Outline of the IT Supporter role
It is amazing how much difference you could make to your local group by providing IT support, either remotely or in person. Even the smallest things like setting up email accounts, using video calling software and creating social media accounts can be a real challenge for some volunteers, so your expertise will make the world of difference to supporting your local group to help adults learn to read in your community.
The skills you will need
● Knowledge and previous experience of fundraising is desirable, though not essential.
● A willingness to seek out potential sources of funding.
● Experience of writing funding bids is desirable, though not essential.
● Good negotiating and influencing skills.
● The ability to use initiative and work independently.
● A willingness to abide by Read Easy policies and procedures.

Volunteer Social Media Manager
Giant Football Community Walk
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 3 to 5 hours per week
The Giant Football Community Walk is looking for a volunteer Social Media Manager to help promote our 2026 event and engage with football supporters, clubs, foundations and supporter groups across the North West.
The event will bring together supporters from across the football pyramid for a 42km or 21km community walking challenge. Participants will represent their clubs, raise money for good causes and celebrate the positive role football plays within local communities.
What You’ll Do
• Manage and grow our Facebook and Instagram accounts
• Create and schedule social media content
• Promote participating clubs, supporter groups and charities
• Help recruit walkers, volunteers and supporters
• Respond to messages and engage with online communities
• Share participant stories, fundraising updates and event news

We are looking for an Events Assistant who can help us organise monthly community dinners featuring three course meals from around the globe to enable the charity to engage with and attract donors. We require help with running the dinner on the day with tasks including welcoming the guests, serving food and drinks, take payments, setting up and clearing, etc.

Our partner is a small faith-based organisation supporting indigenous communities in Central America through integrated health, education and community care programmes.

Adoption Matters is a children’s charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK. We recruit, train and support individuals, couples and families looking to adopt and offer ongoing support and training. We also offer a support service for adopted adults and birth families, and a specialised therapy service.
In 2024, we launched our not for profit fostering agency, Foster Care Matters. As a non profit provider, the service is committed to reinvesting resources to deliver high quality support and ongoing training for foster parents. More recently in 2026, we acquired 1st Affinity Fostering Service in Wrexham, securing a not-for-profit future for the agency in Wales.

Term commitment
The term of appointment will be three years initially, with a review of performance for renewal for a further three years and again after this period, up to a maximum of nine years. In exceptional circumstances, the term may extend beyond this period.
Remuneration and expenses
This position is unremunerated; however, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
