About You

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be a confident and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. You will have a solid knowledge of philanthropic giving and a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality donor stewardship. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will enjoy working with data and be skilled at producing compelling content both on and offline. You will bring initiative, creativity and the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.

The Philanthropy Manager is a new donor-facing role, which will focus on expanding and strengthening a major donor portfolio to increase five and six figure income from individual donors and family trusts for Art UK. You will lead on managing and growing Art UK’s philanthropic giving programme, which includes the Patrons and supporter events programme and our major donor activity. Working within an ambitious team, you will have the support of a freelance Prospect Researcher to identify new prospects, and the Development Manager and CRM Officer to develop donor journeys and relationship management systems. You will report to the Head of Development, work closely with the CEO and Chair of the Philanthropy Board, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline through identification, research, cultivation and relationship-building to secure five-figure gifts and long-term support
• Manage a portfolio of mid-level individual donors, converting one-off supporters into deeper donor relationships
• Manage and grow Art UK’s mid-level regular giving programme, strengthening donor relationships through face-to face meetings, events and personalised communication
• Develop donor development strategies, using CRM to analysis and identify higher gift prospects from existing donor pool and maximise giving potential
• Lead on major gifts for annual Big Give campaigns, identifying and securing keystone pledge donors, and leveraging networks to reach giving targets
• Create and implement, effectively and in a timely manner, development plans for each donor to retain and upgrade donors and document all activities in CRM Beacon
• Prepare and personalise correspondence and fundraising materials, including donor stewardship and reports, funding proposals and acknowledgement letters as appropriate
• Work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to showcase Art UK’s work and enhance donor engagement
• Organise and deliver events for major donors and prospects (with support from the Development team), including attending events where appropriate
• Support management of the American Friends of Art UK (launching 2026), including donor stewarding and events programming
• Support senior leadership and board members in the preparation and delivery of high-quality donor pitches to secure new philanthropic gifts
• Monitor progress against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including updates to Art UK’s Board of Trustees and the Philanthropy Board
• Ensure pledges and donations are processed efficiently and that donors are thanked promptly and personally
• Work closely with all members of the Development team to ensure prospecting and cultivation activity is aligned and complementary

A member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, the role will be responsible for securing and managing high-value strategic partnerships with businesses while simultaneously driving engagement with local community groups, education partners, and faith groups, ensuring clear tiering, structured pipeline progression and robust income performance.

Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occasional training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occasional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will take lead when the Community Shop Manager is away, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service. Overall Purpose
 
The Influencing Project Manager will work as part of a flexible team to develop, lead and manage the stakeholder engagement, influencing and communications elements of the Volunteering for Health programme.
 
Volunteering for Health is a £10million learning programme focused on testing, building and growing healthcare volunteering infrastructure. The programme has invested in fifteen systems across England who are navigating complex health systems to ensure that volunteering is embedded as a system wide NHS asset.
 
The team is responsible for developing and delivering the ‘learning and support’ and the ‘influencing and communications’ elements of the national programme, in partnership with NHS England and CW .
 
We have reached an exciting stage where we can turn our local learning into national change. By using the inspiring stories and impact from our programme, we want to show healthcare leaders what is possible. We are positioning our learnings to prove that volunteering infrastructure is a vital solution for a modern and sustainable health service aligned to the NHS 10-year Health Plan.
 
Overall Objectives

• Work collaboratively and strategically with a wide range of stakeholders including our member charities, NHS Trusts, VCSE organisations, funders, and government officials.
• Develop compelling narratives and high impact campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences and mobilise stakeholders at every level.
• To identify and leverage cross-sector themes and opportunities to scale impact across health, social care, and the voluntary sector, underpinned by robust horizon scanning and a commitment to innovative, non-traditional problem solving.
• Support the programme to maximise its impact and reach through bringing partners and stakeholders together.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Convene and engage stakeholders, including member charities, NHS trusts and employees, funders and evaluators, to co-produce plans collaboratively.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
• Provide support to funded partnerships, enabling their development and to become high performing.
• Represent the organisation externally, acting as a champion for NHS Charities Together and NHS charities.
• Form professional and beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders – including at a senior level, representing the department internally and externally, and bringing policy knowledge to bear to support their influencing in line with our strategic goals.
• Building and maintaining a stakeholder database to reflect the opportunities for system change at local, regional and national level.

 
Project Design and Development

• Create plans with clear objectives, time lines, milestones and budgets, ensuring that projects and campaigns are financially sustainable and cover our costs.
• Lead processes to capture and synthesise information, and insight to support the development and design of approaches.
• Proactively build knowledge and understanding in volunteering and healthcare to support wider organisational learnings in these domains.

