We are looking for a confident and influential leader with the presence and credibility to inspire supporters, stakeholders and partners, whether speaking at conferences, fundraising events or representing the charity nationally. Experience within a rare disease, neurological condition, disability, health or patient advocacy organisation would be highly advantageous, with direct rare disease experience particularly welcomed.

Redemption Roasters is a social business on a mission to reduce reoffending through coffee. To achieve this, they deliver barista training both in-custody and in the community, with direct routes into employment in their 12 London coffee shops and roastery. Programme participants are then matched with a caseworker to support their transition from the training room into work. To date they have directly hired over 100 participants and their current known reoffending rate for employed participants is 0%. Redemption Roasters is currently seeking a Head of Impact to lead their work to reduce reoffending. The role is responsible for the company’s social mission, identifying effective and financially sustainable ways to deepen their impact through both their social enterprise and the Redemption Roasters Foundation. The Head of Impact will oversee training and employment support for programme participants in custody and in the community, whilst shaping the strategy for the Impact Department, ensuring programmes are well-run, measurable and financially disciplined. A key part of the role is strong financial leadership - managing budgets, securing funding, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Redemption's impact work. The role would suit an experienced third sector leader with a strong track record in programme delivery and fundraising, and a passion for enabling people to succeed.

We are looking for a Community Organiser, based in Manchester, to work with us on a short-term, freelance basis to organise with people in debt.

The Role

• Review, enhance and document key financial processes and controls, including:
  • Reconciliation procedures for key balance sheet accounts

As Youth Advocacy Lead, you will develop and deliver GMYN’s new We Rise project, working alongside care-experienced and separated young people to transform housing and accommodation across Greater Manchester. 

This role is about more than delivering a project. It is an opportunity to help change not just young people's lives but how an organisation listens to them. We are looking for an advocate who believes young people already have the answers; they simply need adults and organisations willing to listen, share power and act. 

The role will combine direct work with young people, advocacy practice, organisational development and systems change. You will introduce and embed a self-advocacy approach across GMYN, supporting young people to understand their rights, build confidence and influence the decisions affecting their lives. 

Alongside this, you will support GMYN colleagues to develop the skills and confidence to make advocacy part of everyday practice; not something that only happens when things go wrong. Working across the organisation, you will help us move from supporting young people for them to achieving change with them. 

You will support young people to lead social action projects, distribute over grants through the We Rise Challenge Fund, influence regional housing reform, develop the creative projects and become the next generation of youth leaders across Greater Manchester.

• Adamson Road (NW3) - Adamson Road is a 24-hour supported living service that provides a safe and supportive environment for 21 single homeless adults aged 25 and over with mental health support needs. Our aim is to empower residents to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to successfully sustain their tenancy and thrive within the community. 
   
• Court Gardens / BarnSbury Road (NW7) - Court Gardens and Barnsbury Road are high-needs supported accommodation services commissioned by Islington Council. Court Gardens provides accommodation and support for up to 12 adult men, while Barnsbury Road supports up to 21 adults in mixed-gender accommodation. The primary support need across both services is mental health, although many clients also experience additional challenges, including substance misuse and physical health conditions. Both services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing round-the-clock support to promote wellbeing, support recovery, and help clients develop the skills required to live independently.

A role as a Duty Worker is a great opportunity to develop your skills in supporting service users with multiple or complex needs including in substance use and mental health. Our aim is to support people who have recently been sleeping rough, or who may be experiencing long term homelessness and work with them to develop the skills, networks and confidence to live independently in the community. 

In these roles you will jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and provide basic support and advice to clients.

We’re looking for a skilled and innovative individual to lead one of our pioneering Therapeutic Hubs, developed in partnership with a local church. This role sits at the front line of responding to the growing mental and emotional health needs of children, young people and families, offering high-quality therapeutic support to intervene early and prevent crisis.

