The Salvation Army is recruiting a Trust Fundraising Manager. (Internally known as Trust Manager) This critical role will ensure that The Salvation Army maintains and increases its impactful presence as one of the top ten charities in the UK, and as a worldwide Christian Church that puts belief into action.

As a senior member of the Trust Fundraising Unit, you will be personally responsible for securing major gifts, identifying, and initiating relationships with prospective donors, developing long-term relationships and stewarding existing supporters across the UK.

You will also line manage the Fundraising Assistant role within the team.

To be successful in this role you will have;

• Secured significant funding from charitable trusts and foundations.
• Substantial experience of portfolio management. 
• Ability to develop external and internal relationships to support the development of funder proposals, reports and project visits.

Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week

£37,596 - £39,438 per annumLondon based, hybrid,  meeting the requirements below

To be eligible for the London Salary you will be required to work a minimum of 40% across each month in the Territorial Headquarters, London, SE5 8FJ

Key Responsibility: To provide administrative support across the Communities and Inclusion team.

We are seeking a Communities and Inclusion Assistant to support the Communities and Inclusion team at BES. The team works across a range of areas, including grants, membership, volunteering and education to engage with ecology in meaningful ways.

Community Groups

We support over 25 active community groups. The role will include:

Grants

Membership

We have over 8000 members. The role will include

• Administering the Membership inbox and responding to members enquiries

Teaching

• Deliver high quality sessions including theory and practical demonstrations.

Over recent years, we have been re-positioning Starlight from a wish-granting charity to a charity that supports children to experience the power of play in healthcare settings to improve their mental health and wellbeing. About the role 

The Operations Coordinator will play an important role in the smooth running of the day centre and night shelter. Working with the Operations Lead, the post holder will secure a diverse and active cohort of volunteers able to fill all the necessary shifts, ensure the building is well maintained and manage the stock of necessary provisions so that guests are adequately provided for. We particularly welcome those with lived experience of homelessness who are able to bring their ‘expertise through experience’ to the role.

Key responsibilities:

Volunteers

• Work with the Operations Lead in the recruitment, training and onboarding of our volunteers, coordinating any relevant checks as required
• Manage volunteer rotas for all our projects: ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely fashion
• Contribute to our engagement with volunteers to ensure they have the best possible experience. This includes supporting the Operations Lead in managing the volunteer advisory group and the provision of training and development of volunteers
• Ensure the volunteer CRM system is kept up to date with all aspects of volunteer data and contribute ideas and actions to improve the process
• Contribute to regular volunteer communication including volunteer newsletters
• Contribute to reports for trustees and other stakeholders on our volunteers and their contribution to the smooth running of the centre.

Premises

• Timely reporting of any damage to the property, fixtures and fittings and liaising with the local authority and repair teams
• Undertake actions as required to ensure the health and safety of the premises, guests, staff, and volunteers. This includes fire alarm tests and fire drills, emergency lighting tests, acting as a fire warden, security alarm tests, and any other health and safety aspects of the premises.

• Undertake the ordering of food, stocking of food donations, and timely communications to volunteer cooks

About the role

This role will play a vital role in supporting guests using our all year-round Day Centre and Night Shelter. You will work within a casework team working with clients on a 1:1 basis to develop and deliver individual support plans and will work in partnership with local organisations to provide a joined-up response to homelessness. Recognising homelessness is often a result of complex and multiple problems, you will use your communication and organisational skills to work with existing agencies and organisations to identify the best course of action for each individual. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness while developing your skills in communication and fundraising to support the charity's mission. In this pivotal role as Prospect Research Manager at Diabetes UK, you will lead on managing prospect research, pipeline development, and adhere to best practice across income streams with a clear strategy that focuses on sourcing prospective high value donors to fund key strategic ambitions. About the roles

We have two exciting junior level positions for people who want to build a career in policy and campaigns. You will play a vital role in promoting Deaf and Disabled people’s rights to local and national decision-makers and raising awareness of the structural inequalities facing the Deaf and Disabled community in London and the UK.

You will be eager to support DDPOs to secure policy change at local and national government levels. You will do this by analysing national and local policy developments that affect Deaf and Disabled people’s lives, gathering evidence, drafting policy papers and briefings, and coordinating DDPOs to work together to design and implement influencing strategies.

One of the two new roles will focus on our campaigns for an adequate standard of living for all Deaf and Disabled Londoners, and one will work on our campaign to secure affordable accessible housing in the capital.

You will receive regular support from colleagues to develop your knowledge and skills across a range of policy areas.

About you

• Are you passionate about social justice and promoting Deaf and Disabled people’s rights?
• Do you have experience of working in policy or producing social policy research and analysis, whether through work, activism, or academia? Do you have good campaigning and influencing skills that you want to develop and use to bring about tangible social change?

About You & The Role

You are a natural builder who enjoys closing deals, developing relationships and creating meaningful social impact. You will shape and lead PBC’s first dedicated fundraising function, building a portfolio from the ground up with limited existing donor relationships.

The role focuses on securing six-figure corporate partnerships and cultivating high-net-worth individual donors, alongside a smaller trusts and foundations portfolio. You thrive in a strategic, relationship-led role and are comfortable using a broad range of fundraising approaches.

Working closely with the leadership team, you will secure funding to support long-term sustainability and expand PBC’s impact across London and beyond. Initially the sole fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team as the function grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Fundraising Strategy Delivery: Take ownership of multi-year fundraising strategy working closely with the CEO and Board to diversify and increase revenue streams that support PBC’s service expansion and reach

• Relationship Management: Research, identify and cultivate funding opportunities from companies and high-net-worth individuals, alongside trusts and foundations

• Trusts & Foundations: Oversee the grant pipeline, with external support for high-value applications and build relationships with decision-makers

• Develop Compelling Fundraising Material: Collaborate with CEO and wider team to evidence, quantify and articulate PBC’s social value using data and storytelling to position PBC as a high-impact partner for donors and partners

• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and evaluate fundraising performance against financial and operational targets. Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board, ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, sector and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practices

• Proactive Self Starter: Though collaborative, you are motivated to build and maintain momentum, identify and create opportunities and take full ownership of projects from initial idea to delivery

• Commercial Development: Support development, sales and delivery of commercial income strategy, specifically helping to grow the paid membership scheme and securing sponsorship for commercial programmes and offers

High Trees are seeking an experienced and data-driven Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead, with strong project management skills. You will be joining us at an exciting time as High Trees continues to grow the scale and reach of our work. This role is central to creating an evidence-based culture and embedding ongoing monitoring and evaluation cycles to understand the impact of our work.

Working across the organisation, you will need to be confident across a range of approaches to monitoring and evaluation and be able to assess and determine appropriate methods, dependent on context. You will be highly proficient in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data and have experience in developing impact frameworks, including theory of change, outcomes, and indicators. As the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead, you will have oversight of monitoring systems and processes ensuring that impact data collected is to a high standard across the organisation and our partnerships.

Collaboration with colleagues is an essential part of this role and you will enjoy working with others and be a valued partner, peer and colleague. Supporting the Head of Community Research and Impact, you will actively contribute to ensuring our impact plan is effectively embedded within key strategic areas. You will need to be highly responsive to the needs of colleagues, partners and funders and be able to provide practical solutions for a range of situations.

You will need to be detailed orientated but motivated by how data and learning can be turned into impactful stories of change. You will also be a strong communicator: experienced in facilitation, an engaging presenter, and a compelling writer, able to frame and share our impact with a range of audiences. You will have the ability to see the bigger picture, at the same time as being on top of the detail – and value both in equal measures!
