Volunteers are needed to assist in the sorting and pricing of goods donated to our charity shop. As well as keeping the shop tidy, rotating stock on a regular basis and serving our clients who use the shop.
There are a variety of activities available, and where we can, we will try to tailor the opportunity around you. We are open Monday to Saturday (9am - 5pm) with various times available to volunteer.
About the Role
Helping people in crisis begins at your local charity shop!
Here at the Women & Families Resource Centre, our team is bright and bubbly, and we love meeting people from all walks of life.
We want to make sure everyone that visits us has a great experience, and we never forget the contribution our little shop makes to helping those in crisis.
You will work closely with the Shop Manager, shop staff and volunteers, acting as the first point of contact for the shop in relation to matters of stock generation, stock transfer, collection and disposal.
OPERATIONAL TASKS
Typical tasks may include:
Receiving donations, registering and storing them safely.
Lifting, moving and sorting items according to guidelines.
Identifying items suitable for sale and recycling.

The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children.

Wolverhampton Baby Bank is a flagship project run by The Women & Families Resource Centre, a registered charity supporting families with children aged 0-3.
Through donated essentials and community engagement, we provide much-needed items such as:
• Essential supplies for babies and toddlers, including nappies, wipes, clothing, toys and bedding.
• Support services for new parents, including drop-in groups and befriending for pregnant women and new mothers.
• Referrals and resources to connect families with additional community services.
Scope and Span
The E-Commerce Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the online sales function of the Baby Bank, ensuring that high-quality donated items are identified, prepared, listed, and sold effectively to generate fundraising income.
This role manages E-Commerce Volunteers and ensures that listings are accurate, professional, and aligned with brand standards. The Team Lead also monitors performance, pricing strategy, and workflow efficiency.

As we prepare to launch The Lysene Cultural Foundation, we are seeking a dedicated, imaginative, and relationship‑driven volunteer Head of Fundraising to join our founding team and lead the development of the Foundation’s philanthropic strategy.
The Foundation exists to advance public understanding of Renaissance, Beaux‑Arts, and classical artistic traditions. We believe that beauty is a public good, something that enriches lives, strengthens communities, and connects us to our shared cultural heritage. Inspired by the artistic world of the Principality of Lys, the Foundation brings this vision to the public through exhibitions, educational programmes, research, and artistic support.
To bring this mission to life, we are seeking a fundraising leader who can help build the financial foundations that will sustain our work and allow classical beauty to flourish in the modern age.
About the Role
We are seeking a volunteer Head of Fundraising who will:
Lead the creation of the Foundation’s fundraising and development strategy.
Identify and pursue opportunities across grants, philanthropy, sponsorship, and partnerships.
Build and nurture relationships with donors, patrons, cultural institutions, and funding bodies.
Develop compelling cases for support that communicate the value of classical beauty as a public good.
Support the promotion of fundraising campaigns and public engagement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with trustees and advisors to ensure sustainable, diverse income streams.
Dedicate approximately 4–8 hours per month, with full flexibility around schedule and involvement.
Bring creativity, confidence, and a passion for connecting people with meaningful cultural work.
