About the role 

The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of services,  projects, events and member communications across the organisation. Working closely with the  Head of Services and colleagues across teams, the postholder will provide high-quality  administrative, project and operational support, helping to ensure services run efficiently and  members receive excellent support and communication. 

This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, strong  communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Services Administration 

• Provide administrative support for the planning, delivery and evaluation of webinars and  online events.

• Support the production and distribution of Fragile Links, including content coordination,  proofreading, scheduling and publication processes. 

• Assist the Head of Services with the administration and project management of  conferences, events and service-related projects. 

• Maintain accurate project records, databases and documentation. 

• Updating information on the website when requested 

• Maintaining records and information on research requests 

Project Administration 

• Provide administrative support for partnership projects 

• Maintain accurate participant and project records in line with data protection  requirements. 

• Coordinate member communications relating to projects and programmes.

• Monitor participation, gather feedback and support project reporting. 

Membership and Member Support 

• Support colleagues with membership communications and messaging when required. • Assist with member enquiries and administrative requests. 

• Ensure member records are maintained accurately and confidentially. 

Volunteering and support groups

• Support the Head of Services managing volunteer requests and meetings

• Run induction meetings for new volunteers

• Manage and promote the support group meetings across the platforms

Cross-Team Administration and Support 

• Provide customer service support for the online shop, including responding to customer  enquiries and assisting with product updates. 

• Contribute to organisation-wide projects and initiatives as required. 

• Database administration

• Support fundraising administration tasks 

General Responsibilities 

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across all teams. 

• Maintain accurate records and databases in accordance with organisational policies and  GDPR requirements.

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience in an administrative, project support or coordinator role.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham is a thriving, dynamic community charity supporting asylum seekers, refugees and migrants across South East London. This is an exciting new role to the organisation forming a senior management team alongside the Executive Director, Casework Manager and Education and Finance Manager. This key senior position combines line management of central staff, high level fundraising, grants monitoring and compliance, development of enhanced member co-production, oversight of operational systems and management of pilot projects emerging from AFRIL’s 2027-30 strategy.

Job Purpose:

• To manage and coordinate the operations of the organisation, overseeing high level day to day operations including IT and systems, GDPR, Health and Safety, volunteer management, operational policies and procedures.

• To provide leadership and line management to the Monitoring and Operations Officer, Experts by Experience Coordinator and Community Activities Coordinator. With possible additional line of other project staff as organisational capacity requires.

• Lead the enhancement of processes and systems which support AFRIL’s frontline systems to work effectively and holistically together, providing capacity and support to project managers and leads.

• Lead the development and delivery of AFRIL’s co-production work, supporting the Experts by Experience Coordinator to amplify members' voices at all levels of the organisation.

• Supporting the Director in delivering the organisation's fundraising strategy. Writing a range of funding applications, holding key funder relationships and developing new funding relationships, including the establishment of enhanced individual, community and corporate fundraising relationships.

• Leading on the management and oversight of the grants compliance and reporting cycles, producing monitoring reports for funders with the support of the Operations and Monitoring Officer. Overseeing and developing evaluations and impact measurement systems alongside the Director.

• Assist the Director with the implementation of AFRIL’s strategy, taking a leading role in the delivery of new projects and areas of work to advance the mission and vision of the organisation.

• Supporting the Director with the development and implementation of a communications strategy, enhancing awareness of the organisation's work and impact.

• To represent AFRIL at a range of stakeholder meetings, and develop and manage partnerships to benefit AFRIL’s service users.

• To work collaboratively and dynamically in a small team, following AFRIL policies and reflecting AFRIL’s values.

To provide high quality and comprehensive helpline advice, information, practical and advocacy support relating to violence against women and girls (VAWG) perpetrated against Black and minoritised women and girls.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our programmes and partnership team and so we are looking for a Warm Welcome Space Support Coordinator (based in the East Midlands).

Working closely with the Warm Welcome Spaces Support Manager and wider team your primary responsibility will be to provide Project Coordination related to projects that are designed to support Warm Welcome Spaces, taking ownership of specific projects and tasks as required, including;

Project Coordination:

• Owns and manages parts of a project and ensures successful delivery - for example within the Warm Welcome Champions Programme or Partnership volunteering opportunities to benefit Spaces. This will include organising specific events as part of wider projects

• Develops project plans and timelines and maintains updates and progress

• Communicates clearly about a project and ensures the project is keeping to the planned timeline and outcomes, identifying any delivery challenges quickly

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The Community Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced relationship-builder to lead and grow community fundraising and challenge events activity, helping to raise vital income for The Pepper Foundation.

