We're seeking a financially-minded leader to join our board and guide our organization's financial health as we grow. This role combines financial stewardship with strategic thinking, helping ensure we have the resources and stability to expand our impact for animals, families, and communities worldwide.

Your Core Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
Present clear, accurate financial updates to the full board
Guide the annual budget process and monitor organizational spending
Lead audit preparations and ensure strong financial controls
Oversee how we manage reserves and any investment activities
Offer strategic input on major financial decisions
Board Governance
Participate in evaluating and supporting our Executive Director
Help navigate complex legal or ethical questions facing the organization
Ensure we remain aligned with our charitable mission and legal obligations
Act as an ambassador, opening doors to partnerships and visibility
Contribute to fundraising conversations and donor relationship building
Provide perspective on organizational strategy and long-term direction

Supporter Engagement Officer
At TVS we’re devoted to empowering vulnerable young people through education. We aim to unlock potential and shape a brighter future for young people living in poverty. We are recruiting a team of volunteers and are searching for dedicated individuals to help us to strengthen the bonds between our organisation and the incredible people who support our work with rural children in South Africa.
As a Supporter Engagement Officer you would have responsibility for one or more of the following:
Stewardship: Thanking donors and demonstrating the impact of their gifts.
Communication: Reaching out to supporters via phone, email, and social media.
Database Management: Updating supporter records and preferences.
Enquiries: Answering questions about donations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

About Talkthru
Talkthru is a specialist counselling charity based in Huddersfield, offering free, confidential support to individuals and families affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and other birth-related trauma.
Our Board of Trustees oversees Talkthru’s strategic direction, governance, and financial health, ensuring that we remain sustainable, ethical, and effective. This is where you come in.
Role Purpose
As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the governance and strategic leadership of Talkthru. Trustees ensure that the charity fulfils its mission, operates lawfully and ethically, and maintains the trust of clients, donors, and the wider community.
We are particularly keen to welcome a Trustee with a legal background to strengthen the Board’s expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management. This person will help ensure the charity’s operations, policies, and services comply with relevant laws, including charity law, counselling practice standards, safeguarding, and data protection.
