I am currently looking for an Interim HR Business Partner for my Not-for-profit client based in East London. The role will be for a period of 2 - 3 months initially, starting at the beginning of February 2026, paying a daily rate of £256.22 through an umbrella company. The role requires presence in the office at least 1 day per week and the remainder working remotely.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, your role support and guide managers with strategic issues and employee relations cases. The ideal candidate will be CIPD Qualified (level 5 and up) and have experience of: -
- managing ER casework, particularly complex cases
- being able to anticipate potential risks of ER issues and prevent ER claims
- remaining impartial and empathetic
- understanding EDI and how it can be embedded in all areas of work
- working within the Not-for-profit sector with an understanding of employment law, policy and procedures, and the ability to quickly pick up the values and individual business needs of the organisation
- building relationships quickly and finding outcomes that work for all parties and be customer centric
- working as part of a wider HR team and understanding how all elements work together
- taking on ad-hoc HR projects such as upgrading the HR system, preparation for the Employment Rights Bill changes, reward and recognition, new salary structures and consultations, change management

The Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme has been established to help the Church deliver its commitment to reaching its NZC goals. In this role, you will:

- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across institutional, philanthropic, and corporate markets.

- Work collaboratively with teams across SCUK and the international movement, ensuring strong internal alignment and representation of HLA in external forums.

To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Significant experience in institutional and/or philanthropic fundraising, with a proven track record of generating substantial income.
- Strong ability to build partnerships and develop compelling, fundable proposals with clear budgets and value propositions.
- Excellent account management skills with partners and donors across diverse sectors, including governments, institutions, private foundations and corporates such as the Clinton Foundation, Google, AWS, and ECHO, with particular experience in working with FCDO and other institutional donors.
- A solid understanding of the humanitarian system, including funding landscapes, trends, and opportunities.
- Experience managing complex bids and partnerships ideally in excess of £1 million or more.
- Resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt and maintain performance under pressure.
- The ability to work proactively, flexibly, and collaboratively in an emergent, people-centred, and agile environment.
- Excellent communication and representational skills, able to articulate strategic vision and influence senior stakeholders.

The Training and Development Associate will work closely with the UK Team across our core areas of research, communications, partnership, and client work. More in Common UK is a small team with a start-up culture where everyone is expected to execute a range of responsibilities, though the Training and Development Associate will focus on launching and making a success of More in Common’s new training arm.
We have initial funding to appoint a Training and Development Associate on a fixed-term (12-month) contract. However, subject to the success of the training programmes, their potential commercial viability and/or further funding, our hope would be to extend or make permanent the role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Considerable experience in delivering high-quality training programmes.

Experience in designing or updating training materials, particularly drawing on robust research.