You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of community fundraising activity, building and developing relationships with volunteers, schools, clubs, local businesses and community groups, while also nurturing existing supporters and creating an excellent experience for everyone who engages with us. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of our community fundraising and challenge events activity, proactively identifying new opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of support and managing your portfolio to grow income and deepen engagement with The Pepper Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial

• Deliver or exceed agreed income targets across community and challenge event  fundraising activities.
• Manage agreed budgets for community fundraising activities and challenge events, monitoring income and expenditure and ensuring activity is delivered in line with agreed targets and plans.
• Ensure activities are delivered as cost-effectively as possible, monitoring expenditure and helping to maximise return on investment.
• Develop and refine fundraising products, activities and supporter experiences that put supporters at the centre of what we do and encourage long-term engagement.

• Use Donorfy, our fundraising CRM, to administer and manage fundraising activity accurately and effectively, working with the Database Volunteer as needed.
• Produce post-event evaluations and recommendations in line with agreed requirements.
• Use insight, pipeline information and performance data to review results, identify trends and recommend improvements to future activity.
• Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of key events and campaigns, making decisions within agreed plans, budgets and fundraising procedures.

• Take responsibility for health and safety in community fundraising activities, ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed and relevant fundraising and safety procedures are followed.
• Respond appropriately to unexpected incidents at community fundraising events, following agreed procedures and escalating where needed.
• Take an active role in setting up and clearing down events and community fundraising activities, including periods of standing and occasional unsocial hours.
• Arrange appropriate Pepper Foundation attendance at local community events when needed.
• Manage resources effectively, including volunteer support, to maximise reach, income and engagement.

Reporting

• Produce regular reports on pipeline, activity, outcomes, income performance and learning for the Head of Fundraising, highlighting opportunities, risks and recommendations.

About the role:

The MARAC Administrator will support the MARAC Coordinator in the administering the MARAC process. The post holder will be co-located in Brent and will be required to attend MARAC meetings in various locations as required. There will also be a requirement to attend Advance’s Head office.

The MARAC Administrator will process MARAC referrals and flag to the MARAC Coordinator any referrals that have insufficient information or may not meet the MARAC threshold. The post holder will also compile the MARAC At Risk List for approval by the MARAC Coordinator, including case details of survivors and perpetrators who will be discussed at the MARAC.

About You:

To be successful as the MARAC Administrator you will need the below experience and skills:

• An understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.

• Experience of office management and administration roles and experience of maintaining data systems and producing regular monitoring reports

• Accurate and methodical approach to dealing with data processing, filing systems, facts and figures

• Excellent literary and administrative skills including ability in information technology, data collection and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• The ability to be flexible, working as a team or independently as required to support the service and colleagues

• An ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain strong constructive working relationships

The Role

Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland (VCUKI) and Vineyard Global are looking for a dedicated Head of Fundraising to join our team and help us expand our impact through effective fundraising initiatives.

This is a remote position for someone based in the UK, with the expectation to work at a VCUKI office two days a month. The role is full-time and reports to the VCUKI National Coordinator.

This is a new position that offers an exciting opportunity to grow, develop, and shape the fundraising strategy for our national movement. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aimed at securing donations from major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporations.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland as well as Vineyard Global. They will work with movement leaders and Vineyard staff to maximise fundraising opportunities and establish long-term relationships with donors. The candidate should be a starter finisher as this is a new area of development for both VCUKI and Vineyard Global, and over time, it is anticipated that the post-holder will build a team to assist with key aspects of the role. We are looking for a graduate with a proven track record in fundraising within the nonprofit sector, especially someone who has successfully secured large donations and grants. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Casework Administrator to join the Southeast Region Office Regional Office team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. (Our region covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex).

You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support undertaking virtual telephone casework across the southeast region, working remotely with SSAFA Southeast Regional Office colleagues to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to the Southeast Regional Office. You will work closely with the Regional Casework Managers and Regional Operations Manager.

The post is home-based, lone working with support from your line manager and team colleagues. You will be required to travel for face-to-face casework in the region, predominantly along the south coast. Expenses will be paid for travel.

About the team

In this role you will be working closely with colleagues in the Southeast Region Office, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team which includes 2 Casework Managers, a Regional Operations Manager and a team of 8 Regional Casework Co-ordinators.

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. The successful candidate will have experience of using their own initiative, planning and managing their workload with minimal supervision. You should be experienced at writing descriptive reports following a recommended structure. This role requires you to be a resilient person and it would be advantageous if you understand the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Job Purpose:

Manage the on-site delivery of MSF UK’s Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising activity across Festivals and Events, ensuring high-performing, safe and professional fundraising operations that maximise income and public engagement.

Provide day-to-day management and development of Team Leaders, Fundraisers and Coordinator-level roles, driving performance through coaching, monitoring and clear accountability against targets.

About Chapter One

Chapter One is a growing charity, working to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,500 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 180 local and national businesses. The volunteer task is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
