Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by
managing their schedule, communications, and key relationships—while also
supporting governance functions and ensuring smooth coordination with the
Board of Trustees and senior leadership team.
Co-ordinate and service all Board of Trustee meetings and committees to ensure
the charity is effectively governed. You will provide support to the Trustees as
required.
Support the Senior Leadership Team by co-ordinating and servicing meetings,
creating and monitoring action logs and administering the Risk Register.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support:
Provide proactive administrative and strategic support to the CEO and
Deputy CEO, including diary management, meeting coordination, and
handling correspondence.
Manage and prioritise emails, draft communications, and assist in the
preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
Coordinate travel, event attendance, and speaking engagements for the
CEO and Deputy CEO.
Board & Governance Support:
Act as the key administrative support for the Board of Trustees and
Board committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing and
distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions.
Maintain governance calendars, ensuring alignment with charity
reporting requirements and deadlines.
Support the CEO and Head of Governance & Operations in ensuring
compliance with regulatory and governance obligations (e.g., Charity
Commission, Companies House).
Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and Trustees, and
support Board induction, development and off boarding processes.
Maintain accurate records and filing systems for confidential and
governance documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO in a
professional and timely manner.
Support the planning and execution of high-profile meetings and events
involving funders, partners, and supporters.
Office and Project Support:
Assist in the delivery and tracking of cross-organisational projects led by
the CEO.
Coordinate Leadership meetings including preparing agendas, papers
and monitoring progress against the annual plan
Coordinate the reporting from strategic working groups to monitor
progresses against objectives
Coordinate and prepare assurance documents including the Risk
Register, CEO report and regulatory or compliance documents, as
required
Provide occasional support to the senior management team, as required
Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.

management. This role is vital to ensuring that income from donations is
processed promptly and accurately, enabling timely thank-you
communications and excellent donor stewardship. The role will also undertake

Key responsibilities
Donation Processing & Stewardship Support
Accurately process all cash and cheque income batches into our
fundraising CRM and finance systems.
Process and code incoming donations from a range of sources, including
online platforms (e.g JustGiving, Raisely, PayPal, Stripe, CAF, Enthuse).
Ensure all funds are banked in a timely manner and act as the main
contact for arranging cash collections.
Maintain and update the donor database with accurate donation records
and supporter details.
Process supporter Gift Aid declarations and assist with submission of Gift
Aid claims.
Liaise with the fundraising and communications teams to ensure donors
are thanked promptly and appropriately.
Flag anomalies or issues with donation data to relevant staff to maintain

Finance Administration
Support the monthly reconciliation of income between finance systems.
Support the Finance Executives with processing purchase invoices, staff
expenses, and supplier payments in accordance with charity procedures,
as needed.
Support monthly and quarterly finance reports and audits as required.
Data Management
Ensure high standards of accuracy and integrity of CRMs and finance
databases through regular data cleaning and maintenance.
Help compile reports for funders, internal monitoring, and annual
accounts.
Assist the Data and Systems Manager with reviewing existing systems
and processes to identify opportunities for improvements.
Follow GDPR and internal data handling policies when processing
supporter and financial information.

The role of Personal Assistant (PA) is a key opportunity to work alongside and support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) as they lead Church Army forward. The SLT comprises the CEO and three Executive Directors with multiple demands on their time and multiple responsibilities so a PA who can help them work efficiently and effectively is really important. The PA is a trusted and valued colleague who can assist the SLT maximise the impact of their time.

