The Director of Professional Standards and Accreditation is a senior position focused on establishing, overseeing, and upholding the standards that support professional registration and the award of professional titles within the cyber security industry. The role is responsible for overseeing operations that support the Councils core duties to:
• Set and enforce the standards of competence and behaviour required of those whose name is included of the Register of Cyber Security Professionals;
• Approve qualifications, certifications and assessment routes delivered by third party providers recognised as leading to professional registration;
• Award the professional titles of Chartered, Principal, Practitioner and Associate cyber professional and associated specialist designations.
• Determine continuing competence and CPD requirements to support ongoing entitlement to remain on the Register and hold a professional title in cyber security.
• Investigate complaints related to the professional conduct, competence or fitness to practice of registered cyber security professionals and enforcement of sanctions where deficiency or failure is determined.
• Acting as the Council’s principal authority on professional assessment and accreditation, the Director will also serve as the strategic interface with Ofqual, QAA, and other qualification regulators, ensuring national recognition, consistency, and public trust across all pathways—from vocational and apprenticeship routes to higher education and chartered levels.
• The Director of professional standards & Accreditation will have direct line management responsibilities and will be accountable for the wider professionalisation team and outcomes, including the direct delivery of the Associate professional registration title.
Key Responsibilities and Functions:
• Standard Setting: Develop and implement the ethical code, process for ethical complaints and professional competency standards that registrants must meet and adhere to.
• Regulatory Oversight: Accountable for the accreditation and quality assurance of bodies licensed to provide recognised assessments or routes to registration with The Council.
• Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policy for The Council, ensuring it aligns with the organisation’s vision and statutory responsibilities.
• Compliance & Enforcement: Ensure that registrants comply with the standards and regulations applicable to them and take action when non-compliance occurs.

Essential Experience:
A minimum of ten years of significant experience operating in comparable organisations to UKCSC whether Chartered Institutes, professional associations or regulatory bodies with a public interest purpose to set and uphold professional standards, maintain a Register and award professional titles.

Understanding of professional regulation and the role it plays in providing public assurance, trust and confidence.
Strategic Thinking:

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to represent the Council with clarity and authority to boards, regulators, and external partners.

These include specialist IDVAs based within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Housing services, the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), hospitals, and GP surgeries, alongside a Housing Floating Support Worker.
About the Role
We are looking for a Duty and Triage IDVA to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for incoming referrals to Tower Hamlets SASS. As the Duty IDVA you will triage referrals into the Tower Hamlets SASS team, responding to professionals and members of the public. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with external agencies. In addition, you will risk and needs assess and safety plan with survivors of domestic abuse.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals affected by domestic and/or sexual violence, with the ability to assess and manage risk and follow effective case management processes for a diverse and vulnerable client group.
You will have a good understanding of housing, welfare, and policy related to domestic and sexual violence, alongside strong administrative and time‑management skills, including confident use of Excel.
You will be able to manage a busy caseload and demonstrate a clear understanding of the causes and impacts of domestic and sexual abuse. Flexibility in your approach and a commitment to the values of Solace Women’s Aid are essential.

Redthread is a hospital based youth work service, working alongside NHS staff and other professionals in emergency departments.

The Young Women's Worker role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread, whose primary focus is around providing youth violence interventions in a health care setting.
In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention team at St George's Hospital. You will support young women aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence/sexual violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation (criminal and sexual) or extra-familial harm. You will work with the young women in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. The Young Women's Worker provides long term, holistic support and can work with a young women for up to a year.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychological Lead to work with an innovative and friendly multidisciplinary adult team at our London Centre.
You will manage and coordinate a team of highly skilled and dedicated clinicians, in the service delivery of a range of NICE guideline recommended therapy interventions, offered to our clients, who are survivors of torture and organised violence. You will report to the Head of Clinical Services, London and operate as an integral part of the London Clinical Services Team. About the role
This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:
· To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists.
· This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision, support and advice as well as line management and guidance around risk and safeguarding to clinicians across our other centres as required.
· To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.
· Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit-based services.
· To formulate psychological treatment and management plans for survivors of torture and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of psychological interventions in line with our clinical pathway that draws on a range of evidence based models for the treatment of survivors of torture.
· Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.
About you
This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.
To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.
We also offer access to additional therapy training including NET and EMDR, as well as access to high quality clinical supervision and an opportunity to hold a small case load alongside your management practice
You will also have the opportunity to closely with the Head of Clinical Services and to attend a range of forums and working groups to support the clinical development of Freedom from Torture.

Our policy is that all appointments will be at the start of the salary range but successful candidates will have the opportunity to move up the scale over time.
