The Head of Performance and Improvement is a new role that will lead our work to drive excellence in our grant making in England. They will play a critical role in ensuring our grant making is not only delivered, but understood, improved, and aligned with our purpose. This team helps us answer key questions about our grant making:
Are we doing what we said we would? How well are we doing it? What have we learned? And what should we do next?
The Head of Performance and Improvement ensures our grant making is evidence-informed, insight-driven, and continuously evolving.
Partnering with the Head of England Operations and working closely with senior leaders, you will ensure performance insight informs improvements to our grant making as well as feeding into decision-making, and strategic direction. It’s a role that connects information and delivery, helping us fund with confidence and learn with purpose.

Start Network has an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join our growing Resource Mobilisation team. The role supports donor engagement and income growth, working with trusts, foundations and corporate funders to build strong, long term relationships through high quality stewardship, communications and engagement.
You will support the management of existing and new donor relationships, contribute to proposals and reporting, research and cultivate new funding opportunities, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver clear and compelling donor communications. This role serves as the strategic lead on media, and external communication matters for the Pensions Board, advising and working with senior leaders to propose, develop and execute well thought through proactive and reactive communication strategies to realise delivery of our biggest priorities
It is a hybrid and matrix role. The role holder will work within the NCIs' multi-disciplinary national Communications team ensuring the Board's external communications response is resilient, best practice and well-planned while also taking a steer on initiatives and the handling of key topics from leaders within the Pensions Board. Being able to influence and engage with senior leaders from multiple expert disciplines will be absolutely essential.
Your day-to-day reporting line for key work objectives is to the Director of Strategy & Engagement in the Pensions Board. Professional development and formal line management will be undertaken by the Head of Financial Communications in the NCI's Comms team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration
* Be the primary 'lead' press contact for key stakeholders at the Pensions Board, with a particular focus on ethical and Responsible Investment.
* Lead the development of external media plans to support delivery of the Board's objectives, aligning these with customer communications and stakeholder plans being formed within the Board, working closely with the Customer Communications Manager and Engagement colleagues in Housing and Pensions
* Work as part of the Financial Communications team to manage the relationship with the Ethical Investment Advisory Group,
* Proactively initiate, build and manage complex relationships with key financial and specialist journalists who cover the work of the Pensions Board, strengthening the Board's media presence.
* Work with the digital communications team to initiate social media content for the Pensions Board, including establishing and managing the Board's LinkedIn presence.
Communications planning/proactive comms
* Initiate and sustain effective external communications planning on a monthly and annual basis. This includes setting clear objectives to enhance effectiveness, close gaps and prioritising 'media' requests across Pensions Board teams.
* Be responsible for the development and delivery of key KPIs assessing media performance, and external reach, reporting to the Pensions Board's Director of Strategy & Engagement.
* Put in place a robust comms calendar
* Shape and author messaging ahead of anticipated media interest with an aim to grow the influence of the Pensions Board.
* As a trusted and savvy communications expert, advise internal stakeholders in the development and communication of their core messaging, especially on key projects and initiatives.
* Proactively identify and realise PR opportunities for the Pensions Board aligned to the Board's delivery plan, key strategic projects and making the most of opportunities with wider Church networks.
Reactive comms
* Monitor press coverage and distribute to internal contacts
* Respond professionally to media enquiries from news organisations, including the rapid development of agreed responses to media enquiries, seeking counsel from the Head of Financial Communications to enhance the response. Staying calm under pressure will be essential.
* Field media requests for interviews, photo calls, events, and similar.
* Support with media training and photo shoots for internal stakeholders, including working with and coaching colleagues (at all levels) to enhance their confidence with media exposure.
Content and events
* Identify and organise relevant speaking, conference and award opportunities, including speech writing where needed.
* Collaborate on the production of the PB's annual review, Stewardship Report and other reports - liaising with internal stakeholders, collating and editing content, working with the design agency, and managing budget
* Initiate, manage and maintain excellent relationships with external suppliers and design agencies, including instilling clear standards for delivery.

