Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) is a deeply rooted, community-led charity working to improve lives in one of Lambeth's most diverse and unequal neighbourhoods. Since its inception in 2012, LJAG has grown from a volunteer-led grassroots group into a trusted local organisation delivering impactful projects across play, food, environment, employability and community connection.

LJAG exists to empower and unite local people through bold social action. The work is grounded in participation, lived experience and inclusion - ensuring that those most affected by inequality are central to shaping solutions. With an annual income of c.£600k, a committed staff team, and strong local partnerships, LJAG punches well above its weight and plays a vital role in the social fabric of Loughborough Junction.

The organisation is now entering a pivotal new phase. Core systems and structures have recently been stabilised, and the Board is seeking its first permanent Chief Executive to help embed this transition, reconnect people and projects, and lead LJAG confidently into its next chapter.

About You

LJAG is seeking a CEO who leads with clarity and humanity. This role requires emotional intelligence, presence and trust-building alongside strategic and operational capability.

Skills and Experience

• Senior leadership experience, ideally as a CEO or in a comparable role within a charity, community organisation or values-led environment
• A strong track record of leading change, embedding new ways of working alongside trustees and staff.
• Confidence operating at Board level and managing governance relationships
• Sound operational knowledge, including safeguarding, people management, compliance and systems development

About the Role

About the role:

This is an ideal post for someone with experience and interest in bereavement work, looking to join a forward thinking, new service. This is also a great chance to be working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield and be part of a prison services team in Advance.

Using a trauma informed approached, the Loss & Bereavement Specialist will conduct a person-centred assessment to understand the extent of the client’s emotional needs and the impact of loss due to imprisonment or contact with the criminal justice system whilst also identifying practical and specialist needs. They will work with women to develop a support plan, ensuring they are equipped with information and knowledge about how to navigate possible changes in circumstances related to her children’s care and offer crisis intervention and support during acute phases of loss/bereavement.

The Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker will liaise with the Prison Healthcare team, OMU, visits team and the Family Support Officer to facilitate interactions between women and their children/family members, particularly considering support is in place after visits and that the women’s emotional needs are met in custody and community via our Women’s centres.

The Specialist Worker will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women. They will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential.

About You:

To be successful as the Loss & Bereavement Specialist Worker you will need the below experience and skills:

Experience of working with bereaved individuals and providing grief counselling including knowledge of various therapeutic modalities relevant to grief counselling

Comprehensive understanding of the grieving process and experience of working with bereaved and loss as well as knowledge of traumatic and complex grief/loss.

An understanding of violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system.

Proven ability and experience as a caseworker delivering trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of vulnerable people in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines

The Upper Room (TUR) supports individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, social exclusion and involvement with the criminal justice system. Through UR4Meals and UR4Driving we provide practical support, dignity and opportunity to some of the most disadvantaged members of our community in West London.

About the role

We are looking for a Trusts Manager to join our High Value Relationships team and help secure transformational funding for our work with disabled people with complex needs. This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days in our London office.

Working closely with the Head of High Value Relationships and colleagues across Sense, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our high value fundraising strategy. You will manage a varied portfolio of trust and foundation funders, from early-stage research through to proposal submission, stewardship and reporting.

This role is ideal for an experienced trusts fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, writing compelling proposals, and working collaboratively to bring impactful projects to life.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of trust and foundation prospects to meet income targets.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned to Sense’s priorities and unfunded projects.
• Lead the development and submission of high-quality funding applications, including six-figure-plus proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with Trustees and key funder contacts.
• Lead or support the management of grants, ensuring compliance, quality assurance and timely reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key funders.
• Monitor and report on progress against personal income targets and budgets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Fundraising, Marketing and operational teams to develop strong funding propositions.

About you

You will bring:

• Proven experience generating income and meeting targets in a high value fundraising role.
• Direct experience of developing and submitting six-figure-plus trust and foundation proposals.
• Experience managing a trusts and foundations pipeline and identifying new funding opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building skills, including engaging senior leaders and supporters.
• Experience creating compelling stewardship plans and managing funder relationships.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write persuasive, impactful proposals and reports.
• Strong numerical skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.

Desirable

• Experience working in disability, health, education or social care charities.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• Knowledge of trust and foundation funding trends.

The Role

As the Crisis Café Team Coordinator, you will work in partnership with a second Crisis Cafe Team Coordinator to:
