Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. Your expertise and experience could be vital to delivering our ground-breaking climate action and sustainability E-Save app. We're looking for UK-based people for a range of communications, marketing and multi-media roles.

What will you be doing?

You will join a team helping to launch and promote the E‑Save climate‑action app and improving its content and user experience. 

By supporting creative campaigns, you will also help the team raise the profile of Eco Centre, and support local outreach initiatives, volunteer recruitment and communications, and stakeholder engagement. 

Your work will help people discover and use the app to take practical climate action at home.

What are we looking for?

We are building a team with a range of skills and experience who can provide hands on help on regular basis and be responsive to changing needs.

We’re looking for volunteers with skills in writing, design, graphics video, social media, campaigning, web content, or marketing. Whether you’re experienced or building your portfolio, we welcome creative, proactive team players who can bring ideas, collaborate well, and help us communicate climate action in engaging and accessible ways.

Main purpose of role:

To take on the responsibilities of our direct social media output.

To support our communications and marketing work.

To help with creating content for our newsletters, social media, print media and other promotional material over time.

Main duties will include:

1. Create content to be attractive, informative and inclusive.

2. Post across Instagram, Blue Sky, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn to promote the organisation

3. Support designated team members to utilise social media to thank and engage our supporters, doners and funders.

4. Form key relationships with organisations and brands.

5. Create new ideas to make the best use of our social media to improve our engagement with the unpaid carers we support, and existing and potential volunteers.

6. Collaborating with other team members to contribute to and adhere to the wider communications strategy.

7. Maintain strict GDPR and confidentiality practices at all times.

8. Monitor and report on engagement rates of each post/platform to inform our messaging.

9. To carry out the above tasks in accordance with the policies and procedures of Carers Trust Hillingdon & Ealing. 

Person Specification

• A good understanding of the best practice for maximum social media engagement (i.e: best time of day to post, how to write comments and captions that will gain engagement) and a willingness to learn more about this.

• Strong communication skills

• Awareness of latest social media trends and etiquettes

• Enthusiastic, proactive and excited to take on their own project

• Creativity and Canva skills

Role Overview

We are looking for a London-based Volunteer Social Media Assistant to support our Social Media Manager in growing LIVN Global’s online presence.

This role will combine digital support with on-the-ground content creation, helping us capture real moments from our events, outreach, and community activities. You will play a key role in helping us increase awareness and build a stronger, more engaged community of supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Social Media Manager in planning and scheduling content
• Capture photo and video content at events, outreaches, and key moments across London
• Assist in creating engaging posts (reels, stories, captions, and graphics)
• Help maintain a consistent and compelling social media presence
• Engage with followers through comments and messages where appropriate
• Support campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and growing our community
• Identify content opportunities during live events and activities
• Assist with basic editing of photos and videos for social media use

Person Specification

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is based in or near London and able to attend events and activities in person
• Has an interest in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
• Has experience filming content on a smartphone or camera
• Is creative, proactive, and has a good eye for storytelling
• Has good written communication skills
• Is organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Aligns with the vision and values of LIVN Global
• Can commit at least 14 hours per week

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience editing short-form video content

Why we want you

As a community engagement volunteer you and your fellow branch members will create a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community to ensure that that our Armed Forces community know that SSAFA are here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.

This role is diverse and allows for you to focus on the areas that you have skills or interests in. The role has flexibility and can work around your other commitments.

Below are some examples of possible activities you can take on or be a part of as a SSAFA Community Engagement Volunteer.

What you will be doing

• Activity Organisers - Love planning? Help coordinate amazing events like charity dinners, carol concerts, and local fairs.
• Event Champions - Be the friendly face of SSAFA! Help at events, chat with visitors, sell merchandise, and spread the word about our work.

• Promoting SSAFA Services - Help provide a warm, welcoming presence at Veterans Breakfast clubs, cafes or hubs - offering information about SSAFA services and signposting as appropriate.
• SSAFA Storytellers -Deliver engaging talks to organisations and groups, sharing SSAFA’s incredible history and mission.
• Community Connectors - Collaborating with the Community Engagement Manager to establish a local network, promote SSAFA's services, and respond to community opportunities such as gardening projects.
• Fundraising Heroes - Whether it’s rallying local businesses, organising events, or getting creative with unique fundraising ideas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping SSAFA’s support going strong.
• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

The skills you need

• Be friendly and approachable.
• Confident to engage with the public, potential clients, volunteers and SSAFA colleagues face-to-face.
• Reliable attitude, staying connected with your Branch and/or Community Engagement Manager about your availability.
• Access to public transport or a car to get to events if necessary.
• Basic IT skills would be an advantage.

VOLUNTEER ROLE: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Help Bring the Story of the Lyonic Scots to Life

The Lyonic Scots are a modern Scottish cultural organisation inspired by the legacy of Robert “The Lyon” and the survivors of Culloden. We celebrate Scottish heritage, Highland identity, and the enduring spirit of courage, kinship, and belonging.

As our community grows internationally, we are looking for a talented Volunteer Graphic Designer to help shape the visual identity of the Clan and support our cultural projects, events, and heritage campaigns.

If you love Scotland, storytelling, and meaningful design, this is a role where your creativity truly matters.

About the Role

As a volunteer Graphic Designer, you will help create visual materials that represent our cultural organisation of the Lyonic Scots. Your work will appear across our social media, membership campaigns, ceremonial announcements, and cultural initiatives, and our upcoming website.

This role is flexible, remote‑friendly, and ideal for someone who wants to build their portfolio while contributing to a unique cultural movement.

What You’ll Design

You may help create:

• Logos.

• Social media graphics for heritage campaigns and clan announcements.

• Posters and digital flyers for events and gatherings.

• Ceremonial and heritage‑themed visuals.

• Membership materials and promotional assets.

• Banners, headers, and branded templates.

• Occasional print‑ready materials for cultural projects.

Your designs will help us share our story with Scots and friends of Scotland around the world.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have experience with Canva, Adobe, Affinity, or similar tools.

• Enjoy designing with heritage, symbolism, or storytelling in mind.

• Can work collaboratively with our creative director.

• Are reliable, organised, and able to meet light deadlines.

• Want to contribute to a cultural organisation with a strong identity.

You do not need to be Scottish — only passionate about culture, creativity, and community.
