Summary of Role: As Director of Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships, you will play a crucial role in expanding Solution Community’s network of corporate allies. You’ll spearhead efforts to develop and nurture relationships with corporate entities that align with our mission and vision. In this role, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, cultivate sponsorship opportunities, and create innovative collaboration models that benefit our organization and our partners - including opportunities re: the development of corporate volunteer teams that build true partnerships with Solution and through our platform.

What Will You Do?

• Develop and Execute Strategy: Formulate a corporate partnership and sponsorship strategy that aligns with Solution Community’s mission and goals.
• Cooperate with the Chief Development Officer: Work together to ensure the "Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships" direction executes the strategy on time.
•  Work in a close relationship with the Grants & Foundations team and overall Growth team (fundraising and marketing): identifying opportunities that may overlap their roles and working in tandem to support Solution’s fundraising efforts
• Identify and Engage Prospects: Conduct outreach and engage with corporations and industry leaders who share a commitment to social impact, targeting partnerships that foster mutual growth.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate, maintain, and deepen relationships with new and existing partners while consistently exploring ways to expand our network.
• Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling partnership proposals that demonstrate the value and impact of Solution Community’s work.
• Sponsorship Program Development: Establish a sponsorship program with clear sponsor benefits and a structured path to involvement in our initiatives.
•  Impact Reporting: Measure and report on the impact of corporate partnerships and sponsorships, ensuring alignment with our mission and growth objectives.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all partnerships align with Solution Community’s brand values, culture, and objectives, strengthening our reputation within the corporate sector

• Experience in Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships: 5+ years of experience in corporate partnership management, sponsorship acquisition, or a related field.

You will play a key role in helping Plateful Café develop relationships with local and national businesses, generating support through corporate donations, sponsorship, employee volunteering, catering contracts, and long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Engagement

• Identify and research prospective corporate partners aligned with Plateful Café's mission.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential supporters and business contacts.
• Introduce Plateful Café to local businesses, corporate foundations, and employers.
• Arrange introductory meetings and networking opportunities.
• Support the development of corporate partnership proposals and presentations.

Income Generation

• Help secure financial donations, sponsorships, and in-kind support.
• Identify opportunities for corporate grant funding and charitable giving programmes.
• Promote employee fundraising opportunities and workplace giving schemes.
• Explore sponsorship opportunities for training programmes, events, and community activities.

Catering and Enterprise Development

• Promote Plateful Café's corporate catering services to local businesses.
• Identify opportunities for meetings, events, lunches, conferences, and hospitality catering.
• Support the development of long-term catering relationships and repeat customers.
• Help position Plateful Café as a preferred socially responsible catering supplier.

Employee Volunteering and Skills Sharing

• Develop opportunities for corporate volunteering.
• Encourage businesses to provide mentoring, employability support, and workplace visits for our trainees.
• Build relationships that create pathways into employment for refugees completing our training programmes.

Strategic Support

• Provide advice on corporate engagement and relationship management.
• Help strengthen our corporate partnership strategy.

You’ll help sort and prepare donations from well-known retail brands, supporting sustainable fashion while raising vital funds to tackle unfit housing and homelessness. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in garment handling and warehouse operations, perfect for anyone interested in fashion, retail, or behind-the-scenes logistics. 

We can’t make the most of donated clothing without people to help us sort and prepare it with care. If you’d like to be part of that, we’d love to hear from you

Shop volunteering helps fight the housing emergency by raising vital funds that enable Shelter to provide advice and support for people who are experiencing bad housing and homelessness, as well as powering us to campaign for change.

Victory Afghanistan has grown enormously over the past year. We now support more than 1,800 Afghan girls and women through education, mentorship, higher education, internships and employment opportunities.

We are doing really well in developing these opportunities, but we have reached a bottleneck: we need funding to make more of them possible.

We are therefore looking for volunteers in the UK with any fundraising experience who might be willing to give us some of their time.

Because Victory Afghanistan is a US-registered 501(c)(3), we are not currently looking for people to write UK grant applications. Instead, we particularly need help with:

•  Approaching companies and their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) teams
• Developing corporate partnerships and sponsorship
•  Identifying and approaching potential donors
• Making connections with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists
•  Helping us build relationships with people and organisations that may be able to support our work

We realise this is a big ask. We are completely volunteer-led and currently unfunded, but we have built something substantial and are now at the stage where funding could make an enormous practical difference.

We need money for laptops and internet connectivity, English language tests, support for students going to university, our Afghanistan-based team and the programmes that prepare our students for higher education and employment.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in Lewisham. At the Rainbow Club Saturday Supplementary School we aim to help children between the ages of 4 and 11 to improve their literacy, numeracy and social skills in a friendly and supportive environment.  We need your skills and enthusiasm to assist the teacher in the delivery of a literacy and numeracy class and work with other volunteers to develop a programme of recreational activities. The Rainbow Club runs on Saturday mornings during term-time.