 
Delivery and Management

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking communication and influencing plans to elevate our funded partnerships.
• Oversee workstream governance, risk management, and reporting processes, maintaining strong administration and compliance throughout.
• Regularly review and monitor impact against our strategic goals.
• Support internal resource planning to ensure efficient staffing and best use of our team.
• Manage project resources and staff effectively, fostering a collaborative team culture and supporting and developing team members to perform.
• Provide line management and support to staff as required.

 
Learning and Evaluation

• Work in a way to embed learning and insight capture into business as usual.
• Commission and manage external consultants where appropriate, ensuring quality and alignment with project aims.
• Lead learning events, and convene stakeholders to support the capture of insight.
• Support in the development of insight and related policy positions in relation to initiatives being managed, working closely with policy colleagues to identify system gaps and potential solutions.
• Ensure projects contribute to learning, including supporting the dissemination of what works and how to scale successful approaches.

The External Affairs Manager plays a pivotal role in empowering people with sight loss to live the life they choose. This position leads the development of policy and campaigns within the country, aligning with Guide Dogs’ strategic objectives. Working collaboratively with the central policy, public affairs, and campaigns team, as well as the country leadership team, the role builds strategic partnerships with government bodies, local authorities, societies, and other key organisations. This ensures Guide Dogs remains informed and influential on all policy initiatives affecting the organisation and its stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership, management and oversight of a team.

The post-holder is responsible for shaping policy positions, drafting responses to consultations from councils, combined authorities, and devolved governments, and driving impactful campaigns at a regional level. A key focus is increasing the involvement of blind and partially sighted people in advocacy and campaigning.

Additionally, the role leads the implementation of Guide Dogs’ regional marketing and communications strategy across the Devolved Nations. This includes raising brand awareness, engaging diverse audiences—service users, families, volunteers, donors, and the public—and delivering integrated communications plans that strengthen Guide Dogs’ presence and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development

• Lead the creation of country-specific policy and position papers, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
• Prepare responses to consultation papers from devolved administrations, local government, and regional bodies.
• Represent Guide Dogs on committees, working groups, and forums, staying informed on policy issues impacting the organisation and its service users.

Public Affairs

• Build and influence relationships with key stakeholders, including elected representatives and senior officials.
• Represent Guide Dogs at Government Scrutiny Committees and cross-party groups.
• Act as the primary liaison with local government and statutory agencies.

Campaigns & Influence

• Strategically lead and coordinate campaigns at a country level, ensuring alignment with devolved policy priorities.
• Develop and deliver campaigns addressing local needs of the visually impaired community.
• Foster partnerships within the Third Sector to build consensus and amplify Guide Dogs’ strategic aims. 

Leadership & People Management

• Provide strong leadership to local staff and volunteers, promoting best practice and knowledge-sharing.
• Oversee recruitment, performance management, and compliance with safeguarding policies.
• Ensure high levels of engagement through effective communication and leadership.

Financial Accountability

• Support fundraising initiatives and monitor operational budgets to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager

The Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager is a key role as we develop and evolve our early diagnosis programmes at Bowel Cancer UK. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the charity’s awareness and engagement programmes and the new Bowel Towns programme. This role will manage a multi-disciplinary team delivering programmes that improve cancer awareness, empower communities, and drive earlier diagnosis.

In addition, as the charity’s services lead for Northern Ireland (NI), the post holder will build high-impact partnerships and develop a regional plan to enhance awareness, early detection, and support for people affected by cancer. You’ll work closely with the Head of Services and Support to ensure our early diagnosis services are impactful, inclusive, and evidence-based.

The Katie Piper Foundation is a small, national charity founded in 2009 by Katie Piper, a burns survivor. We exist to provide rehabilitation to survivors of life-altering burns and traumatic scarring.

This is a new and varied role where you will be responsible for the development of our supporter-led fundraising and challenge events portfolio, be involved in event management and administration and provide exceptional stewardship to maximise fundraising from supporters and donors. As our Fundraising Manager, you will take the reins in shaping and executing an ambitious annual fundraising plan. Your mission? To grow supporter-led fundraising income by spotting opportunities and championing third-party events that inspire our supporters. You’ll also craft an engaging, inclusive community fundraising plan, building a thriving network of supporters and empowering survivors to get involved, and support our events programme, including our annual carol concert.

But that’s not all. You’ll play a key role in driving diverse income-generating initiatives, ensuring the charity remains strong and sustainable. Your work will directly fuel our ability to offer vital therapy and rehabilitation, creating real, lasting change in the lives of survivors.
