Data Entry Operator - 6 Month Contract

Location: London - near Russell Square
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week, with 1-3 days in the office
Contract: 6 months - September 2026 to February 2027
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Rate: £150-£160 per day via umbrella company

The Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Operator to join a professional services organisation on an initial six-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the business during the transition from its existing Professional Services Automation (PSA) system to a new platform. You will play a key role in ensuring large volumes of project and operational data are accurately entered, maintained, checked and prepared for migration.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with PSA systems and databases, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter data into project management systems and databases.
  • Review data regularly, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity and security of all information.
  • Monitor and record incoming data and source documentation.
  • Compile, sort and verify information before entering it into systems.
  • Monitor a shared mailbox, responding to queries or escalating where required.
  • Respond to data-related queries from internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to obtain missing or incomplete project information.
  • Ensure all data-entry and project deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the wider team throughout the transition from the existing PSA system to the new platform.

Systems & Technology

You will work with a range of systems, including:

  • Kantata - Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform
  • Salesforce
  • Xero
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Teams

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates who have specific experience working with PSA systems and databases.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator, Data Administrator or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience using PSA systems/databases, such as Kantata, Salesforce, FinancialForce, OpenAir, Scoro, BigTime, Rocketlane or Polaris.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Experience working within Professional Services, such as consultancy, banking, law or accounting, would be highly desirable.
  • A strong command of written and spoken English.

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced data professional to join a business at an important stage of PSA system transition and data migration.

You will gain exposure to a significant systems change project while working with a range of stakeholders across different locations and time zones.

Please note: Due to the September start date, we are only considering candidates who are immediately available or have a notice period of two weeks or less.

If you have strong PSA/database experience and are available to start in September, we'd love to hear from you!