As Head of Service for the Hub, you will provide strong clinical leadership, delivering targeted therapeutic support for complex cases while overseeing referrals and therapeutic pathways within the Hub. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team of volunteer counsellors, trainees and therapeutic coaches, modelling trauma‑informed, relational practice shaped by PACE values and reflective supervision.

Alongside direct delivery, you will play a key role in developing the Hub’s reach and effectiveness, working collaboratively with TLG, Emmanuel Church London (the Greenwich Hub partnering church) and local referrers. Safeguarding, quality and professional excellence are central to the role, with responsibility for ensuring the Hub is a safe, welcoming and effective space for children and families from diverse backgrounds to find healing and hope.

Due to the pioneering nature of this role, its scope may initially feel broad, as a key focus in the Hub’s early stages will be on shaping and developing the service with the church and central TLG team. TLG has a clear and realistic understanding of time and capacity, allowing the role to grow at a manageable and sustainable pace. As the Hub becomes more established, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the team to refine and focus the role in line with emerging needs and capacity. About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Kentown Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice. We are based within the Royal Courts of Justice, the Central London Family Court and community sites across London, where we deliver local Citizens Advice services.

This post is a new role within RCJ Advice and forms part of the Improving Access to Justice for Domestic Abuse Survivors project. The three-year project aims to improve access to legal advice and support for domestic abuse survivors living in areas where legal aid services are limited.

The project will strengthen referral pathways, increase awareness of legal remedies and build sustainable links between domestic abuse organisations, frontline professionals and legal providers to ensure survivors can access appropriate legal support.

During the first year, the postholder will likely focus on developing the project in Suffolk. This will include mapping existing services, building relationships with domestic abuse organisations and frontline professionals, developing referral pathways and strengthening links with local legal providers.

In years two and three, the postholder will move the focus of the project to new legal aid deserts in England (we have a similar role in Wales) identified during the course of the project, developing new local networks, referral pathways and partnerships to improve access to legal advice and support for domestic abuse survivors in those areas.

Alongside this project development work, the postholder will provide specialist family law advice and support to domestic abuse survivors, including advice on protective remedies such as Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders and other family law matters including Domestic Abuse Protection Orders (DAPOs). This will include providing advice through appointments, telephone and email advice, and supporting survivors with CourtNav applications.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience of family law and domestic abuse work. They will have strong legal skills, experience of developing partnerships or services, and the ability to build trusted relationships with survivors, professionals and community organisations.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues across RCJ Advice, including the FLOWS team and Family team, sharing learning and contributing to wider organisational work supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

The role will require flexibility to travel across England, including occasional overnight stays, to support delivery of the service, partnership development and engagement activities.

About the role:

This is an ideal post for someone with experience and interest in bereavement work, looking to join a forward thinking, new service. This is also a great chance to be working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield and be part of a prison services team in Advance.

Using a trauma informed approached, the Loss & Bereavement Specialist will conduct a person-centred assessment to understand the extent of the client’s emotional needs and the impact of loss due to imprisonment or contact with the criminal justice system whilst also identifying practical and specialist needs. They will work with women to develop a support plan, ensuring they are equipped with information and knowledge about how to navigate possible changes in circumstances related to her children’s care and offer crisis intervention and support during acute phases of loss/bereavement.

The Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker will liaise with the Prison Healthcare team, OMU, visits team and the Family Support Officer to facilitate interactions between women and their children/family members, particularly considering support is in place after visits and that the women’s emotional needs are met in custody and community via our Women’s centres.

The Specialist Worker will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women. They will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential.

About You:

To be successful as the Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker you will need the below experience and skills:

• Experience of working with bereaved individuals and providing grief counselling including knowledge of various therapeutic modalities relevant to grief counselling
• Comprehensive understanding of the grieving process and experience of working with bereaved and loss as well as knowledge of traumatic and complex grief/loss
• An understanding of violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system
• Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of vulnerable people in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons
• Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines
