About the Role
We are looking for a Chief Operations Officer to lead the operations team, join the management team and support the CEO. Your priorities will be to oversee all fundraising, including campaigns, major donors and grant applications. You will oversee the HR of the organisation, including recruitment and disciplinaries. In partnership with the CEO and finance officer you will be jointly responsible for finance within the organisation. You will manage the facilities manager and administrator, ensuring that processes are followed appropriately and the building is maintained in good condition, ensuring we fulfil all legal requirements.

You will be a senior manager who has energy and drive as well as sound judgement. On top of a strong track record in an operational position, you will have the breadth of experience to lead HR and systems, finance, monitoring and evaluation and fundraising. Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness services. About the job - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our supported housing services in Wandsworth.The service has 30 units of accommodation across 5 sites. This role will operate across our various levels of supported housing, including a flexible threshold unit that adopts a harm reduction approach with flexible tolerance toward drug use.
You will be part of a team providing support to the residents in the service and will be required to work on a rota basis that includes every other weekend. The service is set up to support residents to stabilise their substance use, focusing on harm reduction whilst improving independent living skills and achieving their individual goals. As a keyworker, you would keywork not less than 2 residents, providing support and advice through regular planned keywork sessions. In addition, you would work closely with our partner organisations to ensure that the residents receive support tailored to their needs. You would also contribute to the running of in-house groups and sessions, as well as external activities and days out,

North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington. Role Purpose

The successful candidate will have:
- Two years’ recent experience of working with children/young people who are at risk in a residential or community based setting.
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent; and a commitment to complete Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management in residential care within 2 years of starting.
- Ability to develop appropriate one-to-one relationships with young people and employ mentoring skills that empower young people to achieve their goals.
- Numeracy skills to manage budgets efficiently and contribute to the budgetary process.
- An understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the provision of residential services for children and young people.
- Awareness of issues facing young people such as bullying, gangs and exploitation and how these impact on behaviour.
- Ability to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays and undertake sleep-ins.
- Ability and willingness to be part of an on call rota overseeing multiple Homes.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will lead and support a professional team of staff committed to transforming young lives and creating positive outcomes. You will be supported by a Registered Manager, Team Leaders, and the team of residential staff.
