About the Role
As Grant-Making Officer, you will support the delivery of GiveOut's grant-making programme, helping ensure that funding reaches LGBTQI activist organisations efficiently, responsibly and in line with GiveOut's values and grant-making policies.
Reporting to the Grant-Making Manager, you will coordinate key aspects of the grant-making cycle, support grant partners throughout the grant lifecycle, and help maintain the systems, processes and relationships that underpin GiveOut's grant-making programme.
Bringing a passion for international LGBTQI human rights, you will build meaningful relationships with LGBTQI activists and organisations across the globe while developing your expertise in international grant-making.
Key Responsibilities
Grant-Making Programme Delivery
Support the delivery of GiveOut's annual grant-making programme and grant portfolio.
Coordinate the annual grant-making cycle, ensuring documentation, timelines and communications are delivered on time.
Prepare due diligence assessments, grant agreements and other grant documentation for review by the Grant-Making Manager.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date grants management records.
Grant Partner Relationships

About the Role
This role is primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with the expectation of occasional travel to other hospital sites.
This post is within the Fundraising Team at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, which is the official charity of Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Solihull Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
The purpose of the role is to help build relationships with the public and hospital staff within Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as well as with existing supporters.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medair UK team as we are seeking a part-time Head of Operations. The post holder will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Medair UK's finance, HR, IT and governance functions, ensuring robust systems, effective controls, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. They will support the Medair UK Director and Board of Trustees to ensure effective governance and management of the charity in accordance with best practice and ensure a sustainable operational platform is in place to support all Medair UK’s functions. About you
You will be a highly organised and experienced, strategic and hands-on operational leader who can provide strong oversight of finance, governance, HR, IT and office management within a growing charity. You will have significant experience in financial and operational management, with a sound understanding of charity finance, governance and regulatory compliance and UK employment law. Our Nourish programme supports schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. The evidence-based, multi-component programme helps schools to develop action plans and policies to cover the food served across the whole school day. Nourish uses a collaborative whole school approach to food involving everyone across the school community to create lasting positive change.
Job Purpose
· To promote, develop and deliver the Nourish programme in secondary schools across London
Key Tasks include:
· Recruit schools to take part in Nourish
· Complete in person food audits in schools looking across the whole school day
· Support schools to create and deliver a food improvement plan (action plan)
· Develop and deliver workshops in schools to staff, parents and students based on their action plan (incl. assemblies, consultation/feedback sessions, cooking sessions, school food standards training)
· Support schools to write a school food policy[AB1] using our policy template
