At Operation Smile UK, we work with global colleagues to improve the lives of those living with cleft conditions around the world – by providing surgery and comprehensive care services to patients and strengthening health care systems in the countries where we work. Operation Smile UK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors and trusts and foundations. The Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in the team securing critical income from global and national corporate partners and from our network of committed community fundraisers.

We are looking for a candidate who thrives on building relationships – with partners and with colleagues in the UK and around the world. You will be a brilliant communicator, someone who can juggle multiple priorities and inspire people to believe in our story. Ideally, you will have at least a year’s experience in a relationship management role (in a commercial or fundraising setting), and a particular interest in international development. In return, you will be part of an ambitious and high-performing team, working with national and global corporate partners, gaining international programme exposure and being given the opportunity to take responsibility from the outset. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Fundraising

· Take the lead on managing a portfolio of small and medium corporate partners - taking responsibility for all aspects of these partnerships, including communication, staff activities, events, reporting, income collection and acknowledgements

· Provide support to the Senior P&P Manager in activities relating to OSUK’s global corporate partners through managing employee-led activities across the portfolio.

· To manage and develop new initiatives for employee engagement and community participants

· Support on new business acquisition, specifically in creating new avenues for income generation through existing partnerships.

· Responsible for managing inbound enquiries relating to corporate partnerships

· Lead on producing corporate-related social media and communications content

· Maintain orderly upkeep of all relevant records and databases

Community Fundraising

· Lead on the handling of all inbound community fundraising correspondence, including donations received, merchandise and speaking requests

· Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse, maintaining their upkeep and reconciliation with Operation Smile's financial and reporting systems

Additional Responsibilities

· Expand your understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector

· Support other areas of the Partnership Team’s work, including events.

Are you interested in working with a reputed international sustainability organisation to influence policy developments on sustainability globally? ISEAL is hiring a Senior Policy Officer to join our team responsible for public engagement and policy influencing. This is the perfect role for someone who is keen to work in an increasingly dynamic regulatory and policy landscape to strengthen the role of voluntary sustainability tools alongside emerging mandatory measures. 

The core objective of the Policy and Engagement team is to support governments, civil society and other business influencers to understand, identify and use credible sustainability systems.  We do this through direct engagement with relevant government bodies in priority countries, engagement with individual businesses and business platforms and building member awareness and knowledge about relevant policy files and implications of new policies for their schemes and impact. The team focused on the UK, Switzerland, EU-wide policy and key EU members states, as well as on countries in the global south, including Colombia, Indonesia, India and Brazil.

The Senior Policy Officer will help drive engagement with policymakers in key countries in which ISEAL and its partners have a strategic policy interest, with a view to influencing the policy narrative on sustainability and specific policies. The role will identify policy engagement opportunities and provide insightful analysis of policy developments and trends.  In addition, the role will work closely with ISEAL members based in these regions to combine efforts and align on policy influencing.

The ideal candidate will have had exposure to working in an international policy context, either working as part of civic society with governments or as part of a government department. A strong grounding in sustainability issues and related key political and policy debates will be essential, along with some working knowledge of key policy trends in the human rights, climate and sustainability standards space. Prior experience in working in the EU, UK at policy and regulatory landscape or public affairs level will be an advantage. The Senior Officer reports to the Director, Policy and Engagement.

Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

Policy and government engagement

• Support ISEAL´s strategic engagement with identified key policymaker targets and audiences from a policy influencing and role of voluntary tools perspective
• Keep track of policy developments in key areas and jurisdictions and provide insights and analysis to inform ISEAL’s policy engagement work
• Help identify opportunities for engagements with relevant policymaker audiences and government agencies in key jurisdictions and engage with them as delegated and supported by other colleagues
• Set up direct meetings and other engagement opportunities for ISEAL, coordinate ISEAL’s input, advise and engagement and prepare briefs, reports and submissions for engagement purposes
• Contribute to establishing engagement and influencing strategies and to the development of ISEAL’s policy positions
• Provide internal advisory support to other teams on critical policy files based on own subject matter and jurisdiction knowledge
• Support team in development of policy papers, position papers, press releases, strategic messaging on policy issues
• Facilitate webinars and workshops on policy related topics

Other

• Track policy developments and analyse how they  affect sustainability systems, ISEAL and its members
• Help shape ISEAL’s work on global policy engagement and outreach in the next strategy period

Experience, Knowledge and Attributes

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. sustainability or environmental studies, human rights, law, int. development/ social policy, EU policy etc.) and/or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience working in a policy context as part of civic society or within a government department supporting policy engagement
• Good working knowledge of the sustainability policy landscape and key debates in the space
• Strong skills in policy analysis and policy intelligence
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesise information
• Prior exposure to sustainability standards, passionate about sustainability linked policy issues such as human rights, climate, nature, due diligence  
• Some experience and comfortable with public speaking, e.g. facilitating webinars or workshops
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a largely remote, international environment, including occasional international time-zone calls
• Confidence in using IT systems, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. MS Teams, Skype, GoToMeeting, etc), use of contact management databases (e.g. Salesforce) and proficiency in MS Office

The CEO is looking to appoint a highly organised, pragmatic, and detail-focused professional to deliver executive, project and governance support on an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year.

About Sculpt UK

Sculpt is a UK-based charity with over 20 years’ experience, who support young people to shape their own future. Our vision is that we live in a society where young people can be fulfilled through their education, work and participation in wider society. The need for our work is clear given the increasing problems young people face and their lack of confidence and awareness regarding their journey into the world of work.

