Tall Ships Youth Trust is looking for an exceptional Director of Youth Development & Outdoor Learning to lead and grow our youth development offer at a pivotal moment in our strategy. This is a rare opportunity to combine mission, leadership and commercial thinking in a role that directly expands opportunities for young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
You will shape the journey young people take with us, from their first voyage to longer-term development, training, employment and progression opportunities.
Through a combination of outdoor learning and sail training frameworks you will engage educational and youth leaders, apprenticeship providers and sector corporate partners to establish multiple pathways for young people in the UK. You’ll identify and create networks across the UK with education and youth development clients, outdoor learning providers and national organisations that offer leadership and development opportunities for young people. Ensuring that our three-voyage programme and space in between is employed as their preferred option for the personal and social development of the young people that they are responsible for.
This includes trading income generation for groups and individuals, while also supporting fundraising by developing business in geographies and communities that align with geographically restricted funding secured by the Trust.
You will also lead Tall Ships Youth Trust on its journey towards appropriate Kite marks, accreditation and quality marks to establish our credentials in the youth development and outdoor learning sectors.

Join us at Single Homeless Project (SHP) as part of our Lewisham Vulnerable Adults Accommodation Service (LVAAS), delivering accommodation-based support across our properties in Brockley and New Cross. This is hands-on, day-to-day work alongside people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage, where no two days are the same. You’ll build real relationships with clients, supporting them to stabilise, develop life skills and move towards greater independence, while navigating the challenges that can come with housing, health and wider support needs.
As a Project Worker, you’ll be at the centre of the service; working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to coordinate support that genuinely moves people forward. Alongside your client work, you’ll play a key role in keeping the service running safely and smoothly, from maintaining a secure, welcoming environment to staying on top of health and fire safety standards across the properties.

Purpose of the Role
The Manager for Young Lives & Families and Independent Living Advice & Support provides operational leadership and coordination across both departments.
The postholder supervises project leads, ensures effective, person-centred service delivery, and maintains quality, compliance and accountability in line with AoD’s values and the Social Model of Disability.
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager supports planning, performance monitoring, budgeting and partnership development to ensure services for Disabled children, young people, adults and families are delivered to a high standard and meet contractual outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide clear, supportive day-to-day leadership across both departments, ensuring that services meet organisational and contractual requirements.
2. Supervise and support the project leads for Youth, Supported Internships (H&F and K&C), Welfare Benefits Advice and Direct Payments Support.
3. Coordinate delivery to ensure that all activities are inclusive, accessible and informed by the Social Model of Disability.
4. Oversee compliance with statutory, contractual and safeguarding requirements, maintaining accurate monitoring and quality-assurance systems.
5. Manage departmental budgets within agreed limits and contribute to forecasting, reporting and value-for-money reviews.
6. Prepare and submit funding applications and tender bids, in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, ensuring proposals are evidence-based and aligned with AoD’s strategic priorities.
7. Lead regular team meetings, supervision and appraisals; set clear objectives and support staff development.
8. Build and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, schools, colleges, employers and community organisations to strengthen outcomes.
9. Support project leads with data collection, outcome reporting and evaluation (including use of Salesforce or other systems).
10. Promote co-production and participation by Disabled people in service design, delivery and review.
11. Contribute to planning and service improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance delivery and efficiency.
12. Represent AoD positively at external meetings, networks and events, promoting our vision, values and expertise.
13. Work collaboratively with other AoD departments to encourage cross-organisational learning and shared practice.

