Braver Together is an online therapeutic programme providing structured support for parents, partners, siblings and chosen family of those at risk of suicide.

Grounded in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), the programme equips participants with practical tools, coping strategies, and deeper understanding to navigate the emotional impact of supporting someone in crisis. [

The aim is to strengthen both individual wellbeing and the wider support system around those at risk of suicide.

By supporting Braver Together, you are helping to strengthen the wider network around individuals at risk of suicide, recognising that supporting loved ones is a critical part of long-term healing and prevention.

Purpose of the Role 

To support the delivery of the Braver Together programme by helping to create a safe, welcoming, and consistent therapeutic environment for participants, while contributing to engagement, accessibility, and community-building. 

Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring that those supporting loved ones feel heard, held, and connected, alongside professional therapeutic support. 

Key Responsibilities 

Supporting Delivery & Engagement 

• Assist with the smooth running of weekly online group sessions (e.g. welcoming participants, managing attendance, supporting logistics) 

• Help foster a warm, inclusive and non-judgemental space for participants 

• Support participant engagement before, during and after sessions 

• Support in creating and promoting community sessions

• Supporting with monitoring and evaluation processes 

Creating Safe & Supportive Spaces 

• Model Body & Soul values of empathy, compassion and respect 

• Be attentive to participant wellbeing and flag any concerns to staff appropriately 

Community & Relationship Building 

• Support the development of connection among participants

Boundaries of the Role 

• Volunteers do not provide therapeutic or clinical advice

Adults' social group

This friendship group for adults and older teenagers generally meets fortnightly (alternating with the Children's and Teenagers' groups) during term time on Tuesdays from 7.00 to 9.00pm Children's and Teenagers' social groups

The Children's and Teenagers' group generally meets fortnightly (alternating with the Adults' group) during term time on Tuesdays from 6.00 to 8.00pm

The Southampton volunteer Group Leader will be responsible for the co-ordination of the NAS South Hampshire branch’s adult and older teens social group and the children and teens social group.

What you will be doing

• Planning sessions, including activities and other ideas, and co-ordinating the other volunteers attending both groups,
• Welcoming the autistic children, young people and adults to each of the sessions
• Interacting with those attending, making sure that everyone can engage in the activities in a safe manner.
• Organising the setting up and clearing away before and after the club activity
• Keeping the branch chair informed of both group’s activities in the upcoming sessions and attending branch committee meetings
• Ensuring your branch complies with NAS policies including risk assessment, data protection and safeguarding.
• Any agreed expenses incurred will be reimbursed by the branch
• You will be supported in your role by the Branch Chair and former group leader.
• You will have access to a dedicated NAS email address for this role
• A criminal record check is a requirement of this role

A growing women’s empowerment social enterprise in Uganda is seeking a volunteer accountant to strengthen budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial systems.

The organisation supports over 300 women artisans, including single mothers, widows and teenage mothers, through vocational training and income generating opportunities linked to handmade crafts.

As international sales opportunities grow, the organisation wants to ensure its finance processes remain practical, sustainable and fit for purpose.

The volunteer will work with the Founder and Managing Director to review internal processes and controls, support effective use of Zoho Books, review the chart of accounts, improve budgeting and cashflow forecasting, develop simple management reporting tools and support audit preparation.

This would suit a hands on volunteer comfortable working closely with a small local team.

The monthly, evening autism support group is open to parents, carers and family members of autistic children and adults, autistic adults and professionals who work with autistic people, to meet to exchange experiences, skills and understanding. Guest speakers are occasionally invited.

It meets from 7.30pm with an opportunity to chat to other members, take refreshments and browse the branch information stand and library. The meeting itself, whether a discussion evening or a speaker presentation, will start by 8.00pm. The evening closes at 9.30pm.

The volunteer Autism Support Group Leader will be responsible for the co-ordination and running of the NAS South Hampshire Branch’s autism support group which takes place monthly on a Monday evening.

The organisation works with fishing communities, women and young people to support community based natural resource management, sustainable livelihoods and biodiversity conservation.

The finance team currently relies heavily on Excel and is planning to move to a more structured accounting platform.

The volunteer will work with the team to review budgeting and donor reporting templates, support the transition from Excel, improve reporting consistency, strengthen financial systems and controls, and provide practical mentoring.

This would suit a collaborative volunteer with experience in donor reporting, Excel, accounting systems and small NGO finance.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in L&D, instructional design, or leadership development, ideally within mission-driven or D&I-focused organisations, with hands-on experience using AI tools.
• Skills:
• Expertise in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Canva) and LMS platforms,.
• Strong facilitation and storytelling skills for remote and hybrid audiences.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to measure program impact.

Role Summary

Quilombo UK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Services Sales Specialist to join our team as a self-employed contractor. This is a crucial, target-driven, commission-only role focused on generating revenue by converting prospective service users into paying clients.The successful candidate will gain direct, high-impact sales experience that mirrors the standards and performance expectations of a paid sales position, with the added benefit of earning commission on all confirmed deals.

Compensation Structure

● Payment Basis: This is a commission-only, self-employed contractor position. There is no fixed salary or hourly wage. The specialist is responsible for invoicing Quilombo UK monthly for earned commission.

● Commission: Commission is earned per converted sale, payable only after the customer’s second monthly payment is successfully processed.

○ Standard £200 ePDP Sale: £25 commission

○ Subsidized £100 Sale: £10 commission

○ 2-Month Rolling Sale: £65 commission

● Payment Schedule: Commission earned is paid monthly, 30 days after receipt of the monthly invoice from the specialist, following the trigger (receipt of the customer's second payment) being confirmed.

Main Responsibilities

This is a target-driven, client-facing role responsible for the full sales cycle:

● Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify prospective clients aligned with Quilombo UK’s mission and services.

● Outreach & Pitching: Initiate direct outreach (calls, emails, online meetings) with clients directly.

● Closing Deals: Deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations, handle end-to-end sales processes, and secure contracts for services.

● Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a strong client pipeline, updating CRM or tracking systems regularly.

● Performance: Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to outreach, meetings, and revenue conversions.
