About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Philanthropy Team in a brand-new role that will play a key part in securing transformational funding for Alder Hey Children's Charity.
As Bid Writer, you will lead on the development of compelling, high-quality funding applications to large-scale national grant programmes and, over time, statutory funding bodies. Collaborating across the Charity and the hospital, you will translate complex clinical, research and capital projects into persuasive, evidence-led cases for support that inspire investment in the future of children's healthcare.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys writing, research and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll bring together ideas, evidence and expertise to shape ambitious projects into funder-ready proposals with the potential to make a lasting difference for children and families.

Bid Development & Writing
Lead the development and writing of high-quality funding applications to national grant programmes and, over time, statutory funding opportunities.
Produce compelling, tailored funding applications that clearly demonstrate need, impact and outcomes.
Manage a varied pipeline of funding applications, ensuring multiple deadlines are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Research & Opportunity Development
Research and identify new funding opportunities that align with the Charity's strategic priorities.
Develop and maintain a proactive pipeline of opportunities, working closely with colleagues across the Charity.
Collaboration & Project Development
Work with clinicians and charity colleagues to gather information and develop strong funding propositions.
Translate complex clinical and technical information into accessible, engaging and persuasive cases for support.

Maintain accurate records of applications and outcomes using the charity CRM.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid writing processes, templates and resources across the team.

Additional Information
In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy. Staff previously working 37.5 hours now work 30 hours across four days, maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance.

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. The Role
As the Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable residents to sustain their tenancies through specialist welfare advice, income maximisation and tailored support. Managing your own case-load, you will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to identify barriers, develop support plans and deliver practical solutions that improve residents' financial well-being and independence.

About the role
Your role will manage a varied caseload providing high quality debt and housing related advice and support. You will need to work flexibly across the Lancashire area, including Blackpool. Working with clients you will do an initial needs assessment and develop support/case plans with aim of maximising their income by reducing outgoings, assessing affordability, setting up budgeting plans, helping to secure a home and repay debts.

About you
You will need experience of providing debt advice and advocacy and the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records and deliver group workshops and presentations. You will need the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, particularly those with lived experience of homelessness, as well as collaborating with people from other teams and organisations.

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Public Fundraising Executive (Community & Challenge Events) to join our ambitious Fundraising team and help support, develop and grow our Challenge Events programme, alongside delivering Community Fundraising activity.

With an initial focus on our expanded London Marathon programme, you’ll help recruit, onboard and support runners and challenge event participants, ensuring they feel motivated, informed and part of Team Sunshine throughout their fundraising journey.
You’ll also support the development and delivery of our wider Challenge Events portfolio, helping us strengthen existing events, explore new opportunities and grow participation and income across a varied programme of third-party and supporter-led events. You’ll work closely with colleagues and supporters to ensure each event is well planned, well promoted and delivers a brilliant experience from sign-up through to event day and beyond.
Alongside this, you’ll support our wider Community Fundraising programme, building relationships with individuals, wish families, schools, groups and local organisations, and helping them make the most of their fundraising.

We’re looking for someone with experience in fundraising, events, supporter care, community engagement, customer service or another people-focused role.
You’ll be highly organised, confident communicating with a wide range of people and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Most importantly, you’ll genuinely care about giving supporters a fantastic experience and helping them feel connected to the difference their fundraising makes.
Experience in Community or Challenge Events fundraising, particularly the London Marathon or another large-scale event, would be an advantage.
