasis Community Hub MediaCityUK, you will lead our youth work provision, delivering mentoring, youth clubs, holiday activities and detached youth work within local communities. You will play a key role in supporting young people aged 10 to 16 to overcome barriers, raise aspirations and access positive opportunities.
As Lead Youth Worker, you will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and supervision to a small team of youth workers and volunteers, ensuring the delivery of safe, inclusive and high-quality youth work provision. You will work closely with schools, community partners and statutory services to support young people through both targeted interventions and universal youth provision.
