Principle Accountabilities
- Notify DWP and complete all paperwork for people supported.
- Cover all legal requirements of appointeeship as stated by DWP.
- Manage appointee sub bank accounts for people supported within a locality.
- Receive and manage all social security benefits and other income for people supported within a locality.
- Reconcile sub bank accounts for people supported within a locality.
- Provide visible access to bank statements when required.
- Up load money onto individual pre-payment cards.
- Monitor balances on pre-payment cards within a locality.
- BACS / Cheque payment runs.
- Set up and monitor direct debits / standing orders on sub accounts within a locality.
- Jointly agree personal budget plans for people supported with operational staff.
- Jointly authorise additional expenditure request for people supported.
- Scan and upload benefit letters and responses onto operation management information system.
- Finance audits as and when required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- GCSE or A Level education, literacy and numeracy skills

The Health Link Worker will:
- Provide information for and about carers and young carers to GP practices and health and social care teams.
- Assist in maintaining carers’ information boards in GP practices and at other health and social care locations.
- Continue to promote good practice guidance and steer relevant personnel at GP practices and other health settings through the guidance framework.
- Provide presentations, training and talks to health and social care staff on carers needs and include all aspects of caring within the awareness raising.

About IKWRO
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.
IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.
As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.
We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.
Job Summary
The post-holder will help Farsi speaking women who have experienced Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and “Honour” Based Violence. Working in a confidential setting, counsellors listen attentively to their clients and offer them the time, empathy and respect they need to express their own feelings, to help them overcome their problems and to make appropriate changes to their life.
The post holder must be BACP or UKCP accredited (or equivalent e.g. HCPC) or training to achieve these accreditation
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients;
- To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions; making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
- Develops treatment and guidance methods and give guidance using a variety of therapy and counselling techniques;
- To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of clients’ mental health problems based on an appropriate multi-factorial understanding of the client’s problems and current evidence-based best practice, taking into account the current NICE guidelines.

- Embed changes to our core service that make it more accessible and responsive to those communities.

Caseworker Role (OISC Level 1, 2 and 3)
About us
The Refugee and Migrant Centre (RMC) is an established, multi award winning charity that provides a safe, welcoming environment to thousands of refugees and migrants living in the Black Country and Birmingham.
Our highly skilled and diverse staff team provide a broad range of services including advice and support on immigration (OISC regulated level 1, 2 & 3), employment, welfare, education, ESOL, housing, homelessness, destitution, citizenship, health and wellbeing.
RMC have been assisting beneficiaries to access and sustain appropriate accommodation and improve their housing and living conditions for nearly two decades. RMC also deals with many aspects of homelessness, destitution, rough sleeping, exploitation, etc.

What you will be doing
All Caseworkers (Levels 1,2 and 3) will be required to carry out the tasks shown below. The skill level to progress from one level to the next level is also detailed below.
· To provide professional and effective OISC regulated casework as well as advice, guidance and support to a broad range of RMC’s service users.
· To assist/support the team and the management to meet the needs of the beneficiaries and achieve targets.
· To support and supervise colleagues on a lower level of OISC regulation and designated volunteers.
· To deliver presentations and represent RMC at meetings/events when required by management.

Working within the team
· To ensure the requirements of OISC are respected and met during the delivery of immigration-related advice and casework.
· To assist the senior colleagues and managers in order to drive efficiency, quality, systems improvement and target achievement.
· To supervise and/or manage colleagues on a lower level of OISC-regulation and designated volunteers.
Casework and advice
· To offer advice & casework to service users with various aspects related to their immigration case.
· To deliver the appropriate level of casework either independently or under supervision, depending on the level of OISC registration.
· To provide appropriate support and mentoring to any caseworkers and/or advisors that are under this role’s supervision.
· To maintain confidentiality in all dealings with service users and ensure their needs are met in a satisfactory and sensitive manner.
Other
· To be responsible for the day to day delivery of specific projects if requested by the Senior Management Team–this is flexible and could change depending on the nature of funding.