An Appeal Support Officer is required to support the activity associated with a
major appeal for the charity. The appeal will raise £1.85m enabling a step change
in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre.
Reporting to and working closely with our Senior Major Donor & Philanthropy
Manager, Appeal Consultant and Head of Fundraising, you will support the
coordination of appeal activity planning, as we undertake the public phase of the
appeal.
Supporting our established Appeal Board, you will coordinate communications,
prospecting and stewardship management of our major donor growth
programme and portfolio, as we build up both our private fundraising phase and
undertake our wider public fundraising activity.
You will help bring together a range of different public fundraising activities

Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Fundraising Support
· Check current platforms to collate daily registrations and assign to appropriate region
· Manage Facebook donation report through GivePanel
· Monitor Community Fundraising email inbox, contact supporters and fulfil fundraising pack requests
· Assist with the regional running portfolio and steward runners
· Answer and respond to enquiries on the fundraising hotline
· Assist the community fundraising team with admin, marketing, and stewardship
· Manage our offline fundraising materials through our fulfilment partner, ordering replacement materials when needed
· Contribute content for regional social media
· Ensure all fundraising activities operate within best practice, regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements
· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and other relevant legislative requirements.

We’re looking for a multitalented Digital Marketing Officer who has a passion and skill for creating captivating and emotionally driven content, who can also support fundraising campaigns and drive optimisation through user feedback and data analysis. You’ll be confident with writing copy for websites and newsletters, creating social media posts, and working with design tools to produce digital materials that inspire people to donate, support, and champion our cause.

This role involves travel and occasional overnight stays (with mileage reimbursed) across England and North Wales. While we prioritise the use of public transport this is not always feasible. Therefore, a valid driving licence is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and Curate Impact Content
- Create compelling, emotionally resonant stories and visual content that demonstrate our impact, working closely with colleagues to ensure all materials are brand-aligned, accessible, and consistent in tone and style.
Design Campaign Materials and Reports
- Deliver digital campaigns by tailoring communications for key donor audiences, continually testing to optimise reach and engagement.
Digital Communications Oversight
- Manage social media content in partnership with the Digital Manager, using analytics to optimise performance and identifying emerging digital trends to enhance supporter engagement and income.
- Collaborate across teams to improve supporter journeys and digital engagement, while motivating ambassadors and influencers to amplify our reach and grow income.

About The Role
We are seeking a colleague with learning and development knowledge, graphic design, and content development skills to join the Learning and Development Team at Home-Start UK.
This is an exciting role, which will support the development, and maintenance of a new Knowledge Centre and content for our training and learning activities. You will be creating a wide range of informative resources, that appeal to different learning styles and objectives such as ‘tool kits,’ templates, video, audio, blogs etc as alternative ways of learning to support the work of the Home-Start network.
Working with Subject Matter Experts and colleagues across the organisation, the coordinator will be a point of contact for content creation, learning enquiries, administration, and communications.

Public Affairs Manager (Fixed term contract)
Salary: £34,237pa
Your purpose
This is a critical role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department. As Public Affairs Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and project managing and delivering public affairs work as well as leading public relations work that increases our profile with policy makers. In doing so, you will play an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, find their voice for success in school and in life.
Your responsibilities
This is a senior role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department, as part of the wider Learning, Impact and Influence Directorate
Public Affairs (80%)

Drive forward Voice 21’s public affairs strategy, building key relationships, understanding and momentum that develops Voice 21’s influence with Government and non-parliamentary policy makers, ensuring that we have a meaningful role in shaping an oracy entitlement for every child, and appropriate mechanisms for its implementation

Deliver Public Affairs business as usual work, for example; organising school visits, leading political and parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping and horizon-scanning and organising events in parliament and at party conferences

Work with policy makers on local, regional and national level to influence those responsible for the delivery of education at primary and secondary level

Engage and manage stakeholders and other key people across and beyond the organisation who work with the Learning, Impact and Influence directorate to leverage relationships in pursuit of our organisational strategy and mission

Lead on Voice 21’s role as secretariat to the Oracy All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)

Produce/co-produce consultation responses, blogs, internal and external briefings, parliamentary questions and other related communications in line with our content strategy

Act as an internal expert consultant on public affairs, decision makers and implementation of our agenda
Public Relations (20%)

Deliver public relations activity to raise our profile and support our brand, including through awards, events and speaking engagements

Spotting reactive communications opportunities in line with the public affairs strategy