* Knowledge of pensions and investments industry, including regulatory landscape

* Significant experience of financial communications, including authoring content, developing strategies for engagement and communications planning.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. This role is responsible for delivering Coeliac UK’s 5-year fundraising strategy to maximise return-on-investment, grow long term supporter value, and contribute to the charity’s mission.
The Head of Public Fundraising will embed and deliver comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing Coeliac UK’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.
Who are we looking for?
Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of role across multiple income streams, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income.
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.
Hybrid working

SAFE Cardiff
SAFE in the City is a pilot project that brings our award-winning SAFE project to the City of Cardiff area. Funded by the Moondance Foundation and the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund, SAFE (Sexual Awareness for Everyone) is a project that empowers young people with learning disabilities a peer-led environment. It aims to improve the knowledge of topics relating to healthy relationships and sexual health, mate crime, and internet safety. It focuses on young people aged 16-35 with additional learning needs in addition to offering support to their families.
SAFE is facilitated with peer-led workshops. The aim of this project is to empower young people with additional learning needs to lead the conversation and education around their own relationships improving knowledge and awareness of these topics for our beneficiaries of this project.
Job purpose
The successful candidate will deliver a pilot project, taking our SAFE project to Cardiff. You’ll be responsible for forging new connections and seeking opportunities in the area to deliver our SAFE workshops, encouraging the participation of volunteers wherever possible. The role will involve workshop delivery as well as volunteer recruitment and management. Working alongside an existing colleague in Gwent, you’ll develop and consolidate our workshop materials, to ensure that they’re meeting the needs of the young people participating.
Key Duties:
Deliver SAFE workshops throughout the Cardiff area, involving volunteers in delivery where possible.
Recruit, interview, induct, train and support volunteers.
Work closely with our SAFE project in Gwent to manage referrals into the project, updating on progress and plans in the process.
Develop and update workshop materials and activities to meet new challenges, in conjunction with SAFE colleagues in Gwent.
Management of the matching/placement of volunteers, risk assessing the volunteers and planned activities, and monitoring and supporting the match throughout.

Risk assess all activities, ensuring that they are regularly reviewed and amended if circumstances change.

To help us achieve that, we're looking for an organised and proactive Programme Officer (Communities & Opportunities) to coordinate our City Shapers programme and provide operational support across Kitchen Social, helping deliver meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthening communities across London.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, building relationships and making programmes happen. As the lead coordinator for City Shapers, you'll work alongside community organisations and young people to deliver social action opportunities that help young Londoners develop confidence, employability skills and a stronger connection to their communities.
Alongside leading City Shapers, you'll play an important role in supporting the operational delivery of Kitchen Social, one of London's largest holiday food programmes. You'll help coordinate partner communications, maintain programme systems and data, support reporting and financial processes, and ensure our community partners receive the information and support they need to deliver high-quality provision for children and families.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the Communities & Opportunities team to ensure our programmes run smoothly, identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen delivery and share learning. Whether you're coordinating an event, maintaining programme information, supporting community partners or analysing participation data, you'll help ensure our work is organised, effective and centred around the needs of young Londoners.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in being organised and is motivated by making a positive difference. You'll be equally comfortable building trusted relationships with community organisations, coordinating multiple priorities and using systems and data to support high-quality programme delivery.

What you'll bring
You'll have experience coordinating programmes, projects or community initiatives, building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders and managing competing priorities effectively. You'll be confident using digital systems to maintain accurate records and support reporting, while always looking for practical ways to improve how programmes are delivered. Most importantly, you'll be organised, collaborative and committed to helping young Londoners thrive.

About the Role
The resettlement team in South Yorkshire provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.
Alongside the resettlement team, the psychological therapy service team offers therapy to refugees presenting with mental health difficulties across both historical and future resettlement programmes. The service currently offers holistic psychological assessments and therapy to respond to clients referred to the service from Refugee Council and other local services working with resettled refugees.
The Children and Families Wellbeing Project was established in 2019 to respond to the needs of refugee children/young people and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties within a systemic approach. This specialist service is managed by the Refugee Council and led by the Strategic Migration partnership and is provided across Yorkshire and Humberside through a partnership of the Refugee Council and Solace.
As a Family therapist/Practitioner, the post holder will be working autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach to deliver psychosocial therapeutic work with refugee children/young people and their families in South Yorkshire.
The postholder will work closely with the Sheffield Therapeutic Service for Resettled Refugees and work with children and families at home, as well as in community and educational settings.
Contract and Hours: Fixed term, part-time, 28 hours per week.
