South East London Mind is looking for a Carers Programme Lead and Facilitator to lead an exciting new programme supporting unpaid carers in Southwark. This role will create opportunities for carers to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience while navigating the challenges of supporting a loved one with mental health needs.

This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring carers have access to the support, knowledge and community they need to thrive. As the Carers Programme Lead, you will mobilise, coordinate and facilitate a programme that combines structured learning, peer support and reflective spaces, helping carers feel better equipped, more connected and less alone. This will include developing and refining a structured learning programme and continuously building on carers’ feedback.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and facilitating a weekly programme for unpaid carers, combining a structured six-week course with ongoing peer support and reflection sessions.
• Creating welcoming, supportive spaces where carers can share experiences, build resilience and prioritise their own wellbeing.
• Developing practical workshops, resources and learning opportunities that help carers navigate the challenges of caring.
• Building relationships with Community Mental Health Teams, carers organisations and community partners to support referrals and engagement.
• Managing programme administration, monitoring and reporting, while supervising sessional staff with lived experience.
• Promoting the programme through outreach, partnership working and community engagement activities.

We would particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience as a mental health carer, or those who have supported family members, friends or loved ones experiencing mental health challenges.The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating groups, alongside experience developing structured programmes and the ability to build relationships with partner organisations and other stakeholders.

THE ROLE

Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, ambitious charity where you'll have genuine ownership of a portfolio of corporate partners and trust funders while helping to shape Ocean Generation's fundraising strategy and long-term growth.

Account Management & Stewardship

• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners and selected trusts and foundations, delivering excellent relationship management, stewardship and reporting.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality partnership reports, impact updates and funding reports that demonstrate the value of support and strengthen long-term relationships.
• Act as the Funding Relationship Lead for their portfolio, ensuring reporting commitments, stewardship activity and internal coordination are managed throughout the life of each partnership or grant.
• Identify opportunities to renew, grow and enhance existing partnerships, maximising income and engagement.
• Maintain accurate partnership activity, reporting deadlines and pipeline information within Salesforce, monitor partnership performance, manage the fundraising pipeline, and contribute to income forecasting and pipeline reporting.
• In addition to partnership management responsibilities, manage community fundraising activities and events when required, contributing to the wider fundraising programme.

Business Development & Income Generation

• Develop and secure new corporate partnerships by identifying, cultivating and converting prospective supporters into long-term partners.
• Prepare compelling funding proposals, partnership pitches and applications tailored to corporate and trust funding opportunities.
• Develop attractive ESG partnership opportunities and other funding propositions that align with Ocean Generation's mission and strategic priorities.
• Work closely with the Co-Executive Director (Partnerships) and Philanthropy Lead to identify, develop and secure strategic fundraising opportunities.

Partnership Activation & Organisational Collaboration

• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to develop engaging partnership opportunities and ensure the successful delivery of partner benefits.
• Work with the Communications team to create partnership resources, campaigns, newsletters and impact content/case studies that strengthen engagement and increase visibility.
• Ensure fundraising activity complies with charity regulations, fundraising best practice, and Ocean Generation's values and ethical standards.
• Contribute as a proactive member of a small, agile team, supporting colleagues and identifying opportunities to maximise the impact and profile of fundraising activity.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, business development/sales or account management.
• Proven ability to secure, manage and grow fundraising partnerships to achieve income targets.
• Excellent relationship management, communication and proposal writing skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with experience using a CRM and managing multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded, proactive and able to work independently within a small team.
• Confident interpreting budgets and fundraising performance data.

Desirable

• Some experience working with trusts and foundations and/or major donors.
• Knowledge of ESG, CSR or corporate fundraising partnerships.
• Experience using a fundraising CRM such as Salesforce, Beacon or Raiser's Edge.
• An interest in environmental or conservation issues and a commitment to Ocean Generation's mission.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.

• Salary of £30,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• A permanent role, full-time (37.5 hours per week), with consideration given to candidates seeking a part-time equivalent over four days.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. You will help identify and cultivate new opportunities across priority markets, including the USA, Switzerland and other emerging regions.

Formula 1 remains our flagship global partner, and this role will support the activation and maximisation of this and other high-profile relationships to drive fundraising and brand visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver partnerships that contribute to Race Against Dementia’s fundraising targets and strategic objectives.
• Support the management of key partnership accounts, acting as a point of contact for partners and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
• Develop tailored partnership plans, ensuring alignment with partner objectives and demonstrating the impact of their support.
• Contribute to new business development by researching, identifying, and engaging prospective partners, including internationally.
• Support international fundraising activity by helping develop opportunities in priority global markets and assisting with partner engagement across different regions.
• Prepare high-quality partnership proposals and presentations, clearly communicating value, impact, and alignment with funder priorities.

Supporting Events

Carry out any other duties as required by the Strategic Partnerships Lead, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional, national and international meetings/events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of international, national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working with individuals, community groups and clubs you will build meaningful relationships and deliver excellent supporter experiences, increasing engagement and maximising fundraising income. You will be responsible for individidual gifts up to the value of £5,000 and integral to our fundraising strategy, you will play a key role in creating and developing new public fundraising initiatives from the ground up, helping to grow income and inspire support. 

Community & Individual fundraising

• Build and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers and supporters, providing excellent stewardship and support throughout their fundraising journey. 
• Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities, with a key focus on engaging our warm and proactive community of families and volunteers.
• Develop and grow our successful ‘Talks’ series, working with our nationwide volunteer speaker network to engage sailing clubs across the UK, raising awareness of our work and encouraging long-term support.