We run a range of bespoke programmes that work directly with young people in conjunction with partners - schools, careers hubs, employers, local government and further/higher education. Sculpt addresses interconnected areas that contribute towards our vision: Employability, Youth Voice and Leadership, and Community Action. We build the skills and experience of young people focusing on the transitions between school, education and work. In particular, we are skilled in tailoring our work to meet the needs of young people in alternative provision and those at risk of not being in employment, education and training.

What we do and how we do it is also informed by the Sculpt Youth Advisory Board, consisting of young people who meet monthly to advise the Sculpt Board on matters such as the needs of young people, product design and programme impact. In addition, we have a Sculpt Alumni community who contribute to the development of our work.

What are we looking for?

Sculpt UK is hiring a bookings coordinator and youth programme officer who would deliver our direct intervention work with young people aged 12-16 with a focus on skills building around employment through our holistic work experience programmes. Approximately 75% of our under 16s work involves working with young people who have SEND or who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training). Training on working specifically with SEND students will be offered to the successful applicant.

The role will also manage our bookings with schools and individuals across projects. This job is a 70/30 split between Youth Programme Officer and Bookings Coordinator.

Responsibilities :

Youth Programme Officer:

• Adhere to Sculpt UK’s safeguarding practices and procedures at all time 

• Deliver funded programmes focused on youth employability, leadership and youth voice in line with Sculpt UK’s delivery style and ethos

• Work with other Youth Programme Officers to successfully to deliver projects and support in data collection required for reporting

• Use their experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly to age, need and interest

• Facilitate workshops on topics such as communication, gender stereotypes, social media, finance & skills, teamwork

• Run mock interviews with programme participants

• Contribute to the development of a Theory of Change for each project 

• Ensure young people complete relevant entry and exit surveys 

• Undertake relevant training associated with Sculpt UK’s work included but not restricted to child protection & safeguarding

We are seeking a dynamic Policy Officer to join our policy team, to support our lobbying and advocacy work, raise the profile of specialist FE with parliamentarians and represent the views of members. The work is varied, including monitoring parliamentary activity, undertaking research, meeting with members, helping to prepare consultation responses and analysing government proposals and published policies. The postholder will also take a lead in communicating Natspec’s policy positions to members and other stakeholders.

The main duties of the role include:

• Monitoring parliamentary and media activity to alert the Natspec team to relevant issues
• Maintaining and developing Natspec’s parliamentary database, increasing links with MPs and ministers
• Undertaking research to support Natspec’s policy work

We are looking for a self-motivated, innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to develop strong working relationships. You don’t need to have a background in learning difficulties or disabilities or further education, although a demonstrable interest in these areas would be welcome. We are looking for a Fundraising Officer (Philanthropy) to join our exceptional, talented and successful fundraising team, all of whom have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for our mission to support young people achieve their ambitions.

We have a fantastic and diverse range of philanthropic supporters - from key individual donors through to local community foundations and major philanthropic trusts. As part of the philanthropy team, you will play a key and varied role in growing and stewarding these partnerships - ranging from taking responsibility for your own portfolio of philanthropic supporters through to contributing to funding bids, writing compelling reports, and managing supporter engagement.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. This role will be based at our Head Office in London. The role will require frequent travel both within London and regionally.

Job Purpose

· To ensure the smooth running of the School Food Matters office

· With the support of our IT consultant, manage the charity’s IT systems to ensure optimal efficiency

· Develop our Airtable database to maximise the opportunities available to us on this platform

Key Tasks

 Administration

· Liaising with our landlords on issues regarding our office space and facilities

· Ensuring the smooth running of the office, overseeing the set up and maintenance of office systems

· Managing the enquiries@ email address and answering telephone enquiries

· Assisting with administration and coordination of any events held by SFM e.g. strategy away days

· Organising staff events including celebrations, sporting challenges, quizzes and general fun to keep the team engaged and happy!

· Developing and maintaining an inventory of materials, and keeping the office materials tidy and well managed

· Working with the Super User Group to ensure that Airtable is used effectively to support delivery of our programmes, and to ensure contact details are accurate and up to date

Schools’ Project Officer (4-5 days per week; 10 months contract with opportunity for renewal)

The job
This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at a pivotal time, and make significant impact as our grass-roots Schools’ Project Officer. You will be visiting schools, explaining about what we do at assemblies and going for follow up sessions, and then giving email feedback to applications.

We are a small lively charity promoting the personal development of year 12s in partner schools, through challenging activities that they design, plan and finally undertake adult-free. We invite students (individually or in groups) to develop their own challenges well outside their ‘comfort zones’, and to be responsible for every stage of the process. We help them plan and manage risk, and give them expenses funding. Our award winners have climbed the highest UK peaks, cycled to Paris, performed plays at school, harnessed green power via a bike, among many other imaginative and ambitious projects.   

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

The 10-month post is up to 4-5 days per week, based in Southwark, with frequent travel to schools across London. The salary is £26,600–£35,000 pa pro rata. Flexible working is considered.

About the Role

As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage media enquiries, build trusted relationships with journalists and ensure our spokespeople are briefed and supported for interviews. You'll work closely with colleagues across external affairs, social media and frontline services, and provide expert media advice to senior leaders. You'll also line manage our Stories Officer and oversee our Stories Library, giving a platform to victims' voices and experiences.
