Our programmes are the engine of that transformation — and now we’re seeking a Head of Programmes to guide, shape, and elevate them.

As Head of Programmes, you will oversee the development, delivery, and evolution of the programmes that make this impact possible. Your leadership will ensure that every man who joins MINDSET encounters something meaningful, structured, and genuinely life‑changing.

This is a founding leadership role — you will help define the programme identity of MINDSET for years to come.

What You’ll Lead

As our Head of Programmes, you will:

• Oversee all MINDSET programmes, ensuring quality, consistency, and impact

• Manage and support programme leads, facilitators, and volunteers

• Shape the structure, flow, and delivery of our flagship programmes, including:

  • The 12‑week Self‑Improvement Programme

  • The Life Coaching Programme

  • Future activity‑based wellbeing programmes and national challenges

• Develop simple, effective systems for programme delivery and evaluation

• Ensure programmes remain safe, inclusive, and aligned with MINDSET’s mission

• Innovate new programme ideas that help men grow, connect, and thrive

• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to scale programmes nationally

This role is remote, flexible, and ideal for someone who wants to make a deep, lasting impact in just a few hours each week.

The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising events organisers have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help cats. Our fundraising events organisers use their passion for cats and people to plan cake sales, barn dances, quiz nights and everything in between.

What we need from you

You'll be:

• planning fundraising events and activities like cake sales, quiz nights and barn dances
• providing the treasurer with information on funds raised from fundraising events
• encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 
• following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising events organisers usually spend two to three hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer.

The Admin Assistant role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to:

The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing organisation of meetings and appointment
• Organising events and conferences
• Managing databases
• Implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems
• Liaising with staff
• Miscellaneous tasks to support the team.

General tasks

• Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

Essential:

• You will need to have good written skills.
• Well organised, proactive, and able to deliver tasks efficiently.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK and QMC Capoeira School runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.

We look forward to welcoming current Witness Service staff and volunteers to Victim Support — and we’re also now beginning recruitment for several new roles and to fill vacant positions.  

The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales — both for the prosecution and the defence.  

Our trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence.   

The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, and friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.   

This is an exceptional opportunity to help us ensure a smooth transition and shape a high-quality, high-impact and trauma-informed service — so every witness feels informed, supported and more confident in court.  

Witness Service Volunteers provide support to victims and witnesses of crime prior to and during the court process helping them to feel safe and informed.

• Undertake an enhanced DBS check & be part of the DBS update service.

• Be able to provide two satisfactory references. 

• Have an active email address that you are comfortable using in order to engage with VS communications.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (NYBBGB) is seeking a Volunteer Music Librarian to support the management and development of the organisation’s music library.

This is an important supporting role helping ensure music is available, organised, and prepared for residential courses and performances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cataloguing and organisation of the music library
• Support preparation of music for courses and concerts
• Maintain library systems and processes
• Work with artistic and administrative staff
• Advise on development and long-term management of the collection

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong organisational skills
• Has experience of music libraries, ensembles, or education (desirable but not essential)
• Is comfortable working with cataloguing or database systems
• Has an interest in youth music and brass band repertoire
• Can work collaboratively with staff and volunteers

Time Commitment

Flexible, with activity typically focused around:

• Preparation ahead of courses
• Occasional attendance at courses or concerts (desirable but not essential)

This volunteering role is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of the HR programme, ensuring seamless coordination between participants, Heads of Department (HoDs), and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional organizational skills with a passion for fostering professional growth, ensuring participants remain engaged and supported throughout their development journey.

Key Responsibilities of the sucessful volunteer:

Programme Management

• Oversee the effective implementation of the HR programme, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Welcome participants to the programme, providing orientation materials and clarifying expectations.

Participant Support & Progress Tracking

• Conduct initial skills assessments to identify individual development needs.
• Monitor and document participant progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings between participants and their respective Heads of Department (HoDs).

Coordination & Communication

• Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling sessions, sending reminders, and maintaining programme documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.

Engagement & Feedback

• Design and organise feedback sessions to gather insights from participants and HoDs, using data to refine the programme.
• Develop strategies to ensure active engagement (e.g., interactive workshops, milestone celebrations).

Reporting

• Prepare progress reports for senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Required Skills of a successful volunteer:

• Keen Eye for Detail: Ability to manage complex schedules, track progress meticulously, and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to liaise effectively with participants, HoDs, and stakeholders.