Individual giving

• Provide excellent supporter care through written and verbal communication throughout the year as needed. 
• Maintaining accurate records of donations made directly and from third-party platforms and ensure all donors and fundraisers are thanked in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Identifying opportunities within our individual donors and engaged community to retain and grow loyalty.
• Manage and develop relationships with monthly donors, working to develop stewardship journeys that engage and encourage long-term commitment and growth from this income stream. Identify growth opportunities and potential to turn one-off donors into regular supporters.

Team responsibilities 

• Where needed, use your creativity to work with the Communication team to develop collateral related to community and individual fundraising. 
• Participate in regular meetings with wider team to inform and update on progress, ensuring other departments know and can celebrate funding successes.
• Support the wider Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust teams across the year during busy periods, as required.

Job Description

Key duties

• Respond to physiotherapy referrals
• Carry out assessments, provide advice and recommend interventions to manage the symptoms in patients with M.E./C.F.S. and related conditions, working with a whole person approach, and involving family/carers where appropriate
• Provide written reports for the person with M.E. and others involved in their care with consent of the patient
• Participate in clinical team meetings at least once a quarter (approximately 1 hour)
• Participate in quarterly physiotherapy team meetings (approximately 1 hour)

Key Tasks 

• Arrange and undertake consultations in the most appropriate manner for the patient - remotely by either telephone, Zoom or email.
• Record consultation details (date, length of consultation, charge) on Action for M.E.’s internal tracker for invoicing purposes
• Consider choices and in collaboration with the person with M.E., agree attainable and realistic goals, however small, during assessment
• Offer a selection of gentle progressive interventions to facilitate an improvement in their quality of life
• Offer follow-up consultations with patients by phone, Zoom or email
• Raise any safeguarding concerns to appropriate colleagues.

Working Practices  

• Seek to reduce fear associated with the illness and to create an environment for healing
• Offer clear and consistent information and advice to people with M.E. and their family/carers
• Work within Action for M.E. policies ensuring privacy and dignity.

Person Specification

Qualifications/Key requirements

• Must be registered HCPC
• Must be registered with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or other professional body which can provide PLI
• Up to date professional indemnity insurance
• Safeguarding training to Level 3
• Eligible to work in the UK

Experience and Knowledge

May be varied but would typically include:

• Several years of post-graduate work experience in different aspects of the profession
• Familiarity with the NICE Guideline for the management of M.E. (2021)
• Experience in the management of long-term conditions
• Experience in the management of chronic pain and its impact on the quality of life
• Working in a multi-disciplinary team

Skills and Behaviours

• Excellent communication skills, in both active listening and careful word usage
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to quickly learn relevant bespoke software systems

Attitudes

About Working Well Trust 

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting an IPS Operations Manager to support the delivery and development of our IPS services across London. The postholder will manage two IPS service sites from the following areas: Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking and Dagenham, and Enfield. The final allocation of sites will be discussed with the successful candidate and agreed based on service needs, experience and working arrangements. 

What you’ll be doing 

If you were working with us, you would provide operational leadership across two of our IPS services. These sites will be agreed with you based on service needs, your experience and working arrangements.

You would support Team Leads and frontline teams to deliver high-quality IPS services that are client-led, evidence-based and aligned with contractual outcomes. You would help ensure services run smoothly day to day, while also supporting service development, quality improvement and strong performance.

You would:

• Provide leadership oversight across two IPS service sites, supporting Team Leads with operational delivery, planning and problem solving.
• Ensure services meet contractual outcomes, delivery timeframes and quality standards.
• Support Team Leads to manage performance, caseloads, attendance, safeguarding, risk and service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS partners, funders, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
• Lead on IPS fidelity across the services, supporting teams to deliver high-fidelity IPS and develop quality improvement plans.
• Use data, audits, client feedback and service reviews to identify what is working well and where improvements are needed.
• Complete contract monitoring requirements, represent WWT at contract performance meetings and attend quarterly service review meetings with IPS Grow.
• Work with NHS colleagues to support integration, clinical co-location, steering groups, data flow and appropriate escalation of clinical risks or safeguarding concerns.
• Support staff wellbeing by ensuring regular wellbeing check-ins and welfare conversations are embedded in supervision and one-to-one meetings.
• Work with HR and Team Leads to recruit, onboard, train and retain Team Leads, Employment Specialists and support staff.
• Support budget holders and work with the Finance Manager to ensure budgets are managed effectively.
• Work with other Operations Managers, the Operations Director and Head Office colleagues to develop consistent systems, improve services and support wider organisational priorities.

You would also provide direct supervision to project leads and help build a positive learning culture where staff feel supported, clear about expectations and able to develop their skills.

What you’ll need 

We are looking for someone with strong operational leadership experience and a good understanding of IPS, employment support or mental health services.

You will need to bring:

• Experience of IPS or equivalent team leadership.
• Experience of managing teams, performance and service delivery.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a complex and demanding workload.
• Experience of monitoring, contract reporting and using data to support service planning.
• The ability to build positive relationships with funders, NHS partners, community organisations, clients and staff.
• Confidence supporting Team Leads with performance, quality, safeguarding, risk, wellbeing and day-to-day operational issues.
• Good writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a range of audiences.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and online systems.
• A strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of legislation relevant to employment, including the Equality Act.
• The ability to work across boroughs and provide leadership in more than one service location.
• Tact, diplomacy, discretion and the ability to build rapport with different people.

About the Role

This is not your typical management role.

• Work with Foundation Manager and Project Officers in regions to develop potential new projects and new partners
