We are looking for a senior partnerships officer who will ensure our vital work to address the
environmental crisis is well funded, working to secure new partnerships and stewarding existing
funder relationships.
This multifaceted role works across teams to coordinate and deliver Green Alliance’s fundraising
activities and grant management. Collaborating with the organisation’s policy and political
experts, you support the creation of creative and impactful new project proposals that address
environmental problems and support the organisation’s strategy. You will identify funders for this
through prospecting and relationship building and will guide proposals through processes to
secure funds. You will monitor the organisation’s progress against fundraising targets and lead on
management of our funding pipeline.
Stewardship of existing funding relationships is a significant part of this role which means
ensuring we have excellent communication with our funders, making sure they receive high
quality reports on Green Alliance’s impact and supporting the team to see our funders as partners.
You will manage our Business Circle and maintain relationships with its members and support
efforts to recruit new business members into Green Alliance Task Forces.
Excellent communication skills are at the heart of this role, both written and verbal. You will be
confident, efficient, and resourceful; calm under pressure and enjoy building strong relationships
with a variety of senior stakeholders, as well as working independently. Strong skills in relation to
organisation, administration and prioritisation are essential.
You will need to understand, or be willing to learn about, the political and environmental policy
contexts we work in.

The role
We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the next phase of our strategic plan driving growth in income, strengthening the organisational capability, and positioning the UK as a leading philanthropic engine within the global organisation.
The CEO will provide overall leadership of Rainforest Trust UK, with a primary focus on fundraising, external engagement, and partnering.

Your Mission
Following a series of significant new business wins, the Corporate Partnerships Team are looking to grow. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Corporate Partnerships Officer who is motivated by results and a natural-born relationship builder and communicator. The role will be responsible for managing, growing and extending a portfolio of partnerships (worth approximately £20,000 per year) as well as supporting the wider team with our higher value partnerships and team administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent relationship management to a portfolio of corporate partners (worth approx. £20k per year), including, but not limited to, producing account management plans, setting partnership objectives, supporting fundraising initiatives and employee engagement, thereby significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.
- Ensure partnership milestones and fundraising targets are monitored, met, reported on and celebrated with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events, where public speaking and delivering presentations may be required.
- Work closely with the Services, Data and MarComms teams to build engaging, accurate and tailored impact reports for partners that encourage long-term support.
- Continue to seek ways of deepening partner relationships, and spotting opportunities for growth and extensions where possible, contributing to CALM’s strategy of growing repeatable, sustainable income.
- Devise sustainable exit strategies for partners that leave behind a lasting legacy for CALM.
- Build strong working relationships and collaborate closely with colleagues across CALM to complement partnership activity.
- Use data and insight to inform team budgeting and reporting.
- Support the Corporate Partnerships team as a whole to be more productive and efficient by taking on administrative tasks. This may include (but not limited to) responding to enquiries, updating our CRM (Salesforce), ordering and sending materials, creating and sending the corporate newsletter, updating the corporate partnerships webpages, writing briefs and conducting desk research.
- Support the Corporate Partnerships team as a whole to be more productive and efficient by identifying and making improvements to working practices and processes.
- Adhere to GDPR, fundraising regulator legislation and guidelines.
- Understand and adhere to the CALM values.
Your profile
Competencies
- A demonstrable track record of delivering financial results against agreed targets and timescales.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with ability to engage effectively with a range of audiences both internal and external.
- Ability to direct client facing meetings, getting to the core of what motivates a partner to take action, and present a case for support convincingly.
- Confidence in managing partner expectations and having difficult conversations where necessary, keeping the charity’s best interests at heart.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to develop tailored and compelling presentations, reports and communications to a high standard.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, taking initiative and often working to conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate and positively contribute to team culture.
- Willingness to work hard and attend, where necessary, events outside of office hours.
- Passion for the cause and delivering CALM’s mission.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience of successfully managing partnerships, ideally within the third sector and worth at least five figures.
- Experience of growing and extending partnerships in line with organisational objectives.
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us.
The role will report to the School Partnerships Manager. It can be based at either of our Brilliant Club offices, located in London and Leeds.

To enable Operation Smile’s global surgical activities, OSUK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraisers and trusts and foundations.
We have created an exciting new position in our team for an ambitious and confident relationship fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Partnerships Officer, the Partnerships Manager position will secure critical income from new and existing corporate partners through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.
The position will build on existing partner relationships with high-profile businesses like Superdrug, the Perfume Shop and Johnson & Johnson, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects in relevant sectors, working closely with the Director of Partnerships.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships Development
- Ensure achievement of annual income target for corporate partnerships
- Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of medium and large corporate partnerships, including global partners (working with Operation Smile Inc), to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each partner will be essential
- Develop and implement plans for partner activity to maximise all income channels, including corporate philanthropy, employee engagement, cause-related marketing and more
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new corporate fundraising prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships
- Enhance our employee engagement and community fundraising offer with simple, easy-to-do fundraising activities, linked to key moments in the calendar
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to partners and internal stakeholders
- Represent Operation Smile UK in global corporate partner discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK
- Lead on the development and management of any corporate partner cultivation events
Additional Responsibilities
- Line manage one Partnerships Officer, supporting them to manage inbound community fundraising requests and existing relationships, as well as smaller corporate partners
- Oversight of community fundraising income target delivered by the Officer
- Create and maintain annual corporate partnerships and community fundraising budgets and business plans, including activities from current supporters and forecasting new business income
Additional Information
- 2 years’ experience in a corporate partnerships or business development role
- We promote flexible and hybrid working, with 2 days per week in our London office in Battersea (nearest stations Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town). There will also be some UK travel for meetings, conferences and events.
- Some overseas travel required to visit projects and partner countries, a highlight of the role!