Flexibility

Job Purpose
This role sits within our new Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.
This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.
The Men’s Minds Project Coordinator will work closely with the members in shaping the service and ensuring voices of men in Hounslow are heard and acted upon. This service will be staffed with 1 part-time (25hrs per week) Project Coordinator and a pool of peer led volunteers. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the volunteers.

The Role
The role of the Men’s Minds Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, and peer-led workshops which will be delivered weekly. With the addition of attending various community and stakeholder events to deliver the outreach strand of the service.
The role will require hybrid and flexible working: onsite for all the peer/psychoeducation sessions but the with expectation to be attending various community events and services to promote the service.

- Minimum of 1 year working in mental health services and with clients experiencing mental health distress

StreetLink London is a bespoke assessment and response telephone service for people who are rough sleeping in London, supported by volunteers. Building on St Mungo’s extensive experience of supporting people sleeping rough through a range of face-to-face services, this innovative service aims to reduce the incidences of subsequent rough sleeping amongst people who have not slept rough before and increase the speed with which those who have a history of rough sleeping can access support and accommodation.
As an Assessment and Response Worker you will:

Answer phone calls from people experiencing homelessness in London and deliver a high quality of customer service

Triage online referrals from the website and the app, to connect people who are rough sleeping with local outreach teams as quickly as possible.

Carry out comprehensive telephone assessments, identifying immediate options for accommodation and support while confidently responding to emergency situations and safeguarding concerns.

Advocate on behalf of people with relevant statutory and non-statutory services to ensure clients can access the support and accommodation they are entitled to as quickly as possible.

Head of Wellbeing and Grants – The Solicitors’ Charity
We’re looking for a Head of Wellbeing and Grants to provide collaborative leadership to the Wellbeing and Grants Team and its operations, which are the centre of the Charity’s core charitable activities. As well as running a personal caseload, you’ll work with the team to develop a systematic approach/methodology to case management practice and review, rooted in case management best practice.
Salary c£56,500 to c£63,500 rising to c£57,500 to £64,500 after a 6-month probationary period. The point on these salary ranges at which you will be paid is dependent on your location.
Flexible working arrangements are possible, including homeworking with occasional attendance in person at meetings, largely in central London. Most staff work from home, though we also have an office in southwest London (SW12).
The Head of Wellbeing and Grants role
We have recently agreed our strategy for 2024-2026 and one of the focus areas will be, with the CEO and others, to ensure the successful implementation of the 3-year Strategy, focussing on the Wellbeing and Grants aspects of the strategic aims.
As holder of this senior role, you will lead in collaboratively designing and implementing a consistent methodology for, and systematic approach to, new and existing clients contacting the Charity. You’ll also ensure that the tools and technology used to do this are in place, used consistently and reviewed regularly. As well as management oversight of the Wellbeing and Grants Team, you will also hold a personal caseload and be expected to support Case Managers with particularly challenging cases.
We’re looking for someone with at least 10 years’ experience in casework practice in a client support or advice setting dealing with conversations with people with complex needs and sometimes in distress. And with at least 3-5 years’ experience in leading/managing a client support function like casework or grants/awards team.
Other key demonstrable skills and experience include having completed other relevant qualifications/training and courses in the sphere of advice and support work e.g. counselling, case management practice, therapeutic approaches et al.

About the Role
We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our art studio team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre in Haggerston.
You will take responsibility for organising and delivering activities in the Submit to Love art studio, such as supporting members in creating new artworks, planning and delivering events and outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to their needs and interests.
The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 12 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Activities in the art studio:
- Support members to engage creatively and develop their personal artistic practise.
- Work alongside the studio manager, day service members and volunteers to plan and deliver events, including artist led workshops, exhibitions and open studios.
- Plan trips to cultural events and experiences.
Key working:
- Act as key worker for up to 16 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk assessments.
Day Service co-ordination:
- Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
- Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
- Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the volunteer co-ordinator to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.

As a Dementia Adviser, you will provide person-centred and outcomes focused information, advice and support services to people affected by dementia and memory loss symptoms in Darlington.
