Purpose of the post:
As part of our Business Directorate, this role will lead a first-class comprehensive support function that underpins all areas of the charity:

Key responsibilities:
·Co-ordinate support across the organisation, working with the leadership team, core business and programme teams to coordinate meetings, create visual content and resources, design artwork, support day-to-day communications.
·To manage logistics and delivery of in-person events in liaison with Marcomms and programme teams (e.g. World Book Night, Summer Reading Challenge launches), and coordinating internal events (e.g. Staff days, Board meetings).
·Managing The Reading Agency online shop processes and being a key point of contact for print and design suppliers, and ensuring high quality customer service for partners and customers in contact with the charity.
·Line management of the Business Support Administrator.
·Managing the office facilities and equipment, and homeworking requirements to ensure staff can carry out their work effectively, and act as the key day-to-day liaison between The Reading Agency and Society of Authors, working with the Head of Finance and Operations.
·Staff Health and Safety Lead: Monitoring health and safety, undertaking desk assessments and providing health and safety guidance to all staff and associates.
·Carrying out other projects or duties as may be requested by The Reading Agency management where capacity allows.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and working closely with colleagues across EngineeringUK as well as our partners, you will be instrumental to the delivery of our policy and public affairs programme.
You will lead on policy projects and on developing organisational policy positions, producing reports and responses to government consultations (with a focus on education and skills). You will be working with the Public Affairs Advisor and other colleagues to communicate these messages to government. You will also be responsible for engaging with stakeholders, internally and externally, requiring you to be an excellent team player and collaborator. You will have a good understanding of how to use research and data to identify trends and support policy development and be a confident and persuasive communicator. You need to be able to work independently and be adept at managing multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. About the Role
A key leader within the ambitious and forward-thinking Fundraising & Communications Team at The Connection at St Martin’s, the Head of Supporter Involvement plays a central role in inspiring, growing and stewarding our community of supporters.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead our Training Team on developing and delivering training for all of National Numeracy's programmes.
Our training team is absolutely central to the success of our mission at National Numeracy. In order to reach and support as many adults and children across the UK as possible, we take an online train-the-trainer approach, by training Numeracy Champions and Volunteers in different settings. We do not teach any maths - instead we train Champions to raise awareness of the value of numeracy, supporting others to overcome anxieties, build confidence, and feel better about using and improving basic maths. We do not work with children directly, but train teachers as Numeracy Champions to support children and their families.
This team of two therefore have a busy calendar of training delivery, as well as the admin associated with this and with the work around capturing the impact measurement of our training. We are looking for someone who is not only an excellent and empathetic trainer who can confidently and reliably lead this dynamic activity, but can also work strategically with our Programmes Director to develop our training further, while line managing and developing our Training Officer.
The successful candidate will work closely with the other Programme Managers to ensure smooth and successful delivery of our activity, as well as across our wider team, managing the training budget, and liaising with our External Relations and Operations & Impact teams. This role is important in collecting impact and case studies as there it has regular direct contact with our Champions and our beneficiaries. There will also be opportunities to keep the whole National Numeracy team and our Board of Trustees informed about our training programme.

Research Grants Manager
We’re looking for a Research Grants Manager to join the team.

Position: CE401 Research Grants Manager
Location: Home-based, UK nationwide however, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £47,000 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,475 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)
Contract: Permanent

The Role
The Research Grants Manager leads the design, delivery and governance of the Association’s research funding portfolio. The role ensures that all Association funded research schemes, including fellowships and project grants, are strategically configured, rigorously governed and effectively delivered in line with the Association’s Research Strategy.
The role will ensure that research funding schemes are aligned with external research developments and designed to maximise long-term impact. The role includes formal accountability for embedding high-quality, inclusive and structured lived experience participation within research funding processes.
The Research Grants Manager is the organisational lead for research funding operations, ensuring the Association maintains a sector-leading, transparent and strategically focused funding programme.
