We’re seeking a senior media and PR manager (fundraising and brand) to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team at an exciting time of growth for the charity.

The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for researching prospects, developing applications and managing deadlines to maintain and develop a strong portfolio of small and medium trust and foundation supporters, securing sustainable income for all aspects of The Brain Tumour Charity’s work in line with fundraising priorities. About the role
As the Senior Programme Development Specialist, you will manage a pipeline of institutional funding opportunities and be responsible for securing a significant proportion of CIUK’s restricted income. You will work in partnership with CARE country offices, national and international partners, finance colleagues, and technical advisory teams to identify, scope, bid for and secure new funding for programmes through both grant and commercial contract modalities. You will deliver a high-quality bidding process, submitting applications to funders such as FCDO, DEC, START Fund, Education Cannot Wait, Jersey Overseas Aid Committee, and Power of Nutrition. You will build learning from existing CARE programmes into bid design and design programmes in line with CARE policies and standards, as well as donor standards.
About you
You are a passionate and experienced funding specialist, with a proven track record in fundraising from key UK donors – including solid experience of commercial bidding and FCDO frameworks, trusts and foundations and corporate donors. You will have the ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams during proposal preparation, working with partners and colleagues in multiple locations. You have experience in and very good understanding of programme design and meeting institutional and corporate donor requirements. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will support the delivery of The Brain Tumour Charity’s growing corporate partnerships strategy, steward partners and generate income that advances our mission.
Working closely with the New Business Corporate Partnership Manager, the post holder will help with effective account management, engage senior stakeholders and support high-quality partner experiences with measurable impact.
They will also contribute ideas and improvements that support the charity’s fast-paced and evolving fundraising needs.
Please note that our office is currently based in Fleet; however, we will be relocating to Woking from 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this future change in location.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and New Business Corporate Partnerships Manager to build a strong and sustainable corporate pipeline.
Support employee engagement and fundraising activity with corporate partners, ensuring opportunities are delivered effectively and aligned with partner objectives.
Lead on a portfolio of small to medium sized corporate partners, providing high-quality stewardship relationship management and partner experience to support long-term engagement.
Maintain accurate records of partnership activity, pipeline progress and key contact information on Salesforce to support effective relationship management.
Support the preparation of tailored approaches, pitch materials and supporting documents for prospective partners, based on their charitable giving criteria and business priorities.
Support the planning and securing of meetings with new business prospects, helping to convert opportunities into sustainable partnerships.
Contribute to cross-team projects and provide wider support to the New Business Corporate Manager and team as required.

Purpose of the Role
The role of the Philanthropy Officer is to manage the gift administration and stewardship of supporters, lead on the stewardship of regular and individual givers, and support the Philanthropy Manager to grow the Individual Giving income stream for Chance to Shine.
