Sands is looking to recruit an outstanding and people-focused candidate to lead our Bereavement Support Services Team. This is a high-profile role which is responsible for ensuring that all those approaching Sands for support receive an excellent service that meets their individual needs, that the quality of support provided remains consistently high and all team members are appropriately managed and supported. The Role

As the Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance & HR Director and support the Finance & HR Director in leading day-to-day financial operations, taking ownership of transactional accounting and month-end reconciliations. You’ll maintain the general ledger, ensure data integrity across systems, and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control functions. In your roles, you will work closely with the Finance & HR Director to support the development and implementation of Financial Policies and processes and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

• Lead and oversee the month-end reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including credit control activities, with support from the Assistant Finance Manager.

This is an exciting and varied role will be providing a key role in developing and increasing income, donor acquisition and engagement across SSCH’s Individual Giving fundraising programme, including legacies. The post will work to maximise potential and develop both new and existing donors, through targeted donor development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programmes.

The post holder will work flexibly across the Individual Giving income streams including individual donations, campaigns, gifts in memory and legacies. As part of this, a key responsibility will be the relationship management and support to any of our supported families who choose to fundraise for SSCH. This role will also support with legacy administration.

This role will combine a targeted driven approach with excellent donor care and relationship management helping to drive growth and income.

About you

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience within a fundraising or comparable role. Ideally the candidate will have some legacy administration experience.

You will also have an ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider fundraising team to ensure success of income growth.

Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) is an international non-governmental organisation which works to amplify the voices of rural women globally.  We are looking for an Executive Director for our small Central Office team which works with member organisations and individuals in the UK and around the world to ensure that rural women are represented, recognised for their critical importance in society, and have a platform to influence policy makers.  We combine advocacy and small-scale, women-led development projects designed by the local women who will implement them for the benefit of their communities.

This an exciting time to join ACWW in the lead up to our centenary and planning for the 32nd Triennial World Conference in 2029.  We are looking to appoint an Executive Director as our current Executive Director will be retiring this summer.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Board of Trustees and working with colleagues and trustees to foster relationships, partnerships and collaborations with individuals, funders and networks in line with the Association’s objectives, priorities and values. You will have an important contribution to make in all aspects of the Association.
