Influential Stars was founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour and has spent many years raising awareness and support for UK causes. Volunteers play a vital role in helping turn that vision into real world impact, enabling experiences that raise funds, create joy for winners, and support charitable organisations across the UK.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised and supportive Volunteer Campaign, Creator and Activity Support Manager to oversee new registrations, support Creators from onboarding through to campaign completion, upload new experiences to the platform and assist with live campaigns.

This role focuses on ensuring new Creators and Collaborators receive a smooth, welcoming and professional experience, that experiences are accurately uploaded and maintained, and that live campaigns receive the support needed to run successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new Creator and Collaborator registrations from initial application through to onboarding and next steps

• Review registration information, follow up where anything is missing and ensure records are kept up to date in the CRM

• Guide new Creators and Collaborators through the registration and onboarding process, including selecting their cause, campaign and experience where appropriate

• Arrange, support and conduct introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate.

• Upload new experiences to the Influential Stars platform, ensuring descriptions, pricing, links, images and key details are accurate

• Regularly review live experiences and update or remove listings where pricing, availability or exclusions have changed

• Send approved welcome emails, registration communications and onboarding information using existing templates

• Arrange and support introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate

• Monitor and support all live campaigns on the platform

• Liaise with creators throughout the live campaign period to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support

• Schedule, diarise, and send campaign communications using approved templates

• Coordinate with internal team members when campaigns go live

• Provide reminders, tips, and prompts to help creators maximise engagement

• Respond to creator enquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Conduct support calls where appropriate

• Maintain accurate records of communications and campaign progress using our CRM management system

• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong customer service experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence using computers and online systems

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently

• Supportive, positive, and professional approach

• Reliable and proactive working style

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience uploading products, listings or content to a website or online platform

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Job Purpose:

To lead, structure, and oversee the organisation’s entire Story Intelligence function, ensuring a consistent, ethical, and high-quality pipeline of verified story leads is identified, tracked, and delivered to the Outreach Team in a timely and actionable format.

This role exists to convert raw discovery activity into a coordinated intelligence system that connects research, trend monitoring, story scouting, and contact discovery into a single, structured pipeline of qualified story opportunities.

The Story Research & Intelligence Manager is responsible for designing and maintaining the systems, standards, and workflows used to identify, assess, prioritise, and hand over potential stories. This includes ensuring that all story leads are relevant, appropriately contextualised, and aligned with the organisation’s mission and safeguarding principles before they progress to outreach.

A core function of this role is to ensure clarity and alignment between the Story Intelligence Team and the Outreach Team, so that outreach activity is always based on well-qualified, well-understood, and appropriately prioritised story leads rather than fragmented or incomplete information.

The role also ensures consistency in how stories are evaluated, categorised, and prioritised, maintaining a structured pipeline that supports both short-term outreach targets and long-term narrative development goals.

Ultimately, this position serves as the strategic control centre for story discovery—ensuring the organisation maintains a disciplined, scalable, and ethically grounded system for turning public narratives, emerging conversations, and lived experiences into structured opportunities for engagement and storytelling.

About the role:

The Story Research Intelligence Manager oversees the story discovery process and manages a team responsible for sourcing potential guests across social media, news outlets, podcasts, documentaries, books, charities, advocacy groups, support networks, and community organisations.

The manager ensures a consistent pipeline of qualified story leads is passed to the Outreach Team.

They develop approved systems for tracking leads, prioritising opportunities, and maintaining story databases.

We are looking for our next Chair of Trustees – someone who will work closely with our Executive Team and Board to guide the organisation through what is both a challenging and genuinely exciting time. The funding environment is tough. The political context is difficult. And yet the need for what we do has never been greater.

This is an unpaid voluntary role. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with our Volunteer Expenses Policy.

The successful candidate will lead a vibrant, well-established, national charity as it navigates the next chapter of its story.

Main tasks

• Developing and setting our future strategy, alongside the Executive Team and other Trustees
• Helping shape and deliver our future, identifying opportunities in an evolving landscape

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Help Build and Support Our Volunteer Community

The Lyonic Scots Society is seeking a passionate and organised Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, support, and develop volunteers across our growing international community.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in building the volunteer team that will help preserve Scottish heritage, strengthen our community, organise events, and support the development of the Lyonic Scots Society.

As Volunteer Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our organisation, ensuring volunteers feel welcomed, valued, supported, and inspired to contribute their skills and time.

About the Role

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for helping the Society attract, recruit, engage, and retain volunteers across a wide range of roles.

You will work closely with the Chair, Committee members, and volunteers to create a positive and rewarding volunteer experience while helping the Society grow its capacity and impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Volunteer Recruitment

• Develop and promote volunteer opportunities.
• Create and manage volunteer recruitment campaigns.
• Respond to volunteer enquiries.
• Arrange informal volunteer conversations and onboarding.
• Help match volunteers to suitable roles based on their interests and skills.

2. Volunteer Support

• Welcome and support new volunteers.
• Act as a key point of contact for volunteers.
• Help ensure volunteers feel included, informed, and appreciated.
• Support volunteers with any questions or concerns.
• Encourage volunteer wellbeing and engagement.

3. Volunteer Development

• Help identify training and development opportunities.
• Support volunteers to gain confidence and experience.
• Encourage progression into leadership and committee roles where appropriate.
• Help build a positive and supportive volunteer culture.

4. Volunteer Administration

• Maintain volunteer records and contact information.
• Track volunteer numbers and participation.
• Assist with volunteer communications.
• Support the organisation of volunteer meetings and events.

5. Community Building

• Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Promote the Society’s values and mission.
• Encourage collaboration between volunteers across different projects and locations.
• Celebrate volunteer achievements and contributions.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

• Excellent communication and people skills.

• An interest in Scottish heritage, community development, or volunteering.

Previous experience coordinating volunteers, managing teams, or working within community organisations is welcome but not essential.
