Mortlake Community Association is looking for an experienced Interim Director to join a vibrant and inclusive local charity in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The main purpose of the role is to maintain our growing profile as a community hub and support our range of varied activities. Experience of working with service users and volunteers in a local community setting is essential. The post is offered on a fixed term 9 month contract, starting in May 2026 to align with our Director’s maternity leave.

The Interim Director is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity and Mortlake Hall, including staff leadership and supervision, financial management, fundraising, partnership working, building management, and monitoring and evaluation. The role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills to ensure MCA remains at the heart of community life in Mortlake; recognised as a model of good practice within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Key Accountabilities:
Work with the Board of Trustees to implement the vision and strategic direction of MCA.
Take overall responsibility for the operational management and day-to-day financial management of the charity and Mortlake Hall.
Work closely with current Director of MCA in run-up to maternity leave and maintaining contact, especially during the statutory Keep In Touch days (KIT).
Maintain relationship with existing funders for the charity and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Oversee building and facilities management, working closely with the Building & Facilities Subcommittee.
Ensure that the local community is engaged with the work of MCA through ongoing consultation, discussion and community planning activities/events.
Respond proactively to changes in the voluntary, statutory and wider sectors to ensure the charity’s sustainability while maintaining its identity and independence.
Essential experience:
Senior leadership or management experience within a charity, voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisation.
Experience working with, reporting to, or supporting a Board of Trustees or equivalent governance body.
Proven experience of managing and supporting staff and volunteers.
Demonstrable experience of securing funding, including writing successful funding bids and managing funder relationships.
Experience of budget management and financial oversight, working closely with a Treasurer or finance lead.
Experience of overseeing projects or programmes, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
Experience of managing buildings, facilities or community assets (or the ability to develop this quickly).
Desirable experience:
Experience leading a community centre or multi-use community facility.
Experience of partnership working with local authorities, statutory bodies and community organisations.
Experience of organisational development.
Knowledge of Mortlake community and/ or the voluntary sector within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

When young people in care turn 18, all the support they’ve relied on can fall away, literally overnight. Suddenly, they have to navigate adulthood on their own. This would be tough for any teenager, even if they could fall back on their family for help. So it’s not surprising that two out of three care-experienced young people feel unprepared to leave care. Too many still don’t get the support they need to make it safely past this cliff edge.
Care leavers aged 18-21 are nine times more likely to experience homelessness than their peers.
Settle exists to change this. We’re an award-winning charity, supporting care-experienced young people as they move into their first home, so they can confidently transition into independent living, avoid eviction and homelessness, and establish the foundations they need to thrive in adulthood. We are on a mission to end homelessness among care-experienced young people.

Hours: The hours are full-time (35 hours per week) preferred, with attendance at funder events outside core hours as needed from time to time – part-time will be considered for the right candidate but we envisage at least 0.8FTE / 28 hours per week

There are two parts to the Primary Science Mentor role. Team Leader - Carer Peer Support (Adult Mental Health)

We are looking for someone to join our local, independent Carer-led charity, someone who has their own personal story of caring, able to use that lived experience as well as their professional skills and knowledge to help others. The postholder will collaborate extensively with our funding partner, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, as well as other charity delivery partners to improve the identification of, and support for, unpaid family and friend Carers of adults with mental health needs. The work may also involve identifying children and young people in caring roles and brokering access to our Young Carers Support team.
As well as leading a small, part-time team of Carer Peer Support Workers, you will work alongside them, providing front-line, individual and group dedicated support (practical, social and clinical interventions). Purpose of the role
The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.
The Finance Manager is responsible for finance strategy, planning and oversight, reporting, regulatory compliance and aligning finance strategies with organisational goals and operations. The FM is a member of the management team, provides key insights to support business decisions, liaises with the board of trustees and holds the position of Company Secretary.
Responsibilities
· Develop ENN’s finance strategy in support of the delivery of its 5 year strategic goals.
· Proactively enhance ENN’s financial systems to manage and oversee project budgets, forecast trends, identify opportunities, and analyse organizational performance through data-driven decision making
· Strategic Support – Provide management information and financial insights to the management team and trustees including identification and mitigation of strategic and operational financial risks.
· Line Management – Line manage and mentor the finance team (currently 1 management accountant) and ensure positive, productive, and supportive team relationships
· Oversee the core finance functions; including multi-currency (GBP, EUR and USD) payables , receivables, bank reconciliations, cash flow and general ledger reconciliations
· Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead the annual budgeting process and track financial performance of the organisation as well as budget variance analysis of project P&L’s
· Manage finance year end and the Charity’s annual and other audits, including holding the relationship with auditors and preparing the appropriate statements
· Contribute to the organisation’s income generation ambitions, supporting partner due diligence and in providing advice, guidance and assistance, and in preparation of funding proposal budgets that meet ENN’s requirements
· Internal Controls & Compliance - Advise the management team on any measures required to ensure that financial systems (including payroll and banking systems), policies, procedures and controls are robust and adhere to regulatory requirements and implement these procedures where appropriate.
· Manage effective payroll, including: Preparing payroll calculations, submissions on Bright Pay pension administration, payroll year end schedules and PSA calculation and submission.
· Charity Governance – Company Secretary duties ensuring timely and accurate statutory filing with Companies House and The Charity Commission
· Maintain high quality records in line with regulatory requirements and GDPR
· Other tasks reasonably requested by the CEO
Person Specification
Essential
· Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
· Extensive experience of leading financial management for organisations in the non-profit sector, with a thorough understanding of charity specific financial obligations.
· Demonstrated experience in reporting to and engaging with management teams and/or trustees on matters related to financial risk management, including presenting complex financial data, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
· Experience of building and managing grant funded project accounting with proportional allocation of staff costs to funds.
· Experience of developing funding proposals with a variety of funders, including institutional funders, foundations and NGO’s
· Experience of managing payroll.
· Experience in line managing a team including appropriate delegation, performance management, staff engagement and development, and effective coordination of team workload
· Ability to work both autonomously and as pro-active business partner to members of a dispersed team.
· Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and a range of commercial financial software (ENN use iplicit accounting software)

The Finance Manager is a member of ENN’s Management Team and reports to the Chief Executive Officer and has line management responsibility for a small team (currently 1 management accountant).

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Mental Health & Wellbeing Project Worker to contribute to the development and delivery of flexible support services which address the psychological and emotional needs of children, young people and families living with the effects of domestic abuse, in North Tyneside and Northumberland. You will help to develop, organise and facilitate key aspects of the service as requested by the Team Coordinator such one-to-one support interventions, group work, and youth participation opportunities in a variety of settings including in-house, schools and community venues. Post is to be predominantly based in Northumberland.
