We’re on the hunt for a PR Officer, who will play a key role in connecting the public with our work through compelling media coverage.

What does this role do?
As PR Officer, you’ll:

• play a key role in the running of our busy press office, responding to requests from journalists swiftly and effectively, underpinned by a strong understanding of PR and reputational risk,
• generate pro-active media coverage for specific campaigns, writing news stories that effectively convey our key messages to journalists and the wider public,
• collaborate with centre-based Media Coordinators and Centre Managers to share positive stories about dogs in their centre, helping spread the word about the amazing work we do,
• work closely with the Public Affairs team on their campaigns, providing PR expertise and support to exciting campaigns such as to end greyhound racing and improve the rights of pet-owning renters.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for 24th June 2026 and will take place in person at our London office.

Over the past two years, Project Intercept has shown that these interventions can reach large numbers of people and contribute to meaningful behaviour change. We are now entering the final year of the project, with a focus on widening our impact – growing partnerships with more tech companies while continuing to support and strengthen existing relationships. 

This role sits at the centre of that work, supporting both the coordination and development of Project Intercept’s partnerships. The postholder will engage with a wide range of external stakeholders, including major technology companies, government, law enforcement and third sector organisations, helping to build and maintain positive working relationships while ensuring activity is well organised, progressed and delivered effectively. Alongside this, the role will support project delivery, evidence gathering and internal coordination, helping the programme run smoothly, reach more partners and maximise its impact.

About the role

Reporting in to the Individual Giving Lead, the Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer will drive the strategy and execution of Christian Aid’s individual giving acquisition efforts, ensuring high impact campaigns like Christian Aid Week, Christmas and Emergency Appeals effectively attract new supporters. What we are looking for in our Senior Corporate Partnerships Communications Officer: 

• Significant corporate partnership account management experience with particular expertise in the creation and delivery of partner marketing communications 

• Extensive experience of developing strong relationships with supporters/ clients/colleagues 

• Experience of developing bespoke propositions/presentations/proposals 

• Experience of working with marketing teams to develop marcomms campaigns 

• Significant charity experience

Job Summary for Senior Stories Officer

The Senior Stories Officer is responsible for sourcing, developing and sharing powerful lived‑experience stories that bring Bowel Cancer UK’s mission and impact to life. The role leads the ethical gathering, crafting and distribution of case studies across channels including media, digital, social media, fundraising materials, campaigns, partnerships, and internal communications.

The postholder will work closely with people affected by bowel cancer, ensuring their experiences are represented sensitively, accurately and in an informed way. They will also support colleagues across the charity to use stories effectively, maintaining a central story and assets bank, and safeguarding processes.
