We are a UK registered youth development charity that uses teaching and learning to skateboard in a structured and supportive environment as a platform to develop the skills and abilities of children and young people.

The Role: Chapter Leader

As a Chapter Leader with the Skateboarding Foundation (SF), your role is to set up and run a Local Chapter that gives young people access to skateboarding and life skills through the SF ‘Eduskate’ programme.

Training, materials, resources, equipment and ongoing support, advice and guidance will be provided.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

• Setting up and running the chapter
• Recruiting coaches
• Recruiting learners
• Coordinating the delivery of the coaching programme
• Raising funds and spreading the word
• Helping us monitor and evaluate the programme
• Giving three/four hours a month of your time

You’ll have overall responsibility for the chapter’s activities, compliance, and smooth running. You’ll provide direction and support to your chapter committee, chair meetings, and ensure volunteers, coaching programmes, and fundraising are well managed.

The role involves motivating the team, planning chapter development, and stepping in where needed to keep things on track. You’ll also liaise with the national Board of Trustees, keeping them informed of key decisions and changes. 

Strong leadership, organisation, and a passion for youth development (and ideally skateboarding) and the charity’s mission are essential.

York Minster Fund Limited (YMFL), the corporate trustee of York Minster Fund, is currently looking for new volunteer directors to join our board. Founded in 1967 by The Earl of Scarbrough, today the Fund is York Minster’s lead fundraiser, raising £1-2M each year to for restoration and conservation of the fabric of the cathedral, alongside supporting education and music. It is an exciting time for the Fund, 2027 will see the Minster celebrating 1400 years since its founding and our 60th birthday.

Directors help set the strategy for the Fund and oversee governance, finances and operations. The main board meet 6 times a year, with sub committees such as Finance and Governance meeting quarterly. Alongside acting as a critical friend to the Fund’s manager, you will represent us at a range of events and champion the charity and its work within your networks.

General experience as a trustee or at board level is an advantage, although full induction and development can be offered to support the right candidates. We especially seek applicants with experience in digital marketing and giving, heritage focused grant making trusts, alongside general fundraising knowledge.

Appointments are made for a 4 year term, with the option to serve another 4 years.

The chair will:

• Chair trustee board meetings and the AGM.

• Ensure compliance with Hidayah’s constitution, policies, and governance procedures.

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Reducing the Risk is an Oxfordshire-based charity. We work locally, regionally and nationally to empower professionals, volunteers and communities who support survivors of domestic abuse.

We are seeking a Company Secretary to join our Board and help support the safety of adults and children at risk of domestic abuse.

What will you be doing?

As well as fulfilling the duties of a Trustee, the Company Secretary involves a number of administrative duties to support the Board.

You will support the Chair and Board of Trustees to ensure compliance with charity and regulatory requirements, while helping maintain effective governance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with the Chair and Trustees in arranging meetings, agendas and papers, taking minutes and administration of meetings and record keeping.
• Ensure the Board is aware of its responsibilities in respect of the legal and regulatory requirements of governing documents, charity law, company law, etc.
• Manage and facilitate the induction and training of new Trustees.
• Coordinate and organise other meetings as required, such as AGMs and EGMs.
• Ensure compliance with charity regulations and governance standards.
• Maintaining the register of members, Trustees, directors, and secretaries.
• Preparing and filing annual returns and other statutory documents with Companies House (and the relevant charity regulator).

Time Commitment & Location

Hybrid working available. When the Board meet in person we meet in Barton, Oxford. Average time commitment is 2 days a month. Which includes: Quarterly Board meetings, pre meeting a week before, AGM once a year.

What are we looking for?

• Previous Company Secretary experience is desirable.
• Excellent written skills with an eye for detail.
• An understanding of the charity sector and its governance.
• Trustee experience or the willingness to gain an understanding of the relevant charity and company regulations.

As we grow, we need an experienced Operations Manager to help us run well behind the scenes — so everything on the frontline can keep delivering. This is a meaningful voluntary leadership role for someone with professional experience in operations, HR, or management who wants their skills to count for something real.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Oversight

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with organisational goals

Hidayah is a volunteer-led organisation supporting LGBTQ+ Muslims through community support, advocacy, education, and wellbeing initiatives.

The treasurer carries out Hidayah’s financial responsibilities, files reports, and presents regularly to the Board of Trustees. 

What do we specifically expect of this role?

• To take accountability for the bank account and to be an authorised signatory.

• To present financial updates at Trustee meetings and to devolve budgets where necessary.

• To ensure adherence to budgets.

• To present a predicted target and actual budget for the year.

• To work with the chair to give breakdowns of costings for fundraising bids and for events/activities/paid members of staff.

• To create the annual year-end financial report for the Charity Commission.

• To seek out revenue opportunities within the limits of Hidayah’s activities.

• To document how restricted and unrestricted funds are spent, including reports for grant funders.

• To approach organisations for donations and sponsorship opportunities.

• To increase revenue through public donations (online and actual) and to be proactive in doing this.

How much commitment is required?

This role requires a minimum commitment of 4–5 hours per week, with additional time required during busy periods or organisational activities. The following commitments are in place for all Hidayah Trustees:

• To be able to attend all Trustee meetings.

• To deliver a comprehensive report at each Board meeting with updates, completing actions in time;

• To aim to attend all other meetings as necessary, including the annual Strategy Day, annual General Meeting and (where geography permits) Hidayah events.

• To help to fundraise for and advertise any Hidayah events and fundraising drives.

• To be part of a communications group (via Discord) to keep up to date with Hidayah developments.

• To contribute to and to maintain the administration of our file-sharing system, Google Drive, so it is always up-to-date with clear records, templates, and forms.

• Line managing the finance assistant, including regular 121 meetings.

Burning Nights CRPS Support is seeking a passionate and creative Content Lead Volunteer to help shape and deliver engaging content that raises awareness of a rare chronic pain condition, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), supports those impacted and strengthens our charity’s voice across multiple platforms.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to guide and inspire a team of volunteer content writers, oversee content planning and development, and play a key role in delivering our communications strategy. From website articles and member publications to awareness campaigns and digital content, your work will help ensure that people living with CRPS, their families, healthcare professionals and supporters have access to high-quality, accurate and engaging information.

As a national charity supporting thousands of people affected by CRPS across the UK, we are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about making a real difference.

Key Tasks and Objectives

• Lead a team of content writer volunteers.
• Lead and co-ordinate internal projects, activities and campaigns that help build awareness of our organisation and its aims.
• Building, leading and inspiring the content team, ensuring goals are agreed and communicated to support the achievement of our overall aims and projects.
• Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice, and ideally optimised for search and user experience across channels, including our website, our members' magazine, and social media.
• Supporting the development of a communications strategy from the 3-year charity's strategy, focusing on the content section.
• The implementation of a functional content calendar
• Establishing workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and repurposing content
• Operate as the point of contact for content volunteers in the team.
• To also be an active part of the content team as a content writer.
• Identifying, initiating and leading on content projects which align to the strategy and realise our goals.
• Collaborate with the team
• To contribute to the Annual Report or other reporting documents.
• Protecting our charity brand identity, ensuring it is delivered consistently, both internally and externally.
• Promote the charity across all our channels and forms of communication.
• Ensure effective, regular communication to both internal and external audiences.
• Support the review of progress and effectiveness of the Communications Strategy on an annual basis.

Time expectation

Our fundraising events organisers usually spend two to three hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer.
