We’re looking for a Head of HR & Volunteering — a founding volunteer leader who can design our systems, shape our people experience, and build the volunteer-powered engine that makes Urban Youth unstoppable.

Job Description

We are looking for a Volunteer Paid Ads & Media Buyer to plan and manage ethical paid digital campaigns that support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and public awareness.

You will work with the Digital Marketing Director and Digital Marketing team to create ads that reach the right audiences while upholding trauma-informed, safeguarding, and ethical standards.

This role focuses on campaign planning, optimisation, and impact measurement rather than commercial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage paid digital campaigns across social media, search, and display platforms
• Create and optimise campaigns to support fundraising, volunteering, and public education
• Collaborate with designers and copywriters to produce ethical and compelling ad creatives
• Test and analyse audiences, messaging, and creatives to improve performance
• Track campaign metrics such as reach, conversions, and cost per action
• Ensure campaigns comply with safeguarding, data protection, and platform policies
• Document processes for transparency and learning
• Work with analysts and campaign teams to report on results and insights

What We’re Looking For

• Experience or interest in paid digital advertising and campaign management

Join Skills Development Training as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Free Basketball Sessions!

We're seeking a reliable Volunteer Assistant Coach for every Saturday, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at 1 Selby Road, White Hart Lane, London - Haringey N17 8JL. Support our free basketball training for boys and girls aged 11-18, helping them develop skills, make friends, and stay active in a fun, supportive environment!

What you'll do:

• Assist with drills, skill-building activities, and small-sided games during the full 2-hour sessions every Saturday.

Do you enjoy being outdoors and working with children? We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to support weekly allotment sessions with primary school children. No gardening experience is required — just a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and an interest in nature and supporting young people.

Job Description

You will assist lead gardeners during 1-hour weekly sessions with children, helping them take part in planting and other simple gardening activities. The role also includes 30 minutes before the session to help set up and 30 minutes after to help tidy and pack away.

A DBS check and safeguarding training are required, and we will cover the full cost. We value consistency so children can build trusted, positive relationships with volunteers. You are welcome to volunteer for more than 2 hours per week if you wish.

Job Requirements

• DBS check and safeguarding training (cost covered by the organisation)

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and comfortable working with children outdoors

• Able to work as part of a team, supporting both gardeners and children

• Commitment to a minimum of 2 hours per week (including set-up and pack-down time)

Make A Smile is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safeguarding Officer to help us ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children, families, and volunteers we support across the UK. If you have safeguarding experience and want to use your skills to make a meaningful impact, this role offers the chance to help shape safe, joyful experiences for vulnerable children.

About the Role

The Safeguarding Officer plays a central role in maintaining high safeguarding standards across all Make A Smile Chapters. You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager to deliver high‑quality safeguarding training to volunteers, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and feel confident when working with children.

You will also lead on maintaining and updating our safeguarding policies, liaising with relevant organisations to ensure they remain comprehensive, compliant, and aligned with current legislation. A key part of the role involves supporting local officers to ensure all volunteers have an up‑to‑date DBS check before attending events.

As the charity’s central point of safeguarding expertise, you will provide guidance on concerns, advise on escalation routes, and help embed a strong safeguarding culture throughout the organisation.

The Safeguarding Officer ensures Make A Smile can operate safely, responsibly, and confidently. Your leadership protects children, supports volunteers, and strengthens trust with families and partners. By maintaining robust safeguarding processes, you enable us to continue delivering magical, meaningful experiences to vulnerable children across the UK.

Trustee

Hours: Minimum commitment is attendance and preparation for four Board meetings each year (some of which will be in the daytime). Trustees are encouraged to also commit to joining one of the sub-committees or time-limited working groups.

Duration: 3-year terms up to a maximum of 9 years which may be extended subject to Board approval. 

Location: Cambridge (Board meetings usually take place in Cambridge but can be attended in person or online).

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed, and adjustments can be made to support participation.

These event will be for disabled children, young people and their families to come along and and enjoy a fun filled sensory extravaganza. And we need extra peopel to support our team to make it all work. We will be running at least 3 Merry Moments events 2 in Windsor and 1 in Wokingham.

SNAAP support families who have children with any special need or disability living in the Canterbury District. We provide a wide range of leisure activities to disabled children and information and support to their parents and carers. At the heart of SNAAP lies our fundamental belief in informed parental choice, empowering parents to access the very best services and support to ensure that their children achieve their goals in life.

Volunteers often bring a wide range of skills and experience gained in home, work and previous volunteering settings and SNAAP relies heavily on them for all of its services and has many committed volunteers working on a regular basis.

Our partner is a small Suffolk based charity working to create a Creative Youth Hub, Nursery and Playscape for children and young people in the local area, following the loss of the former youth centre.

The Treasurer will hold the Board to account for the charity’s finances and help maintain a clear and transparent financial framework. Working closely with fellow Trustees and the wider team, you will oversee budgeting and reporting, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support financial planning as the project develops. The role will involve managing multiple income streams, including grants and donations.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or experienced finance professional with strong financial management skills and the confidence to advise fellow Trustees. Experience of charity finance and governance would be helpful but is not essential.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a community led capital project with significant local impact. The role is expected to require around 1 to 3 hours per week initially, increasing as the project moves forward, with attendance at regular Board meetings either in person or via Zoom.

This role works closely with the Digital Marketing Director and Marketing team to ensure digital systems are secure, ethical, and effective.

The role focuses on marketing automation, workflow design, and improving supporter experience.

• Design and maintain automated workflows connecting email, forms, CRM, and campaigns
• Build supporter journeys for volunteering, fundraising, membership, and engagement
• Develop logic-based workflows (triggers, segmentation, conditional pathways)
• Integrate digital platforms and ensure smooth, GDPR-compliant operations
• Monitor performance, optimise systems, and document processes clearly
• Work with campaign teams and copywriters to align messaging and automation
• Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and flag potential risks