Your duties will include:

• Arriving punctually for the 9am briefing by the Rainbow Club Headteacher;
• Working in a team with other volunteers and teachers to deliver literacy, numeracy, arts, sport activities – this includes ensuring children remain engaged throughout the lesson and carry out set tasks as instructed by the teacher;
• Working one-to-one with specific children if and when required;
• Filing classroom work and homework in children’s individual files and keeping all materials and resources tidy and properly stored;
• Liaising with parents as and when required for example distributing leaflets and news about future meetings and events and also assisting with parents' day;
• Following the teacher’s policies on discipline and classroom management;
• Supervising the children during break times;
• Supporting the children during class trips;
• Ensuring classrooms are clean and tidy at the end of each day – this may include being part of a regular team rota;
• Providing feedback and comments to the Rainbow Club Headteacher when required.

We're looking for Initial Contact Advisers across our offices in South West Surrey: Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Haslemere. 

What will you do?
● complete an introduction to Citizens Advice and training for your role
● talk to clients over the phone, face to face, or online to explore whatproblems they’ve come for help with
● assess clients capacity and the level of help they need, to decide nextsteps
● find information about the clients’ problems and help them to understandtheir options
● identify when a client needs more in depth help than you can give at initialcontact, and make an appointment for them to come back
● write a summary of the clients’ problems and what action you’ve taken
● look out for problems’ that are common, or are unfair, and write a shortreport about the problem or a letter to an elected official like an MP, AMor local councillor.

Some examples of what you could do:
● help a client with rent arrears find how to get help with their rent, andtake the first steps to secure their housing
● help someone with debts work out a reasonable amount to pay back, andmake a phonecall to an organisation they owe money to.
● explore what benefits a client is entitled to and to take the first steps inmaking a benefit claim.

Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!
 

You can expect us to

• make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours

• provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you

• help set up and/or man stalls at events
• help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections
• help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances
• promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

About the role

We are currently advertising for a Chair of Medaille Trust. The Chair will ensure the Charity is well-managed and governed, strategically focused, legally compliant, and accountable, whilst also supporting the board and management to achieve the Charity’s mission.

Key responsibilities:

• Leadership and Governance: The chairperson leads the board of trustees and line manages the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring that the Charity operates in line with its governing document, legal requirements, and charitable objectives. They help the board focus on strategic matters rather than day-to-day operations while maintaining oversight.

• Strategic Oversight: The chair ensures the board has regular access to information from the CEO and other key staff, to enable it to make key strategic decisions in the Charity’s best interests, including financial planning, resource management, and long-term goal setting. They help the board distinguish between operational issues and governance matters, keeping the focus on the bigger picture while ensuring they are aware of any risks or complaints the Trust and its management may face.

• Board Coordination and Development: The chair coordinates board activities, works with the secretary to set agendas, chairs meetings, and fosters a positive board culture. They lead trustee recruitment, succession planning, and ensure the board has the necessary skills and diversity to function effectively.

• Policy and Compliance: The chair ensures that appropriate policies and procedures are in place, that the Charity complies with relevant laws, and that reporting and accountability mechanisms are followed. They oversee delegations of authority to staff or committees and ensure these are documented and regularly reviewed.

• Representation and Advocacy: Acting as a figurehead, the chair represents the Charity externally, communicates with religious and other partners, and may on occasion, act as a spokesperson for the organisation.

• Support and Liaison: The chair often serves as a link between the board and the Charity’s CEO, setting objectives, holding regular meetings, questioning, conducting appraisals and providing guidance and support while respecting operational boundaries.

• Safeguarding: The Trust will respond to all safeguarding concerns or allegations that come to its attention. It does this through the implementation of its policies, practices and code of conduct. The Trustees are committed to ensuring this commitment is and remains at the centre of all the Trust’s work.

Location: Board meetings are held in London and occasional visits to Safe Houses across England

Time Commitment: Four Board meetings per year, regular meetings with the CEO, occasional 1:1 meetings with individual Trustees and representing the Charity at various events

Medaille Trust is one of the leading providers of support to survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. We are working to provide refuge and freedom for survivors and fighting to see slavery in all its forms become a thing of the past. The need for this work has never been higher, there are more than 50 million estimated victims of modern slavery worldwide, and over 120,000 potential victims in the UK. We operate ten safe houses and five outreach hubs, staffed round the clock by specialist staff, working with more than 600 men, women and dependent children each year. We work to raise awareness in the UK and to provide preventive work in source countries. Our “Pursue Work” helps survivors to engage with police and within the legal system to seek justice and to secure convictions against their perpetrators.

Historical Information

Medaille Trust was started by a member of the congregation of the Sisters of St Joseph of Annecy in 2006 with the support of Catholic Religious Congregations across the country. Sr. Ann Teresa’s vision and that of the Catholic Religious congregations remain key to our identity.
