The Role
We're looking for someone to take genuine ownership of the CIC — its strategy, its funding, and its future programmes — reporting directly to our CEO. You'll line-manage our Trusts & Foundations fundraising consultant, decide which funding opportunities to pursue, and build the relationships and programmes that take the CIC beyond what we've already started.

Policy Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Policy development
· Develop and manage programmes of work on key strategic policy areas that position ARUK as a key influencer both nationally and internationally. This may include the commissioning of external evidence generation.
· Provide expertise on the relevant evidence, insight, and policy context to enable the development of new innovative policy ideas and solutions that deliver on our strategic priorities.
· Manage the development of substantial and credible policy outputs, including briefings, reports, submissions to government departments and their agencies, parliamentary committees, and other UK and international organisations as appropriate.
· Work with the Policy Communications team to ensure our policy work is disseminated to our key audiences via a range of appropriate channels to maximise our reach and impact.
· Develop and maintain mechanisms to keep abreast of the policy environment.
· Analyse, interpret and make judgements on complex project activities, delegating and managing the policy advisors to achieve set deliverables through their management of day-to-day activities. As Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns works in a matrix structure this may include managing deliverables with policy advisors across the team.
· Support the join-up between projects and across the wider team to ensure shared knowledge and the opportunity to maximise influence and impact.
Stakeholder engagement and management
· Develop and manage stakeholder engagement of key policy contacts.
· Actively promote patient and public involvement in the development and delivery of projects.
· Work with Public Affairs colleagues to strengthen existing and emerging relationships with political and other parliamentary stakeholders to maximise the impact of our policy work.
· Attend external working groups and help develop partnerships beneficial to ARUK.
· Work with other charities to ensure ARUK is playing a leadership role in shaping government medical research policy.
Research and data analysis
· Oversee the analysis of necessary data and evidence, working with other ARUK colleagues, to produce accurate, timely and insightful policy materials, briefings and media stories.

Additional Information:

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser ready to take the next step in their career and take ownership of fundraising within a growing charity.
As Worldwide Radiology's dedicated fundraising professional, you will lead our day-to-day fundraising activity across community fundraising, individual giving and trusts and foundations. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, stewarding donors and writing funding applications that help sustain and grow our work.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a proactive and strategic fundraiser with a talent for identifying opportunities, building relationships and developing a strong pipeline of future major donors.
You will be naturally curious and enjoy analysing data, researching prospects and uncovering opportunities to deepen engagement with existing supporters. The McPin Foundation is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to lead our communications function at an exciting point in our growth. This strategic, hands-on role suits someone with excellent communications skills and strategic leadership and communications experience.
McPin is a mental health research charity working to transform how research is done by putting the expertise of people with lived experience at its heart. We believe this makes research more relevant, meaningful and likely to create real-world change. Recent work has included young people’s mental health, digital mental health and virtual reality, inequalities, data sharing and artificial intelligence.
As Senior Communications Manager, you will ensure McPin’s work reaches the right audiences and has the greatest possible impact. You will lead our communications strategy, support influencing and impact work, and help colleagues translate complex research into engaging and accessible content.
You will manage and develop a communications team (two people), oversee consultants for specific projects, and work closely with colleagues, partners, people in our networks and external stakeholders. As part of the charity’s senior leadership, you will help shape organisational strategy, strengthen internal working practices and support other McPin colleagues to develop their own media and communications skills.
You will support delivery of McPin’s communications strategy, strengthen how we capture and demonstrate impact and grow our supporter base. You will bring strategic confidence, creativity and practical delivery skills, whilst working in a way that reflects McPin’s values.
Currently, most staff at the McPin Foundation are working remotely, although office spaces in London are open and available for use. This post will involve a mix of working remotely and working in London.

As our Fundraising Manager you will play a key part in the future success of Woodrow, with responsibility for ensuring we are meeting a minimum fundraising target of circa £250k. Working closely with both the centralised Fundraising team and the Woodrow team, you will help to secure critical funding required to both maintain and improve the centre, making an active contribution to business development, pipeline management and supporting our strategic objectives. The Student Voice Coordinators have strong constructive relationships with key partners across Durham University to progress this work, as well as direct links to the elected Full & Part Time Officers at the SU.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Student Voice Coordinators are responsible for the effective support of student leaders and volunteers, with a particular focus on their dedicated Faculty link.
Student Voice Coordinators:
Maintain excellent relationships with student leaders and volunteers in defined student communities across Durham University, in academic and representative roles, and in societies and student groups.
