Join the National Institute of Teaching as Deputy Head of ECF Faculty and help shape high-quality, evidence-informed professional development that strengthens teacher and leader development across the education system. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced education professional to drive programme quality, build influential sector partnerships, and make a lasting impact on teaching and learning nationwide.

About Us

The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) has an unswerving commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed teacher education, and is on a mission to generate and synthesize research on professional development to improve the quality of teacher and leader development at NIoT and across the system.

About the Role  

The Deputy Head of ECF Faculty plays a key role in helping NIoT deliver high-quality, evidence-informed professional development programmes. Working closely with the Head of ECF Faculty, this role supports the design, implementation and continuous improvement of programmes, ensures research and sector insight shape delivery, and builds strong relationships with partners across the education sector. The role also helps maintain quality standards, supports recruitment and retention, and contributes to consistent, excellent delivery that advances NIoT’s mission to improve teacher and leader development.