About the role:
As the ICT Security Support Technician, you’ll support our clients cyber security operations, by assisting with the protection of digital assets, networks, and systems from cyber threats. Summary Purpose - what you will be achieving:
The Policy Directorate brings together the Academy’s policy, analysis and external affairs functions to address major science and health policy issues in the UK and internationally. The Directorate works as a single, coordinated team, focusing resources on priority areas, applying strategic approaches, generating high‑quality evidence and insights, and engaging effectively with government, stakeholders and partners to inform decision‑making and influence policy.
You will work in the Academy’s new Analysis Function, which ensures that policy development, external engagement, and rapid response work are consistently underpinned by high‑quality analytical insight. Reporting to the Head of Policy Analysis, you will lead activities in a team that spans qualitative and quantitative methods, evidence synthesis, horizon scanning, policy modelling and evaluation.
You will work within the Policy Directorate (including the Policy Development and External Affairs functions) to improve the quality and impact of policy recommendations, and ensure decision-makers can rely on timely, trusted analysis.
About the role - what you will be doing:
1. Provide expert advice and guidance in support of policy analysis
- Work with the Head of Policy Analysis to develop the Analysis Function’s strategy, operating model, standards, governance and ways of working.
- Work with Policy Managers to agree strategies for evidence gathering in support of policy priorities.
- Advise on risks, uncertainties, and the implications of emerging scientific and technological trends as they pertain to the conduct of medical sciences and the health service.
2. Lead the Policy Directorate’s ‘rapid response’ function
- Lead the process of developing rapid responses to emerging policy opportunities.
- Oversee horizon scanning activities to ensure opportunities for rapid response are identified and planned for at early stages.
- Work with the Policy Directorate to agree, manage and quality assure rapid response projects.
- Where rapid response work has been commissioned by external organisations (e.g. government, arm’s length bodies), ensure their project needs are defined and addressed.
- Ensure rapid response outputs are underpinned by high‑quality analysis.
3. Project manage analytical activities
- Lead the Academy’s policy analysis projects, determining the best methodological approaches to gathering evidence that will inform policy development and external affairs.
- Manage the design and delivery of evidence syntheses, horizon scanning, modelling, impact assessments, stakeholder insight analysis, and evaluation.
- Lead colleagues in the Analysis Function to coordinate project planning and evidence-gathering activities.
- Support the Analysis Function with commissioning external analysis where appropriate.
- Regularly report on project progress, risks and issues to the Head of Policy Analysis.
4. Build analytical partnerships and external credibility
- Engage with analytical teams across government (e.g., DHSC, NHS England, UKRI, ONS), the charity sector, research funders and national academies.
- Engage with academic experts, methodologists, research networks and data holders to strengthen analytical depth.
- Represent the Academy in analytical or evidence‑focused fora.
- Work with the External Affairs team to support external activities.
Requirements
Essential
- Extensive experience working in analytical or evidence functions.
- Expertise in a range of analytical methods, such as: evidence synthesis, horizon scanning, behavioural insights, data analysis, evaluation, modelling, or forecasting.
- Experience in ensuring analytical quality assurance and establishing or applying analytical standards.
- Proven ability to engage with and communicate complex analytical findings clearly for non‑technical system partners, including government and sector representatives.
- Experience with working at pace and managing a range of projects.
- Good understanding of the UK science, research and health policy landscape and how evidence informs decision-making.
Desirable
- Previous work in a science, health, research or public policy environment (e.g., government, national academy, think tank, research funder).
- Experience with managing budgets and commissioning research.

As Clinical Audit and Improvement Manager, you will lead GamCare’s clinical audit programme and play a key role in helping teams understand what is working well, where improvements are needed and how learning can be embedded in practice. Overview of role
The UK Casework Lead is responsible both for a personal caseload and for the supervision, output, quality and revenue performance of RLS's UK legal team of three frontline caseworkers. We are looking for a qualified solicitor who is also IAAS accredited at Supervising Senior Caseworker level, qualifying ideally to supervise both the Immigration and Asylum and the Public Law contracts. The post holder will also hold the role of authorised litigator.
The postholder will be expected to generate legal aid income at a level that covers their own gross salary cost, and to lead the team's growth in legal aid billings against an agreed annual target.

Legal aid income generation

Lead the growth of RLS's legal aid income and maintain a personal legal aid caseload sized to generate billings covering the postholder's own gross salary costs.

Design and oversee caseload allocation across the team so that caseworkers develop skills and expertise, progressing swiftly in their professional development, legal aid revenue grows in line with the strategic target of 10–15% year-on-year, while preserving quality of advice and client care.

You will work closely with the management team to coordinate Leicester South Foodbank activities, while providing day-to-day support to volunteers and staff.
This role may also involve driving our vans to collect and deliver donations and emergency food, so a full UK driving licence and willingness to drive is required.

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Programme Coordinator to lead the day-to-day delivery of our GCSE resits support programme across a portfolio of partner colleges in Birmingham.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll act as the main point of contact for students, tutors and college staff, helping to ensure programmes run smoothly, students stay engaged, and delivery meets a high standard.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating the delivery of programmes across partner colleges
- Building strong relationships with college staff, tutors and students
- Monitoring student enrolment, attendance and engagement
- Supporting tutors to deliver high-quality sessions
- Overseeing logistics such as timetabling, reporting and day-to-day problem solving
- Maintaining a regular on-site presence in colleges and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement and helping to drive strong outcomes for learners
About you

- Highly organised, responsive and able to manage multiple priorities
- A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of delivery

- Detail-oriented, with strong administrative and IT skills
Experience in programme coordination, education, youth support or partnership working would be valuable. An understanding of the further education or charity sector would be helpful, but is not essential.
Role details
- Location: Birmingham / hybrid remote, with regular travel to partner colleges (minimum three days on site per week)
- Hours: Full-time, with flexibility available
- Salary: £28,000
- Contract: Permanent
