The Communications Co-ordinator plays an important role in helping MindOut communicate its impact, services, campaigns and community voice to a wide range of stakeholders. Working closely with the Charity Director, Heritage Project Manager, staff team, volunteers and external partners, the postholder will ensure MindOut's communications remain engaging, accessible, inclusive and reflective of LGBTQ+ lived experiences. 

While supporting with our communications for the charity, the role has a particular focus on supporting communications for MindOut's National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Speaking Our Minds: MindOut 25+ Years and LGBTQ Mental Health, helping to capture and share the stories, achievements and learning from the project while increasing engagement with LGBTQ communities, funders and supporters. 

This opportunity would suit a creative and organised communications professional who enjoys producing content, managing digital platforms, engaging with audiences and supporting community-focused projects. 

Role description 

You will bring the skills, experience, creativity and confidence to support all aspects of MindOut's communications, marketing and public profile, helping to promote our services, campaigns, community engagement activities and heritage work. 

Main Tasks 

Communications & Content Creation 

• Develop and deliver engaging communications across MindOut's social media, website, newsletters and other communication channels. 

• Create accessible and inclusive content that reflects the diversity of LGBTQ+ communities. 

• Write articles, blogs, case studies, impact stories, promotional materials and project updates. 

• Support the development of a consistent organisational voice and communication style. 

• Gather and manage photographs, testimonials, quotes, video content and community stories, ensuring appropriate consent and permissions are obtained. 

Social Media & Digital Engagement 

• Lead on the day-to-day management of MindOut's social media platforms. 

• Plan and schedule content using appropriate digital tools. 

• Monitor engagement, respond appropriately to enquiries and identify opportunities to increase reach and engagement. 

• Track performance and provide regular reports on communications activity and impact. 

• Keep up to date with relevant trends, campaigns and issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities and mental health. 

Heritage Project Communications 

• Lead communications activity for Speaking Our Minds: MindOut 25+ Years and LGBTQ Mental Health. 

• Promote project activities including oral history interviews, workshops, exhibitions, volunteer opportunities and public events. 

• Support the development and promotion of online heritage content and digital exhibitions. 

• Work alongside volunteers, participants and partners to showcase project outcomes and achievements. 

• Assist with gathering project evidence, feedback and impact stories required for funder reporting. 

Events & Community Engagement 

• Support the promotion and delivery of community events, awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities. 

• Produce event marketing materials and communications. 

• Coordinate communications before, during and after events. 

• Support relationships with community groups, partners, funders and stakeholders. 

Website & Email Communications 

• Maintain and update website content. 

• Produce and distribute newsletters and email communications using appropriate digital platforms. 

• Support audience development and mailing list management in line with GDPR requirements. 

• Monitor website and email performance and identify opportunities for improvement. 

Media & Public Relations 

• Draft press releases, media statements and promotional content. 

• Build relationships with local, regional and LGBTQ+ media contacts. 

• Support media opportunities that raise awareness of MindOut's work and impact. 

• Assist senior staff with communications relating to public campaigns and organisational announcements. 

Administration & Monitoring 

• Maintain accurate communications records, image libraries and consent documentation. 

• Support monitoring and evaluation of communications activities. 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality and organisational policies. 

• Produce reports on communications activity for funders, management and trustees as required.

As Homelessness Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, structured, person-centred support to companions in supported housing, enabling them to build independence, achieve planned outcomes, progress along a clear pathway and successfully move on to independent living. The role is responsible for coordinating and managing each individual’s support plan, ensuring all interventions are outcome-focused and aligned to progression goals. 

The role is also responsible for ensuring all support activity is clearly evidenced in line with Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023 requirements, including accurate, timely and outcome focused recording on our case management system, and for maintaining high standards of professional practice. In addition, the role includes housing management responsibilities, ensuring companions understand and meet the requirements of their licence agreement, maintain their accommodation, and that repairs and maintenance issues are appropriately escalated.

