About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced welfare benefits advisor with a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting vulnerable people.
This post is providing maternity cover until 31 December 2026 – or until the early return of the substantive postholder.
With around 4 in 10 beneficiaries, we support seeking help with financial difficulties, this is a pivotal role for Kidney Care UK.
You will be working remotely providing income maximisation and energy advice and support for kidney patients in the UK, supporting them to achieve better financial security. Working closely with Patient Support & Advocacy Officers, provide informed and compassionate support to provide excellent outcomes for our beneficiaries.
Our external partners – British Gas Energy Trust have committed to fund our Money and Energy Service until March 2027. We anticipate confirmation by December 2026 whether funding will be extended beyond March 2027.

The Money & Energy Advice Service (MEAS) provides information and support for welfare benefits and income maximisation and promotes awareness of efficient energy use. The service was established in 2023 with the support of British Gas Energy Trust and is embedded as a valued element of the many ways Kidney Care UK supports people affected by kidney failure.

Job Summary for Senior Stories Officer
The Senior Stories Officer is responsible for sourcing, developing and sharing powerful lived‑experience stories that bring Bowel Cancer UK’s mission and impact to life. The role leads the ethical gathering, crafting and distribution of case studies across channels including media, digital, social media, fundraising materials, campaigns, partnerships, and internal communications.
The postholder will work closely with people affected by bowel cancer, ensuring their experiences are represented sensitively, accurately and in an informed way. They will also support colleagues across the charity to use stories effectively, maintaining a central story and assets bank, and safeguarding processes.

· In the absence of Therapies Co-ordinator or when needed may be required to set up new providers and associates, including due diligence checks which are also in line with new supplier requirements for financial administration.
· Support with the collection of management information and service user client outcomes and satisfaction data and insights.
· Collaborate on initiatives and projects that advance Ben’s charitable mission and objectives.
· Ensure any associated targets, SLA’s are worked towards and achieved and any underperformance is escalated accordingly.
· There may be times when the Therapies Caseworker may be required to support additional duties or projects. This will be discussed with them and agreed with their line manager.
Whilst this role does not specifically require the individual in post to be a clinician, this would be a desirable and enable the postholder to deliver internal therapeutic support for specific cases, providing telephone / virtual counselling sessions to identified individuals. In this instance, the postholder would also be required to maintain their professional registrations and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) as applicable, this will be supported by the organisation also.

About This Job
This is an exciting administration role with Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) responsible for the administrative support to the Northern Ireland branch of ACCT UK.
We are looking for a professional to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team. This role is key to ensuring The Northern Ireland branch runs smoothly and efficiently, following required process and procedure.
Essential Skills
· Understanding of the Cadet Forces
· Understanding of the branch’s Devolved Nation Area (Northern Ireland)
· Competent with MS Office
· Excellent written English
· Able to work under pressure
Availability
· Able to attend appropriate in-person events and activities anywhere in the Branch Area (branch, civic, cadet etc)
· Attend the weekly on-line team briefing
· Attend at least one national charity briefing day per year

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools.
