Actively Interviewing

This organisation is scheduling interviews as applications come in. They're ready to hire as soon as they find the right person. Don't miss your opportunity, apply now!

Job description

This is a great next step for a highly experienced innovator who is driven to engage people in new ways to create new income streams – a constructive disruptor and developer of new products who can challenge the status quo in fundraising and revenue generation.

Greenpeace is an international network of non profit campaigning organisations operating in over 55 countries. Our independence and global reach enable us to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

This newly created role will be instrumental in building our fundraising innovation function, capability and culture. Working with colleagues across the fundraising department and the wider organisation, you’ll lead on horizon scanning, pipeline management and the full delivery of innovation cycles.

Using all your powers of creative and strategic thinking, you’ll be encouraged to find new solutions for fundraising challenges – identifying and implementing innovative ideas to develop new products and generate sustainable income streams. You’ll be free to seize fresh opportunities of all kinds as we strive to meet the needs of our supporters, halve emissions and restore biodiversity by the end of this decade, in a fair and equitable way.

Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. Reasonable adjustments as well as specific office based needs will be considered for those with long term health conditions and disabilities.

You'll have

  • Strong track record of developing new mass market products in a fundraising or revenue generation context.
  • Significant experience of using an innovation framework to tackle new product development.
  • Experience of commissioning and using audience research, deriving insights from a variety of data sources, and using these to inform plans and initiatives.
  • Excellent working knowledge of product design principles, innovation methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix management approach, plus coaching and supporting teams.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship building, stakeholder management and communication skills.

We give you
You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few. Take a look at our Work for Greenpeace pages to find out more about what it’s like to work for us and why you should apply.

Our commitment to diversity
Greenpeace UK is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. We acknowledge that people from certain backgrounds are under-represented in environmental and campaigning organisations and we’re committed to doing what we can to correct this.

As part of our commitment to increasing representation of people from underrepresented communities in the environmental sector, we are piloting a Guaranteed Interview Scheme (GIS) as a new approach to make our recruitment more equitable. If you identify as a person of colour, you can choose to opt in to the Guaranteed Interview Scheme at the application stage on the next page. We will be aiming to offer everyone who opts into the scheme and meets the essential criteria a first stage interview/assessment. While we fully intend to honour this, exceptionally high application volumes may affect our capacity. If so, we will communicate clearly and keep candidates informed as we continue to learn and improve.

Greenpeace UK is an inclusive and diversity-friendly employer. We value difference, promote equality and challenge discrimination, enhancing our organisational capability. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of disability, race, colour, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age or any other category protected by law.