Bridges Outcomes Partnerships (BOP) is a not-for-profit social enterprise that works alongside Government, community groups and specialist Delivery partners to design and deliver vital services that support people to improve their lives, in areas ranging from housing and employment to education and health & wellbeing.

About the role

In 2018 Bridges Outcomes Partnerships co-designed the Single Homelessness Prevention service with Brent Council following the Homelessness Reduction Act (2018). The service provides early intervention to prevent or relieve homelessness for single people who previously would not have received support, aiming to prevent the mental trauma associated with homelessness and stop individuals reaching crisis point.

Our services continue to evolve into models that combine homelessness prevention, refugee support, and family stability interventions to improve life chances for vulnerable people and reduce the long-term impacts of housing instability and child poverty.

The Referral & Assessment Officer is a key role within the London Partnership, it is the first point of contact for people who have experienced trauma or are struggling to find a home.  

As part of the role, you will be responsible for the following activities within this element of the service

• Receive and process referrals from Brent Council, acting as the central point of access for the service.

• Review each referral against the service eligibility criteria, completing an initial triage assessment to determine the most appropriate support pathway.

• Contact clients where required to gather any outstanding information or supporting documentation needed to progress their referral.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Brent Council, delivery partners and other stakeholders to support effective referral pathways and timely allocation of referrals.

• Liaise regularly with Brent Council and delivery partners to resolve referral queries, gather outstanding information and ensure referrals progress efficiently

• Identify, record and escalate any immediate safeguarding concerns through the appropriate safeguarding procedures.

• Record client support needs, risks and relevant information on the case management system to ensure delivery partners have the information required to provide safe and effective support.

• Maintain timely, accurate and comprehensive records on the case management system in line with service standards

• Work closely with the Programme Manager to monitor referral activity, identify issues or opportunities, and recommend improvements where appropriate.

• Ensure the service is accessible and inclusive, recognising individual communication, language, cultural and accessibility needs.

• Produce regular reports on referral activity, triage performance and emerging trends for the Programme Manager and commissioners.

This is a hybrid role. The postholder will be expected to work across a combination of home working, Bridges offices and partner locations. This will include regular attendance at Turning Point in Brent to work alongside Brent Council and partner organisations, supporting the effective management of referrals and the development of local referral pathways.

Main Responsibilities

• Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.

About the Role: 

 We are looking for an experienced insight professional to join the Data & Insight Team, who will lead on our insight work, delivered through meaningful data analysis, reporting and research activities.

This is a hands-on technical role, so we’re looking for someone with significant experience building and maintaining datasets, using analytical tools and modern data platforms, and can deliver meaningful analysis in a charity context.  Equally important, we’re looking for someone who has good communications skills, and will enjoy building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation (often non-technical). We’re looking for someone who can own the insight process, from understanding and scoping requirements, sourcing, prepping and analysing data, presenting to stakeholders and working through how the insight provided can inform decisions and improve our work.

The role is part of a small and busy Data & Insight Team and the post holder will be required to get stuck in on a range of activities that support and underpin our insight programme. This could be, working on marketing data selections, maintaining/developing our data warehouse, providing data protection support, or overseeing CRM processes. We’re looking for someone with a broad background in data and analysis, and who enjoys working within an environment with significant variety.

Internal and External Relationships:

Close working relationships within the Directorate, with fundraising colleagues (across Individual Giving, Philanthropy and Business Development) and with our Digital and Supporter Care teams.

Working on key BI projects outside across the wider organisation, with senior leaders across Finance, Programmes and Impact, Innovation and Influence.  

Person Specification:

- Lead the analysis, reporting and business intelligence function, within the Data and Insight Team.

- Develop and maintain data assets that support key decisions.

- Forge and maintain strong working relationships with key leads across the Organisation, particularly within the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Directorate.

Job Summary

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

** PLEASE NOTE: The advert as originally posted gave the hours per week as 35 (full time). The role has recently been amended and is now for 28 hours per week. As such the actual salary for this role is now £19,920 (£24,900 pro-rata). **

Job Purpose

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day duties:

· Facilitate carers drop-ins in venues across Salford, including but not limited to hospital sites (both on wards and public areas), community venues (such as Gateways) and high footfall locations.