Preferred but not essential:

• Experience in coordinating professional development programmes or similar initiatives.

As an External Trustee, you will play a key role in setting and monitoring Durham SU’s strategy, providing financial oversight, managing risk, and ensuring the organisation remains fit for purpose. The Board meets five times per year, with trustees also invited to engage in other opportunities such as sitting on an appointments panel, meeting with auditors or attending a student awards ceremony 

Durham SU is keen to hear from individuals who are curious, genuine and enthusiastic about Durham SU doing well. They are particularly interested in candidates who bring knowledge of the Higher Education sector or Students' Unions, and experience in political, corporate or financial settings.

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career development professional to build hands-on experience in community fundraising and operational support. Based in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin, the Junior Fundraising and Operational Support Officer will play a key role in strengthening SEED’s community fundraising and supporting crowdfunding campaigns.

A core part of the role will be providing exceptional care to SEED’s community fundraisers, incoming staff and volunteers ensuring timely and professional communication. The postholder will lead volunteer and staff onboarding, supporting smooth and well-prepared arrivals in country, enhance communications and digital content, and assist with operational systems that underpin SEED’s work. 

The role will build strong relationships with schools, workplaces, running clubs, and community organisations in donor countries, supporting them to raise vital funds and awareness for SEED’s work. This will include identifying and researching new fundraising opportunities, stewarding community fundraising activities (such as bake sales and seasonal campaigns), and supporting fundraisers and volunteers to use third-party platforms effectively. 

Working within a collaborative national and international team, this is an office-based role with occasional field visits with opportunities to gain experience across fundraising, operations, and the realities of working in international development practice in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment. 

Title: Junior Fundraising and Operational Support Officer

Location: Fort Dauphin, Madagascar

Commitment: 12 months; Monday to Friday (35 hours a week)

Salary: Voluntary position, with local monthly stipend towards accommodation and a contribution of £650 towards insurance

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the onboarding of new staff, ensuring timely and well-prepared arrivals in country

2. Act as the primary point of contact for onboarding queries, both prior to and after arrival

3. Onboard and support international volunteers, including in their roles as individual fundraisers

4. Develop engaging fundraising materials and messaging across digital platforms 

5. Collaborate with the Communications team to produce engaging volunteer scheme marketing content

6. Support the design and delivery of community fundraising campaigns to grow crowdfunding income

7. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all fundraising outputs

8. Develop and deliver training and resources to strengthen capacity among volunteers and staff

9. Build and strengthen relationships with institutions in donor countries to grow community fundraising and crowdfunding opportunities

10. Identify and pursue new partnerships, networks, and platforms to increase fundraising reach

11. Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, using insights to improve future campaigns

12. Support the Conservation Team in Sainte Luce with volunteer orientations and pastoral care as required

13. Provide pastoral care to international staff and volunteers, supporting wellbeing alongside line managers

14. Act as a point of contact for welfare concerns, responding in line with organisational policies

15. Take clear and accurate minutes during meetings, ensuring actions are tracked

16. Promote and uphold SEED’s policies, including safeguarding, whistleblowing, and anti-corruption

17. Undertake additional tasks as required to support wider organisational priorities

Required Skills & Experience/Person Specification 

• Hold an undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate a passion for this area

• Be able to work independently and be proactively

• Have good all-round computing skills and experience in Microsoft Office 

• Have previous experience working to deadlines, highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Communicate clearly and engagingly in written English across a range of media forms

• Communicate verbally to encompass the range of cultures you will be working with

• To have a good level of written English and be able to proofread documents to a high standard

• Be fluent in English. A working knowledge of French is desirable but not essential

• To have a proactive, creative approach to fundraising and problem-solving

• Ideally have previous experience living, working or travelling in a developing country, though is not essential

• Be capable and comfortable adapting to life in a low-income country context, sometimes with basic living conditions

• Be able to adjust to life in another culture and a foreign language and be able to always work with cultural sensitivity

• Be comfortable with campsite conditions whilst supporting the volunteers in the field for days at a time

• Be able to work and socialise within a small group of people and to be respectful and take personal responsibility for maintaining a good reputation for the NGO in the community

• Demonstrate the ability, social skills and confidence to give clear guidance and support to other members of the team in respect of the philosophy and procedures of SEED to protect both their safety and the reputation of the NGO.
