The Research & Partnerships Directorate is a fast paced, collaborative team committed to achieving Alzheimer’s Research UK’s vision. The Directorate has responsibility for delivering on the charity’s principal remit: funding world-class research to ultimately defeat dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK funds dementia research through a large portfolio of investigator-led grant awards, research fellowships and strategic initiatives within the UK and increasingly internationally.
Working closely with the Evidence Manager, you’ll help shape how Alzheimer’s Research UK understands, evidences, and tells the story of the impact of the research we fund. You’ll lead on collating, cleaning and analysing impact data from a range of sources, turning it into compelling insights that support external reporting, fundraising and internal decision-making. You’ll work across the organisation (including Communications and Philanthropy) and with external partners to strengthen our approach to impact assessment, helping to position ARUK as a leader in the field. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting evidence to real-world change.

Key Responsibilities:
Research impact assessment, analysis & dissemination
· Lead the day-to-day collation and analysis of research impact across ARUK’s funded portfolio.
o Collate, clean and maintain impact data (e.g. researcher reports, publications and online sources such as Dimensions) to enable consistent, high-quality reporting.
o Analyse and synthesise findings into clear, decision-ready insights, supported by visualisations and (where appropriate) dashboards.
o Turn impact evidence into engaging content (e.g. case studies, summaries and graphics briefs) and partner with the Communications Team to make it ready for internal and external use.
· Own the day-to-day development of the Impact Hub—our internal repository of research impact—spotting standout examples of progress (e.g. career development, collaborations, guideline influence) enabled by sustained ARUK funding and shaping them into strong case studies.
· Partner with fundraising teams to understand their evidence needs and identify new opportunities to bring research impact to life for supporters.
· Help improve and embed reporting processes that strengthen how we evaluate and communicate the impact of ARUK-funded research.
Data analysis, Evidence & Evaluation
· Provide responsive data collection, analysis and reporting support across the Research & Partnerships Directorate and wider organisation, working closely with the Evidence Manager.
o Examples include: portfolio trends, geographic spread, career outcomes and collaboration mapping.
· Support the Evidence Manager to deliver ARUK’s Strategic Performance Measurement Framework—tracking and reporting KPIs for senior leadership and trustees.
· Continuously improve systems and workflows, streamlining data handling and building reusable templates and dashboards (e.g. automation in Excel/Power Query, Power BI data models, standard operating procedures).
External ambassador for research impact
· Build expertise in research impact assessment by engaging with organisations such as the AMRC and attending relevant workshops and meetings.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, in particular ARUK-funded researchers and other funding bodies, spotting opportunities to advance ARUK’s research aims.
· Represent ARUK at national and international events and conferences, helping to position the charity as an authority on research impact.
Team working and other responsibilities
· Play an active role in Team and Directorate meetings, bringing ideas, insight and constructive challenge.
· Keep colleagues and stakeholders updated on progress, insights and next steps as appropriate.
· Support internal reporting on risks, budgets and activity across the Research & Partnerships directorate.
· Provide ad hoc, additional support or resourcing for other activities across the Research & Partnerships Directorate
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Evidence Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Scientific background, educated to degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent work experience)
· Understanding of impact assessment within the context of a research funding environment
· Experience and/or knowledge of biomedical or life sciences research
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to scrutinise and interpret data
· Experience planning and operating effective and systematic data collecting and management systems
· Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and an ability to work with large datasets is essential; experience with design and data visualisation software such as Microsoft PowerBI, or programming experience, are desirable.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Role Summary
As a Senior Partnerships Manager at upReach, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the growth, quality, and impact of our partnerships at upReach.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships within the Income Generation and External Engagement team, you will take strategic ownership of a portfolio of high-value partnerships (5, 6, and 7-figure) within the Tech and STEM sectors, alongside building crucial new partnerships in the sector. Core Responsibilities
You will play a critical leadership role in advancing upReach’s mission by shaping and scaling high-impact, income-generating partnerships with top employers committed to social mobility. You will lead on delegated strategy projects, mentor and manage members of the partnerships team, and play a key role in upReach’s organisational growth and influence.
Your work will directly support the charity’s strategic partnership priorities: driving sustainable income growth, enhancing partnership impact, and increasing our brand visibility. This role offers scope to lead complex partnerships, influence internal strategy, and champion innovation in partnership delivery. While not exhaustive, your key areas of responsibility include:
Leadership of Employer Partnerships
Lead the strategic management and growth of a portfolio of high-value, multi-year partnerships in Tech and STEM, ensuring strong alignment with upReach’s mission and priorities.
Oversee the quality and consistency of partnership engagement across the team, including partnership health reviews, ensuring best-in-class stewardship and measurable partner outcomes aligned with the Partnerships team's OKRs.
Identify opportunities to deepen relationships, co-create new initiatives, and embed partners in long-term collaboration with upReach.
Working closely with upReach’s Programme teams to ensure partnerships and programmes are delivered to a high standard.
Develop and Secure New Partnerships
Proactively identify, cultivate, and convert a pipeline of four-seven figure prospective partnerships aligned with upReach’s mission and strategic goals.
Lead high-quality prospecting and relationship-building activity, targeting income-generating partnerships that also deliver high-impact opportunities for Associates.
Build strong relationships with key contacts at potential partners, including senior stakeholders within your sectors, through regular in-person and virtual meetings.
Deliver compelling, insight-driven proposals and presentations tailored to organisational priorities and demonstrating mutual value.
Strategic Development
Support the Head of Partnerships in setting partnership strategy and income targets, and contribute to organisational planning and forecasting.

Partner with Marketing & Communications to design and deliver strategic campaigns, thought leadership, and storytelling that elevate upReach’s employer partnerships nationally.

Job Purpose

About MAG
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation working to save lives and build safer futures in conflict affected and fragile contexts. We operate globally across mine action and weapons and ammunition management programmes, working in partnership with governments, donors and affected communities.
Overview
MAG is undertaking a strategic review of its UK contracted reward framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose, aligned with organisational priorities, and able to support the attraction, retention and development of key talent.
MAG has committed to a more comprehensive review in 2026. This assignment will provide external expertise to support diagnostic analysis, design of a revised framework, and development of practical, implementable recommendations.
Purpose of the assignment
The purpose of this consultancy is to review and redesign key elements of MAG’s UK contracted reward framework so that it is fair, transparent, market aware, operationally effective and financially sustainable.
The assignment will combine technical analysis, stakeholder engagement, options development and implementation planning.
Scope of work
The review will focus on UK contracted staff and will include:
• Review of reward policy and principles to assess alignment with organisational needs and future direction
• Assessment of current job family structure, grading architecture and overall framework design
• Review of job evaluation methodology, including clarity, consistency and practical application
• Analysis of salary structures, progression approaches and incremental models