· Provide one-off, solution-focussed appointments to address the immediate needs of carers identified in the community or at the point of referral.

· Create networking opportunities throughout all wards of Salford to publicise the service and build/ maintain relevant partnerships.

· Complete Statutory Carers Assessments.

· To be able to travel to various locations in Salford, at times multiple locations per day – often carrying service promotional materials. Salford is a large city covering 37 sq. miles.

Weekly/ monthly duties:

· To work alongside student social workers on placement, providing mentoring, guidance, and shadowing opportunities as appropriate.

· Create and run exciting events and support groups for carers, organisations and stakeholders to attend.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at carers, to communicate the support and opportunities available from the service.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at community groups, educational bodies and organisations to raise awareness of how to identify and support carers, and to increase the visibility of the service.

· Develop ways to identify carers across Salford and let them know about support available to them and their needs.

· Invite Carers to be involved with the service and help us to coproduce/ codesign our service offer.

· Get to know Salford’s diverse communities and organisations, providing culturally appropriate information and support.

· Promote Carers Rights to carers, Salford’s communities and relevant organisations.

· Maintain a clear record of work completed by note taking and recording on our recording system.

· To meet regularly with line manager for supervision.

The post-holder will be required to undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by Management and Senior Management Team, which will usually be commensurate with the skills and experience of the post-holder.

Every woman deserves to feel safe where she lives — especially at night.

Our Camden Women’s Complex Needs Services provide accommodation and support for women who have experienced homelessness, trauma, Violence Against Women and Girls, and multiple disadvantage. Many of the women we support have lived through unsafe relationships, instability, exclusion, and services that have not always felt safe, consistent or trustworthy. This role is about helping to change that.

As a Night Concierge, you will be a calm, steady and reassuring presence in the service overnight, helping to create an environment where women can rest, recover and feel secure in their accommodation. You will be the first point of contact during the night, responding to residents with warmth, respect and clear boundaries, while helping to maintain the safety, dignity and stability of the building.

Your night to night work will include managing access to the service, carrying out regular building checks, responding to incidents or emergencies, reporting repairs or safety concerns, and escalating risks where needed. You will also support women with immediate practical or wellbeing needs overnight, using active listening, de-escalation skills and a trauma-informed approach to respond calmly and proportionately when someone is distressed, anxious or in crisis.

This is not a full casework role, but your work will make a real difference to the women living in the service. The way you record concerns, share information and provide clear handovers will help the wider team respond to risk, maintain continuity of support and ensure women continue to feel safe, respected and held. You will also be joining SHP at an exciting time, with access to training, reflective practice and development opportunities to support your confidence, learning and longer term career progression.

We are ideally looking for one person who can work all three required nights (Saturday, Sunday and Monday 8pm-8:30am) but we would be open to considering a job share for the right candidates. 

**This role is open to women only. This is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the service and the needs of the women we support.

About you:

• You understand why women-only, trauma-informed and gender-informed services matter, and you bring empathy, steadiness and respect to your work with women who may have experienced homelessness, domestic abuse, exploitation, trauma or other forms of harm.
• You are calm, alert and confident when working overnight, including when responding to distress, conflict, incidents or emergencies. You know how to hold boundaries without becoming cold or punitive.
• You communicate clearly and respectfully, with good listening and de-escalation skills, and you can build professional relationships that help residents feel safe while maintaining the expectations of the service.
• You can work independently, use sound judgement and know when to act, monitor or escalate concerns, including safeguarding, health and safety, building security or welfare concerns.
• You are organised and reliable, with the written and IT skills needed to record incidents, resident contact, actions taken and handover information clearly, accurately and in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements.

Main Purposes of the Post

To provide proactive and effective support to the Chief Executive Officer and Strategic Leads in the delivery of Salford CVS’s strategic work, ensuring the smooth running of strategic meetings, forums and events.
