Job Summary
The Leadership Programme Manager will oversee the development of a leadership programme and its rollout through establishing sustainable digital hubs, and providing training to women leaders and male allies. The role will work closely with the PMEL Manager, Provincial Coordinator, church leaders and a team of trainers, to develop a comprehensive leadership curriculum, coordinate the training of trainers, establish online materials to create a hybrid learning model, monitor participant progress, and build networks to promote cross-participant learning and peer support. This position requires expertise in developing online training resources across multi-cultural contexts, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Oversee the advancement of leadership development as a core strategic priority for MU
- Develop and implement programme strategies, resources and tools that strengthen and scale the leadership development initiative, integrating research, monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Design a leadership curriculum that meets the intended project objectives and equips women across diverse contexts, through online and hybrid learning, combining spiritual guidance with practical leadership and management skills
Programme Planning and Budgeting
- Work with PMEL Manager to design and refine M&E frameworks and specific targets
- Develop and manage work plans and budgets in line with project goals and donor requirements
- Identify an appropriate digital platform to be used to run the online aspects of the leadership development programme
- Oversee the successful purchase and use of core equipment necessary to run the digital platform
Programme Implementation and Review
- Lead and support the delivery of leadership training activities across participating dioceses
- Monitor progress against programme outcomes, ensuring high-quality implementation that is timely and within budget
- Collaborate with coordinators, trainers and church leaders to review programme content and adapt as needed for relevance and effectiveness
- Support reporting, learning and sharing of best practice across participating dioceses
- Champion safeguarding and gender empowerment throughout all stages of the project
- Coordinate data collection in line with the programme M&E plan, including impact stories and other evidence of change, for use in MU communications, including social media and publications

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Programme Manager is a key role in the Rio Ferdinand Foundation’s isle of Ireland team. This post is responsible for managing an exciting new cross-border PEACE Academy programme in Belfast and Sligo, funded by the Special EU Programme Body (SEUPB) PEACEPLUS programme https://www.seupb.eu/
The aim of this new three-year programme, is to deliver and evidence a PEACE Academy pathway of engagement, learning, social action and employability that will inspire young people from communities in Northern Ireland and Ireland to create shared experiences and build a long-term response to sectarianism, racism and hate on a cross community and cross border basis.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will:
§ Establish and develop our new PEACE Academy Programme in partnership with Glentoran FC and Sligo Rovers FC together with a network of grass-root partners, as well as community policing and other strategic stakeholders.
§ Line manage a new programme staff team including 2x Regional Coordinators, a part time Training Lead, part time Monitoring Officer, a part time Admin Officer and a part time Finance Officer as well as sessional staff.
§ Lead and manage a three-year cross border and cross community youth and community development programme engaging Catholic / Nationalist / Republican (CNR), Protestant/ Unionist/ Loyalist (PUL), and newcomer communities.
§ Oversee the development of sessions which utilise youth culture as a platform for personal development, working with your staff team to design, deliver and manage engaging sessions and opportunities utilising music and the creative arts, sport, and digital media.
§ Develop, and oversee the delivery of our youth development pathway across both regions, including twice weekly sessions, workshops, seminars and accredited training pathways, mentoring, cross-border events and initiatives, careers events and pathways with a range of commercial partners, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
§ Quality assure the delivery of sessions and outputs linked to the personal development of young people.
§ Encourage and support the involvement of volunteers from the local community.
§ Develop positive relationships with key strategic partners involved in the project and ensure links are made and information shared with appropriate agencies.
§ Work closely with our CEO and Director for Ireland & Northern Ireland on the strategic positioning and development of the Foundation and the legacy of the PEACE Academy programme.
§ Work with our Director of Operations to establish and implement a robust monitoring, evaluation and learning framework for the programme with key data capture tools in place from the outset.
§ Be responsible for the delivery of specified targets for the programme through producing regular action plans and work programmes, ensuring that all project planning, monitoring, and evaluation procedures are implemented and adhered to.
§ Ensure all monitoring data is captured and recorded against targets ensuring funder reports are produced and meetings attended as and when required.
§ Ensure all administrative and financial functions of the programme are conducted in accordance with funder requirements
§ Work with our Directors on the financial and wider reporting of the programme as required by our funder.
§ Work with an external monitoring agency to ensure their independent impact evaluation is completed alongside our own internal monitoring.
§ Work with our Director of Development on shaping and implementing a communications strategy for the PEACE Academy.
§ Keep up to date with local and regional trends in sports/arts for social change and work with young people.
§ Actively represent Rio Ferdinand Foundation at working groups, initiatives, and events.
§ Assist and contribute to the on-going development and strategy of the Rio Ferdinand Foundation’s work in Sligo and Belfast as well as across the island of Ireland.
§ Develop and maintain key relationships with partners from across various sectors including, statutory, private, business and third sectors.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work flexibly where appropriate on evening, weekends and during school holidays to ensure full and supportive delivery of the programme.

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Dorset.
- The Dorset Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
- The Dorset Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
- Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
- Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

About the opportunity

- The Birmingham Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. · Support participants to identify the wider issues that have an impact on their health outcomes and wellbeing.
· Be a friendly source of information about healthy lifestyles and wellbeing.
· Where appropriate, introduce participants to community groups, activities and statutory services. Follow up to ensure they are happy, able to engage, included and receiving good support.
· Ensure all data, monitoring and evaluation is kept up to date and reported back as required.
· Adhere to data protection, confidentiality, information sharing protocols and provide monitoring information as required.
· Feedback on-going development, monitoring and evaluation of the programme highlighting any issues that need resolving.
· Provide regular reports detailing the progress of the service and updates as and when required.
- Put into practice the agreed policies and procedures of the organisation in order that legal, regulatory and quality standards are met.
- To work professionally as part of a team, participating in individual and team reflective youth work practice; supervision; appraisal; professional development; recording; reporting; and contributing to quality improvements as required.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in line with data protection requirements and with respect to confidentiality at all times.
- To take part in regular reviews of the service, identify and overcome any barriers preventing people from accessing the service.
- Lead on evaluation of services delivered, providing an evaluation report to the Senior Leadership at the agreed frequency.
To complete risk benefit assessments on activities, outings and events as necessary.
